Saying Cody was conflicted would be the largest understatement of the many lifetimes he was sure to live through before fate decided to take him out.

Of course, the source of him confliction was the same source of countless other men, not to mention an untouchable and certainly awkward source. She'd had many names in her long lifetime, but the one she used now was Georgina Kincaid. It was the only name he had ever known her to carry.

She was untouchable. To humans, she was untouchable due to the literal damning affect her lingering touch could have on them. To him and every other supernatural being, she was untouchable due to her emotional distress and wishes to be left alone despite her usually social exterior.

It was awkward not only because he was a vampire of many decades, though still young in vampire years and certainly compared to her, but because he was her friend. One of her best friends. She definitely didn't have many of those.

Unfortunately for him, every graceful move of her long legs, every sensual gaze of her eyes, every soft word spoken by her made him only fall deeper and deeper in love with her. She had no idea what she was doing. If he were to voice his emotions to anyone, even Peter, he knew he would be told to grow up and that he was just struck by the only succubus he had ever had any sort of relations with. It was their job to make them feel something.

He knew. He knew what he felt was different. He knew it wasn't just because she was a skilled seductress. He had seen the other side of her. He had seen the caring, real Georgina. Her name was Letha and she was hurt.

He had no way to heal that hurt for her. In fact, to make matters worse, she had found herself under the affections of a demon child and human, both of whom she returned the affections for.

So no matter how much he knew, she would never know.

Just a quick, angsty piece because I've had a bad day and thought an angsty Cody would be interesting, though probably not as much as Peter. Please review!
