Doctor and Amy: The Swimming Pool: Chapter 12
AN: I KNOW!
I KNOW IT HAS BEEN THREE YEARS SINCE I EVEN OPENED FANFICTION. AND I AM SORRY. I'M BACK NOW, FOR GOOD!
Chapter 12:
He smiled at the screen, watching the Doctor and his… Girlfriend? from the new security cameras the Doctor had just installed in the rooms. He'd forgotten to encrypt the transmissions, though, and here they were, right in front of the Master's sinister eyes. He laughed lowly, twirling his big, thick mustache around his finger and licking his lips as he looked at Amelia's swollen tummy.
"I think I found my revenge" He snarled, before breaking into a maniacal laugh.
River sat inside her cell, her eyes transfixed on a random corner of the ceiling as she thought back to what had happened earlier.
She'd killed a pregnant woman. Two lives had been wasted at her hands because of a ridiculously irrational impulse she had. She stared down at her hands.
If the doctor hadn't been happy with her, she should have understood.
Why would he be, anyways? She was away at jail all the time, and would claim his life in the future anyways.
She didn't have to take away his happiness. The doctor deserved more than everybody to be happy and comfortable for as long as he could be.
But it really was too late. She'd killed him before actually killing him.
Maybe this made it a quadruple kill.
She took her face in her hands and heaved gigantic sobs until she fell asleep.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE'S IN JAIL?" Rory bellowed at a Dalek, which let out a series of confused sounding beeps before answering "Affirmative. River Song is in jail."
Rory gave the Dalek a nasty look and turned to the window behind him.
Did he really have to do this to Amy? Amy, his true love and his soulmate? The girl he waited for?
All he had ever wanted in his life was to see her happy, safe and sound. She was all of that before he took it all away from her.
Before he killed her.
He remembered giving River the Amerysk larvae before she left, asking her to make sure Amy was dead. What was he thinking, how could he have been so heartless?
Amy had been pregnant. He claimed the life of an unborn baby with the life of his true love. An unborn time lord baby. What had he done?
He leaned his head against the window, trying to cool his mind from the unrelenting fire burning in his mind.
But it WAS understandable, wasn't it? He had been CHEATED ON. With one of his closest friends! But did he really have the right to prevent Amelia from being happy?
Did he have the right to kill her because of his own anger? What gave him the right to judge that she and the baby had to die? He wasn't God…
He turned back to the Dalek standing behind him, and asked it to steer the ship into hyper drive, back on Earth, with tears in his eyes.
Amy watched in horror as her stomach moved and bulged before her very eyes, as if little fists were threatening to poke holes right through her stomach. She looked at the Doctor, who was seated on the corner of the bed with her hand in his, grinning ear to ear.
"In Gallifrey, we called babies like this-" he made a sound which sounded like a cough, a sneeze and a moan at the same time.
"What's that in English?" Amy asked pointedly.
"Squid, it's like they have many restless limbs." He replied, staring down at the floor. It had pained him to remember Gallifrey.
Amy held his hand in both of hers and smiled up at him.
This was perfection. It was bliss and oblivion, the three of them together, with nothing to worry about or be upset about.
Or so they thought..
