A/N: Yes. I haven't updated in about 2 years. lol. It's cause of all the school work then I basically forgot about this. But I got this chapter written a while ago(about a year ago) but never finished it so, here it is. I can't apologize more for the extremely long wait. I'm so so so so so sorry. I've been getting into kpop to the level of obsession recently so I have written fanfic for my biases on another site. So I might be a bit slow on updates but I promise I've gotten into writing fanfics so much that I would try my best to write but school work is WAY too OVERWHELMING thus slow updates. Chapter 3: Presence and Encounterance part 1

Oz's POV

"ELLIOT! HOW CAN YOU?! I HAVEN'T READ THAT BOOK YET! HOW CAN YOU JUST SPOIL IT FOR ME?!"

"SHUT UP! ITS YOUR FAULT FOR NOT READING IT EARLIER!"

"HOW IS IT MY FAULT?!"

"I SAID TO SHUT YOUR TRAP!"

"Sigh…..Can't you both be quiet? This is a library. Please don't forget your common courtesy."

As always….. Elliot and I continued to fight aimlessly. And~, of course Leo and Ada was there to try to stop us.

Today, Ada had to help the teachers with things and so there was only the three of us.

It's been three days since I began to attend Lutwidge Academy.

"AH!" I exclaimed as memories of my forgotten duty flowed back into my mind

"What now….?" Elliot groaned

"I left the book I needed to return in my room. I'll go get it"

"I see. We'll wait here." Leo looked up to me, as he sat on the floor as always.

"Who's we? I never said I'll be waiting for that idiot." Elliot replied with a foul-mouth

"Elliot…." Leo stared at him with a stare conveying 'don't you be so rude'.

Trying to ignore the stare, Elliot turned to avoid it. "Hmph."

"'kay then. I'll be going"

"Of course"

I unlocked the door and entered my room.

"The book, the book"

I skimmed around my room and that's when i spotted an unfamiliar letter sitting on my desk.

I approached it and in front of the envelope was my name. Under it was the name "the clown". I opened it, taking out the letter. It read:

Dear Oz-kun,

How's school? Are you making any friends?

Oh how heartbreaking it is if you haven't

It's okay. You still have your family there.

How's your sister, Ada-sama?

Have you met your dear friend of the Nightray family?

You must getting along well with Elliot Nightray, am I right?

It must be tough with him around though~

Oh! How it saddens me to interrupt your youthful moment

but have you sensed anything unusual?

Like a strange presence?

Well if you do, Oz-kun, inform me as soon as possible

Anyways~...Enjoy your time there~

From you know who~

Sigh. It must be Break. Who else would write in such teasing way? But a strange presence huh? Is he referring to a presence of a chain?

I took out my stationeries and began to write a response. 'So nice of you to worry about me. I'm not an outcast. I do talk to classmates and it's only the third day here. Ada is doing great with academics and everything. I'm getting along with Elliot nicely. And I don't sense anything'. I paused. That voice…..What was it? Does that count?

For a split second, a feeling of someone outside my window came to me. But this is the third floor of the dorm building. Could they have climbed the tree? But who?

I stood up from the chair and looked out the window. Once again there was no one on the tree or nearby.

As curious as I was it was rude to make others wait, so I grabbed the book and headed to the library. Who could it be?

"-nii-chan, ONII-CHAN!"

I broke my train of thought. "O-oh! Ada? Whats wrong?"

"Onii-chan...lately you've been zoning out a lot. Is something the matter?"

My eye twitched. I didn't want to make Ada worried or involved, so i kept it to myself.

"No….not at all" i laughed "just a bit tired…."

"I see. Then you should get some rest."

"Yeah…." I turned away from her and got caught up in my own thoughts again. Who could it be? There is a certain presence. A Chain? No that's not it, or I believe so. It's slightly different. But then what? Should I report this to Break? No I should find out what is out there before i do….

"Sigh….." My thoughts are all over the place. I'm, now, really tired.

Ada had a worried expression. "Onii-chan?"

"Ada…..I think I'll go back into my room and take a rest…"

"Yes. Do so…." She continued to look at me worriedly as I left.

I entered my room and collapsed onto my bed.

Sigh…..So tired….So...tired…

And everything blacked out…...

Huh? A song? Where is it coming from? So nostalgic…Who's singing…..Such a beautiful voice….

I slowly regained consciousness and opened my eyes. The late afternoon sunlight stung my eyes. I squinted, adjusting to the brightness. I slowly sat up and held my head.

"Ugh….I fell asleep….I must've been tired."

I have been worried over the same thing over the past few days. It's been a week since I first came here. But I haven't gotten my answer yet.

"I should go for a walk…"

I walked around the school alone. I don't hear the voice. Sigh.

When I reopened my eyes, I spotted a familiar figure.

"No way….." I doubted my thought. He shouldn't be here. Am I hallucinating? "Hahaha. I must've been really tired these days, now i'm even seeing things"

But curiosity gets the better of me as usual. I guess i'll just check in case…..

I approached the figure and gasped.

"N-N-N-NO WAY!" I couldn't believe my eyes. "GIL?!"

"O-OZ!" He freaked out. "S-Shhh!"

I stood there stunned and confused. However, i knew, deep down I was sort of happy to see him

"A~ah. I guess we were found." Suddenly Break pops out from the tree close by.

"Break! Why are you guys here?"

"To complete a mysterious job" He winked.
