I stayed with the Cullens for the rest of the night, but our first night with the babies was not easy. I kept getting up anytime one of them cried. Normally babies have a distinct cry, but these fake ones were all the same. I would wake up to crying coming from another room and immediately go to see if it was little E—as I had begun calling him in my head knowing Edward would not care for the nickname as he hated it when someone gave him one. By morning, I swear I resembled the vampires from the shadows under my eyes.

"Where are Emmett and Rosalie? I haven't seen them since last night?" I asked Edward as I ate my breakfast and he fed our little screamer.

Jasper and Alice were next to us also feeding little Mary Elizabeth.

"They wanted to go on a hunting trip. There's a bit of a bear problem going on near Mount Rushmore and Emmett was eager to go help out. Rosalie just decided to get out of the house for a while." Edward replied, but I caught his too innocent features, he was lying.

I frowned at his answer silently telling him that I didn't believe him. Still, I didn't verbally say anything because I did understand. Seeing Alice and I pregnant was painful enough, but seeing us with real-ish babies would kill Rosalie—again. I would have to make sure there was no evidence of this assignment left when it was done.

"But, Emmett did like your plan for Mike and requests that we take pictures for his collection." Edward continued.

"He has a collection?"

"Since the first time he was able to attend school, I'm sure he'll allow you to see it one of these days."

"Sweet, oh, we better get to school." As soon as I said it, the vampires had finished feeding the babies and ushered them into the garage. I grabbed my bad and followed them eager to know what they were up to.

Turns out, they loaded the babies into the trunk of Edward's Volvo. I let it go, but warned them that we would need the babies for when we went to Health Class. They didn't like that at all, but I then reminded them that they needed to act human and this is what human teenagers needed to deal with…the homework, not actually taking care of real children, hopefully.

I took a look at our folder to see if there were any special directions for what to do with the babies while we were in class, but there was nothing.

"Oh yay," Alice bounced in the back seat as we parked.

"Thank goodness." Edward added.

Jasper and I just looked at the two annoyed to be left out.

"Mrs. Hatchet is going to get a verbal lashing today after school from all the teachers about the fake babies disturbing their lessons. The principle won't be very happy and is going to demand that she revoke the assignment and stick to book work until a better plan can be revised."

"Oh, but that means we won't have much time to spend with our bundles of joy." I said hamming it up a bit.

Alice gave me a dirty look, but then smiled when I laughed.

"Oh, and Charlie will be released from the hospital in a few days. His doctor will call you in tonight since Carlisle will be working a double shift tonight, and I need to call Emmett about getting back early to help with that revenge scheme you have brewing, my dear" Alice pulled out her phone and was talking into it as soon as she finished talking to me.

"Jasper, keep a look out while we get the babies." I told him as we got out of the car.

"Bella, it isn't necessary." Edward tried to talk me out of it at the trunk.

"Yes it is. Someone could suspect that we knew this was going to happen." I explained grabbing both babies giving him ours and Jasper his.

I fixed my backpack to my back and told Edward to put our little one in. He complied.

As we walked through the parking lot, I spied many other students with their babies and it was not quiet. I could also tell that many had not slept well the night before.

"I'll take that bet." I heard Edward mutter to Jasper.

"What?" I asked for clarification.

"It's just something we predicted, all the other students are thinking the same thing." He answered.

"So if everyone else decided to throw themselves off a cliff would you do it?" I pointed out.

His face dropped and I realized my mistake a second too late. Thankfully, he didn't say anything instead wrapping his arm around my waist and guiding me into the school.

I had Little E for the morning as our agreement, the little, plastic guy was asleep until about halfway through my second period. We had a pop quiz in that hour, so I pulled him out to rock as I completed the worksheet. Though I did blush because of the looks I got from my fellow classmates. By lunch time, I couldn't do anything to keep my little one quiet, I even took him to the bathroom to change him, but there was nothing except for a line of other mothers to do the same thing. I did notice, from talking to the other girls, that the dolls were faulty. I had not changed a dirty diaper all yesterday or last night and neither had they. This could not be good.

And it wasn't.

As lunch rolled around there were various screams from a few of the students in the lunchroom about their babies flooding their pants.

"Oh, Bella, I like that idea better than your first one."

"What?" I asked Alice as we watched another couple run out of the room soaked in water.

"Your revenge plan, it just changed." She looked at me like I grew a second head.

I was confused until I looked at yet another mother running out and then I caught up.

"Will there be enough, Alice?" I asked her quietly so the next table could not hear me.

"Yes, but we can't do it until tomorrow night when all the babies are given back and we'll have to feed each one until they are full to burst in order for the timing to be right."

"We can spare a few for later, right?"

She looked into the future then nodded her head. The guys came up to us just as we finished our little chat both sporting knowing grins. They were on board.

"Emmett will say his in, but I don't know about Rosalie, she hasn't decided."

"Let her know she doesn't have to do this. I don't want anyone else involved in case we get in trouble."

"Bella, Bella, Bella, no one will suspect us. Mike will suspect Tyler and a few others, but not us, so don't worry about it."

"Ok," I agreed then took a bite out of my sandwich, but only one because the babies started up again.

Alice got a panic look on her face then she and Edward took the babies and dashed off.

"You know, I thought this project would bring out the best of child rearing, but it's turned into a nightmare." I was surprised that Jasper spoke his opinion. Normally he would stay quiet unless someone asked him directly.

"Yeah," I agreed.

I watched as he broke up his chicken salad sandwich as I ate mine. He surprised me by speaking up again.

"Did you ever think of becoming a mother, Bella?" He asked me.

I chewed my bite then looked over my shoulder at the door. Jasper chuckled which brought my attention back to him.

"Don't worry, I've blocked him out and he can't hear what we're saying from anyone else." He assured me.

I finished my bite then swallowed trying to organize my thoughts.

"I guess I never thought about kids. My mom always drilled into my head career first, then marriage, then children after thirty; but with Edward her plan sort of fell apart."

"Hers not yours," He guessed.

"Yeah, I don't think I really thought about my future except it can't be without Edward."

"Alice keeps saying that you've made your decision and that you're willing to live with it."

"You saw what our…separation nearly did to us. Of course, I had Jacob, but I don't know if that would have changed anything. I love Edward too much, and it wouldn't have been fair for Jacob in the end."

Jasper nodded his head agreeing with me. Then his eyes shot up to the door, Edward and Alice appeared a few seconds later. I trusted Jasper when he said that Edward wouldn't hear this for if he did, it would be a long battle between us.

Speaking of my vampire sweetheart, he and Alice did not look happy, but they came back with our babies and glum faces all the same. It turned out that there was a line in all the bathrooms in the school, so they were forced to go out into the surrounding forest to clean up the dolls.

For the next class, Mrs. Hatchet tried to do a mock of a mommy and baby class, but no one was cooperating including the babies, so she stopped and allowed us to have free time after giving us a chapter in the book to read. I doubt anyone would do it just to spite her for giving us this demonic assignment. By now I was even fighting the drowsiness from lack of sleep. Edward tried to let me catch a few winks on his shoulder, but with the noise in the room—and the school—there was no way.

In gym, it was a nightmare and people were being extra rough because of their frustrations for the health assignment, no doubt. And I got to be goalie…oh joy. Needless to say, I will be covered in bruises tonight. I latched onto Edward as soon as I saw him. Before either of us could say a thing, the principle's voice sounded over the intercom.

"Students who are partaking in Mrs. Hatchet's parenting assignment please bring the dolls and all the accessories to her room immediately. That is all."

I would be jumping up and down with the rest of the school had my classmates not wounded me.

"Bella, love," Edward nudged my shoulder then grimaced when I winced. "Mrs. Hatchet's class is on our way to the parking lot, do you think you can make it."

"Yes," I replied too tired to explain. There was a cast iron tub at the Cullens that I swear was calling me.

In the health room, Mrs. Hatchet was organized with lines directing students to put baby supplies, folders, marriage rings—but a few were hanging onto theirs—into boxes. The dolls were laid into tubs, I'm assuming just in case the diaper overflowed.

I helped Edward fill out the card and the required info on the folders before we put our baby into the tub along with our card. Mrs. Hatchet's latest stupid idea was to make cards and slipped them onto the feet of our babies as if they were in morgues. The woman does not think things through, I swear.

"It looks like we can complete our mission tonight, Alice." I said trying to sound more enthusiastic than I felt.

We were in the car heading home, and if I could, I would be bouncing in my seat with excitement.

"Can I make a suggestion, Bella?" Alice asked.

"Yeah, of course,"

"I would like to add another name to our victim list." You didn't need to be her to figure out what she meant by that.
