AN: Hello everyone! So this is a rewrite of the first chapter and in my own personal opinion it goes a lot more in depth with the story and it gives a little more information about the characters. So I hope that you enjoy this new chapter! I also put the new summary in this chapter because it was too long to put in the summary box. LOL. Also this is not betad or pre-read so all of the mistakes are mine.
Disclaimer: The characters and their original identities belong to SM but the plot is mine so no touchy!

Chapter 1
"Congratulations to the Class of 2015!"
The roar of excitement filled my ears as the announcer confirmed our commencement. The finality of graduating college was here and we did it! Hats are flying around me as I search for Rose and Alice in the large crowd of graduates and oncoming parents, friends and other relatives that surged the ceremony reception space. Finally, I spot Rose with her family and her current, Riley. I turn, deciding to talk to her later after I find my parents in the crowd.
"Bella! Congrats to my baby girl!" I turn after hearing my name being called. Renee is pushing Charlie in his chair towards me. He's looking good today, as if the pain has disappeared for a while. "So, what now girlie? I'm sure you won't have a hard time finding a good job here in New York. So, are you going to continue at the editing firm you interned for or…" she keeps going on as she pushes Charlie up to me. I bend down and hug him close to me. I can feel his weakness in his embrace; the cancer is steadily making him worse and worse.
"Renee, breathe. Let the girl speak, I'm sure she will answer your questions once you shut up." He laughs slightly and starts to wheeze afterwards.
"Oh hush, Charlie!" She lightly pats his shoulder; similar to the way she used to hit him when he made fun of her when I was a child. But, this time, you could see the care she made to not hit his shoulder too hard, careful not to injure him. " I was just wondering what is in my baby's future in this crowded place. And I want to know how long it will take her to find me a son and give me grandbabies for me to spoil." She stops Charlie right be side me and hugs me with a kiss to my cheek.
"Renee, the child just graduated! Let her live before you start with that grandbaby nonsense." Charlie just shakes his head and pats my leg in support.
" Mom, I'm not going back to the firm. Although I loved working there, I want to write my own stories, not just edit and improve someone else's ideas. And for the grandkids, you have a while for that mom." We head back towards the exit, in hopes to find Alice in the crowd, when Rose and her family, sees and comes towards us.
"Bella!" Waving her hand, Rose comes toward us with Riley in tow behind her. "We did it! Hell is officially OVER!" She laughs, and shakes her head at her own joke.
"Rosalie, ladies do not speak in such ways. As my future wife, I expect you to behave as the lady you were raised as," Riley chastised. That's one of the reasons why I didn't like Riley for Rose. He constantly puts her down, its like he is living in the 1930's with his ways.
"Oh, shut up Riley. This is my day, and it's 2015, I can say whatever the hell I want to say," she retorted. Rose never took any of the crap that Riley pushed on her. Honestly, I think that she stays with Riley because her parents want her to be with him.
Mrs. Hale leaned toward her daughter and whispered, "Rosalie, darling, Riley is right. Ladies don't speak in such ways." The highborn Hales never liked that their daughter became friends with Alice and I. They thought that we were not good enough to be around her because Charlie and Renee didn't frequent the country club often, and have hold chairs on City-Council like the rest of their friends. "Hale women are held to a certain standard," her husband silently shaking his head in agreement beside her.
Rose sighs and looks towards me, "Are we still going to party tonight? Heaven knows we didn't do it enough while in college." We all had plans to go to the local bar near campus to celebrate our new degrees. " Jasmine just told me that a new club just opened up and they are offering the graduates half priced drinks and VIP seating. We could get drunk off of our-"
"Rosalie! Not another word! I have told you that I disapprove of that language and I will not have you continue it!" We all look at Riley in shock at his outburst. "You will not be going out to night if you continue in this manner." He looks to Rose expectantly, assuming that she was going to agree with his decision. Rose glares back at him, her face turning a bright cherry red. If this was a cartoon, she would have steam coming out of her ears and he would be dead from her deadly gaze.
"You know what? Fuck you Riley! I am tired of you acting like you are my master and I am your servant that is here to serve and bend to your will. You talk if me being your future wife and we are just dating! I am not going to marry you! Hell, I don't even like you! I only dated you to get my parents off of my back. There is no way in hell would I marry an egotistical, annoying, self-centered, son of a bitch, prick like you!" She is huffing by the end of it.
"Rosalie!" cried her parents.
"No mom, dad. I am not going to continue to date this man. I get that you think that this would be a good match for me but I hate to tell you, it's not the 1830's. You don't have to 'make' a good match for me. I can find someone myself. I'm tired of entertaining all of the stuck up momma's boys that you keep throwing at me." At this point Alice has found our little group and asked what has happened.
I give her the recount of the last few moments, all the while Rose is arguing with her parents about her potential "future husband" Riley. "Honestly, I thought I thought it would have been sooner when Rose stood up to her parents," Alice whispered to me.
"What do you mean?"
"You know, all of those craptastic guys that she's been with the last few months. Robert, William, Mark, Joseph, and now Riley, those 'boyfriends' were with Rose because of her parents. She told me that one day, they've been trying to get her to find a husband." Alice explained to me. It makes since for that past times we went out and he brought along a new guy each time. Riley was just the one that lasted the longest.
"Ok everyone!" Renee shouts. The Hale family stops their argument and looks toward her. "This isn't the place to be having this conversation, for we are all gaining unwanted attention." Looking around, there were stares and whispers in our direction. Even though Renee and Charlie were not the average socialites, that were typical of New York, they were big names themselves. Before his diagnosis, Charlie was the Police Commissioner of New York City, and Renee was a highly sought after biologist, known for her advancements in microbiology and finding cures for diseases in third world countries. "Once we get back to our homes we can discuss the matter further, but right now is not the right time to discuss such delicate things."
Satisfied, she turns and embraces Alice, giving her, her congratulations. "I'm so proud of you!" she whispers in her ear. The hug that comes after produce a tear in Alice's eye that she quickly wipes away.
"Thanks momma." She smiles and hugs her back. Ever since Charlie found her on the doorstep of the police station, she has been Charlie and Renee's second daughter. There was nothing left with her in her basket expect for a note that gave her name, Mary Alice Brandon, and her birthdate. That was all that was known of the little babe in the basket that night. That was the day that I got a sister, even though I wasn't that much older than her at the time. We grew up as sisters, and once we met Rose, we added her into our bunch too.
"I'm proud of you as well, my little Pixie." Charlie holds out his arms for a hug, which Alice throws herself into. " I'm so proud of both of my little girls," he smiles and looks at us both, while patting each of our legs, " I am so glad that I got a chance to see this moment, for a while there I thought I would miss now have the world in front of you both, so knock them dead!"
"Thanks Daddy," we reply, both of us getting teary- eyed at his words. His words were true. For a while, we all thought Charlie would die before the end of our fall semester here at NYU- he caught pneumonia while he was in the hospital and it was really touch and go-, but somehow he overcame it and kept pushing through for us. He told us that he wasn't ready to leave us alone yet in this world, and he fought the pneumonia and won. "We love you daddy," Alice gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, as she wipes away the tears that have escaped from her eyes.
"Come on guys, let's go home now." Renee ushers us all to out of the door towards the parking lot. Rose and her family follow, still sulking from their argument from earlier. From the looks of it, Riley and Rose will not be together come this evening when we go out. Catching up to us, Rose tells us to be ready by seven this evening.
"Where are we going?" Alice wonders. "What do we need to wear? I have the perfect new dress that I bought from Macy's the other day that would be great for partying."
"We are going to this new place, it's called Aquarius." Rose replies.
"Like the sign?"
"The very one, we will get discounts tonight cause we graduated and we get VIP seating! It's going to be great!" She cheers. We say our goodbyes and head to our cars, going home to celebrate some more. As we drive by the stadium I cant help but feel as if something big is going to happen.
