The members of the Host Club laid lazily around Haruhi's apartment. Honey-Senpai was loading spoonfuls of sugar into a cup of tea.

Mori stopped his hand. "Try it." He said.

So the shorter boy tilted back his head and slurped some tea. "You're right Mori! It is really sweet!"

Suddenly Kaoru jolted upright. "P-please excuse me!" He then made a dash for the restroom.

Kyoya hmpt and made a small note in his book.

Then Hikaru sat upright. "Uh-oh!" He made his way to the other bathroom.

Kaoru walked back in first. "Haha..I guess I ate something bad."

His brother was back moments later. "Yeah me too."

"My hunch was correct." Kyoya said quietly closing his notebook. It was a small action, but it got the others attention.

"What hunch Kyoya?" Haruhi asked.

"When I first met the Hitachiin brothers their synchronization intrigued me. So over the years I've logged their reaction times. I'd noticed a greater lag and variation in reactions. Today I placed a laxative in each of their instant coffees."

Hikaru immediately stepped towards him angrily. "What's the big idea!?" Then he seemed to notice his brother was still standing in the doorway.

Kaoru's hair shadowed his eyes. "What was the gap?"

His brothers jaw dropped. "T-that doesn't matter!"

Kyoya wrote something in his notebook and then snapped it shut. "Thirty-five seconds."

"So what!" Hikaru cried sounding slightly more upset than angry.

A breeze rolled through an open window curling Kaoru's hair from his hollow looking eyes. "I can feel it brother. We're drifting apart."

"No! We're not!" Hikaru said with his eyes clenched shut. "Don't ever say that!" He took off past his brother clipping his shoulder on the way out.

"It's true." Kaoru whispered softly as he was pushed back.

For a moment everyone was silent. Only Kyoya made a sound as he wrote notes in his book.

Then softly Kaoru whispered his brothers name. "...Hikaru." Then he spoke it. "Hikaru." Then he called after his brother. "Hikaru!" He ran off in the direction his brother had.

The other club members stood shocked for another moment before they followed their friends calling for them.

As Mori and Honey-Senpai were running after them Mori stopped at the door and asked, "Are you coming?" In his usual short way, but after years of knowing him closely Honey stopped. He detected an edge in Mori's voice.

Kyoya stopped and placed his pen down between the pages he'd been writing on. "Yes."

While they continued after the Hitachiin twins Mori lifted Honey onto his shoulders.

Softly Honey asked, "Are you mad at Kyoya?"

"Yes." Mori replied simply.

Outside the apartment Haruhi placed a hand on Mori and Tamaki's telling them not to go further. Ahead the two brothers were in eachothers arms crying and apologizing profusely.

Kyoya continued towards them despite Haruhi urging him not to. He tapped one of the brothers shoulder.

They both looked up.

"I was wrong."

Hikaru immediately went on the defensive. "Is that supposed to be an apology!?"

Kaoru held him back by the shoulder. A mischievous smile crossed his face dancing in his eyes. "Wait brother. We'll get him back later."

Sweat rolled down the back of Kyoya's head. Hitachiin revenge was legendary.
