Elizabeth blew into another Kleenex that Maka handed her.

"So you two were pretty close huh?" Maka asked.

"Yes, we were. She was my aunty after all." Elizabeth said.

Maka nodded in reply. "I see. I'm sorry about that. It shouldn't have happened."

Lizzy looked down at her shoes and sniffed. There was a long silence as she tried to pull herself together.

After Maka rubbed Lizzy's back for a while in an attempt to make her feel better, Lizzy finally felt better.

"What's the real reason you left Ciel?" Maka asked carefully.

"What do you mean?" Lizzy said.

"You contradicted yourself when we talked earlier. You said that Ciel was in love with Sebastian. But you said that the only time he smiled was when you told him you love him." Maka stated.

"Oh, I see where you got confused. He smiled because he thought he fulfilled the last duty that his parents ever gave him. He smiled not because he loves me, but because of his parents."

"Oh." Maka said with a small sigh. "So he never loved you?"

"No. He created a fake emotion between us. It was... Artificial."

"So was your love that you had for him artificial too?"

"I think so. I don't really know." Elizabeth took in a deep breath. "But my best friend told me once that I would know if I was in love."

"That's why it's so hard."

"Hm?"

Maka took a minute to put her words together. "That's why it's so hard to know if it's real love though. You never know if it is just artificial or the real thing until you actually experienced love."

"Do you think I'm in love?"

Maka thought about it. "I think you might be. There's a possibility. In the mean time, Just try to ignore thinking about him. If you miss him, then we'll say that you love him. If you don't, then we'll say that you don't love him."

It was silent again. "Do you love Soul?" Elizabeth asked eventually.

"I don't know. I'm not sure yet. I'm almost absolutely positive that I am though." Maka replied with a smile.

"I think he loves you."

"Really?" Maka gasped. "Why would he love me? I'm not all that much."

Elizabeth laughed. "Yes you. And come on, you're one of the nicest people I ever met. You understand me, and you and I are completely different."

"We're not all that different."

"I'm a demon. You kill demons like me."

"Okay, we are different like that, but you don't want to eat human souls. You are pure hearted."

She smiled in response. It was quiet. They had nothing to say.

"As for Grell, I'll try not to rip his head off." Elizabeth breathed out as he stood up and headed for the door.

"He'll be lucky if any of the guys don't. They don't like his... Uh, personality all that much." Maka laughed.

Elizabeth giggled as they left to go to the big meeting.

William didn't know what to make of Grell. His actions just don't make sense.

He chose to ignore it because things with Grell always blow over in less than an hour.

William's choice proved right when Grell was acting his normal self at the meeting. Grell had laid across the table in what he had called a "sexy way."

Grell is insane. William thought as he shook his head and sat in the chair at the head o the table.

"Grell, get off the table." He said as he pushed up his glasses.

"Awe, but Will~." Grell replied, obviously wanting to be hit.

William refrained from hitting him. He knew very well that hitting him could turn him on. He wanted to see what would happen if he didn't.

"Oooooh, so cold!" Grell swayed back and forth.

He hit him over the head with his Death Scythe and Grell slid off the table and onto the floor in a heap of red.

At least he could knock him out this way.

Elizabeth sat four seats away from William. Between them was Crona, Soul, and Maka.

"So, we'll begin with Elizabeth." William began. "Elizabeth, I talked to the Shinigami in charge and Lord Death. It seems that you will be tested."

Elizabeth nodded. "What am I to do?"

"Every morning and evening, Death The Kid, Liz, Patty, Crona, Black*Star, Tsubaki, and Ronald Knox will accompany you into the middle of the busiest towns nearby. You must withstand your hunger. There will be someone watching you at all times to ensure you don't try anything. This will happen until we all agree that you are able to withdraw from human souls properly."

"Fair enough."

"You will have human food."

Elizabeth nodded, having no objections and nothing to say.

"Our next topic is to discuss Sebastian and Ciel."

Sebastian smiled. Ciel wasn't enjoying this one bit.

"It doesn't feel right." Ciel complained.

"What if I move it there?" Sebastian asked.

Ciel took a second to adjust. "No. Not there. To the right maybe?"

Sebastian obeyed, but it still wasn't right.

Ciel let out an impatient huff. "Try pushing it up a little more."

Sebastian pushed the pillow up under his head.

"That will do I guess." Ciel said finally. He turned on his side.

Sebastian turned away, but a tug on his coat stopped him. He faced his Bochan once again.

"Yes, Bochan?" Sebastian asked. He was growing impatient with the 17 year old.

"Am I gay?" Ciel asked so straightforward that it startled Sebastian. He had to use all his self-control not to laugh.

"Do you love Elizabeth?"

Ciel was quiet.

It was silent for so long that Sebastian thought he could leave. He turned once again toward the door, but Ciel still held his coat. He pulled at it harshly and Sebastian fell back onto the bed on his back.

"You're losing your balance." Ciel stated.

"You're taking your time answering." Sebastian sent back.

"I asked you a question first."

"Yes."

"Yes I asked you a question or yes I'm gay?"

"No, you're not gay."

Ciel was quiet.

"Demons have feelings?" Ciel asked.

"Yes we do." Sebastian admitted.

Sebastian hated that he had things in common with humans.

Humans. So disgustingly stupid and vulgar. They believe that they are above all others.

Humans. So stupid to think that their standards and their beliefs are the correct ones; that their way of life is so correct. They then judge other species for their so called "cruelty."

Not even Sebastian judged other species for the way they lived. Except for humans. They're just so…. slow. Dumb. Dim. Dull. Dense. Thick-headed.

Every living thing needs to eat. Most humans eat animals, all humans eat plants. Who are they to say that demons cannot eat their souls? Do they think that we really care what they think? Anyway, demons desire to live as well. Demons just have… a different diet. Eating human's souls are just like humans eating their food. Humans and Demons really don't care enough about the thing they're eating. As long as it tastes good and keeps them alive.

The questions came slower now, but the answers came quickly. As if Sebastian already knew what Ciel would ask.

"As in emotions?"

"Yes."

"Hate?"

"Yes."

"Fear?"

"Sometimes."

"Do you fear anything?"

"Not in a long time."

"How long?"

"Since I first became a demon."

"You were a human?"

"Yes."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"How long ago?" Ciel asked.

Sebastian had to think about that one. It's been centuries, even thousands of years since he was human. Ciel could tell he didn't know the answer.

"I see." Ciel said.

They stayed there for a moment. There was yet another long silence. Sebastian knew better than to get up and leave. Ciel would just make him stay while he thought anyway.

"Why does Elizabeth think I love you?" Ciel asked.

"I think it's because we are constantly together." Sebastian replied.

"That can't be all of it. She's a woman, there's more than the tip of the iceberg."

"Ah, Bochan, you're learning!" Sebastian joked, rubbing his master's head.

"Shut up." Ciel grew annoyed and pawed Sebastian's hand away from him.

"Bochan, come on, this is a big day!"

"That's an order." He said firmly.

"Yes, Bochan." Sebastian's grin remained on his face; the only thing that left evidence of the conversation.

A/N;

I`m thinking that maybe it`s about time that I brought Tsubaki and Black*Star together, in a couple of chapters probably. I have almost no ideas, and my friends aren't being that helpful. (They don't ship Black*Star and Tsubaki! :O How could they?! By the way, do they have a ship name? What is it?) I love it when you guys give me some ideas. I make someone shot chapters too every once in a while to get my brain juices flowing when I'm struggling, so would you guys like me to post them whenever I make one? I would just make a different story for them.

This is going to be a rant now.

I'm sorry about all of the conversations between Maka and Lizzy. Are they getting a bit too much? Like all of them remind me of psychology and therapist stuff. I try to tone it down, but it just kind of…. happens. You know?

So as I was writing the part about how eating human souls isn't that much different from humans eating animals, I felt a huge disappointment in people. Usually, I don't care, but I can't help but feel bad now that I've written it and thought about it. I have a feeling that soon I'm going to be vegetarian.

I'd like to say thanks to VampyreEmoHunter. This awesome person is who motivated me to write the fanfictions again. Thanks for PMing me and making me realize that you guys actually care about it that much! You're the best :D

Reviews make me smile... Like this :D

if you like it, don't forget to follow or favourite. :) 3
