That afternoon all the girls were running around the cottage bringing things to Annaliece and Elonwye brushes her hair and another girl puts flowers in it as they get her ready for her date with Legolas. Meanwhile Legolas walks through the woods with the boys teaching them some new hunting techniques. "You're so lucky Annie!" Elonwye says cheerfully as she gives a small daisy to the other girl to braid into her hair. "I wish I could go on a date with a handsome prince someday…" Elonwye looks sad and Annaliece draws her onto her lap.

"First of all I don't really think of it as a date… I just think of it as me and Legolas hanging out as friends." Annaliece explains and all the girls let out a cry of disappointment and she rolls her eyes. "And second I know that someday you'll meet a great guy who will love you forever I know it." Annaliece hugs Elonwye and kisses her forehead.

"Are you sure?" Elonwye urges.

"I'm sure." Annaliece promises.

"You're really lucky Annie." Elonwye says happily "You really will get to be with Legolas forever because elves only fall in love once so you and Legolas will love each other forever." She looks at Annaliece with dreamy eyes. Annaliece smiles at Elonwye. "You do love him don't you?" Elonwye presses on Annaliece and all the other girls stare at Annaliece waiting for her answer.

"I…suppose I do…"Annaliece admits smiling remembering all the looks of love he had given her and their magical kiss on the cheek and the way he treated her so kindly that no one not even Thorin had ever treated her. He was her soul mate and there was no doubt about that. Annaliece starts thinking more about a relationship with him while the girls get her ready.

Meanwhile Legolas ventured deep into the woods with the boys to teach them proper hunting techniques. They were quite a handful as Legolas had expected and he questioned how he somehow managed to keep them under control. He knew Annaliece wouldn't be happy if he lost any of them even though he wouldn't really mind so much. He loved the kids and all and he would never want any harm to come to them. He would rather leave them somewhere safe with their families. The kids said that their parents were going to meet them in the village nearby but Legolas didn't know if they would. Most likely not considering that they let their children flee. If they were sure they would survive they would have let them stay. But also they could've let them flee for safety just to make sure they would be safe during the attack. It could go either way and Legolas hoped that the kids parents would be alive. He wanted them to be happy with their real families and he wanted to be alone with Annaliece. He had been a little jealous of all the time she had been spending with the kids. He thought the point of being lost in the woods with her would allow them to spend every single moment with each other and he would win Annaliece's heart, not getting swarmed by lost children and taking care of them. But it had worked in helping him score a date with Annaliece so he liked the children for that. He stopped dead in his tracks as he looked at the sky and realized the sun was setting low and it was just starting to get dark and he had to get back to the cottage and get ready for the date and he probably just had enough time to get back and he looked down and realized what a mess he was and that there was no way he could take Annaliece out looking like this and he started to run back to the cottage with the boys following close behind.

"Why are we running?" Aiden whines struggling to keep up with Legolas and one of the other boys picks him up and carries him and they call for Legolas to slow down and he stops reluctantly and looks back at the boys.

Legolas answers Aiden "We need to get back to the cottage!" he starts running again

"Why?" Aiden shouts back.

"So I don't miss my date with Annie!" Legolas shouts after him and continues to run and all the boys remember that they have a date tonight and whistle at Legolas as he runs off and they follow him close behind. Legolas continues to run towards the house then it start to get even darker and Legolas kicks the leaves angrily and sits down on a rock knowing he'd never make it back to the cottage to get ready in time. The other boys show up and Aiden squirms out of the other boy's arms and sits next to Legolas.

"Why aren't you heading back to the cottage?" Aiden asks him

"Because there's no way I'll make it in time." Legolas looks sad at the ground.

"We could still make it." Aiden argues

"Yeah but I need to get ready." Legolas retorts

"You're a guy how much getting ready do you need to do." Aiden argues.

Legolas chuckles and smiles at him "Well for one thing I stink."

Aiden sniffs him and pretends to choke "Yeah I definitely wouldn't want to smell that all night." He fake gags on the ground and Legolas chuckles softly at him.

"And my hair's a mess and I have to change clothes to take her out." Legolas points out and sighs feeling sad that he would miss his date with her then Aiden tugs on his pants excitedly. "What is it Aiden?" Legolas asks glumly.

"We can still get you ready for Annie in time for your date!" Aiden exclaims excitedly as he gets an idea.

"How?" Legolas starts to get hopeful

"You have clothes on under your hunting outfit that could work!" Aiden points out.

Another boy walks over to a bush "We could rub these on you to get rid of your odor." He suggests.

"And your hair already looks perfect to me." Aiden tells Legolas "I don't know what you're complaining about."

Legolas smiles at Aiden and messes up his hair "Thank you." He starts taking off his hunting clothes and a boy brings over the herbs to mask his smell and Legolas takes them and starts rubbing it all over himself. "How do I smell?" He asks and one of the boys sniffs him.

"You're irresistible." The boy gives the ok and they walk briskly over to the cottage about half an hour after night falls.

Annaliece waits in the living area of the cottage on the couch in front of the fire in her forest green gown waiting for her prince to come. "I'm sure he can't be that much longer." Elonwye assures her though she and all the other girls are starting to have doubts themselves and Elonwye looks out over the dark forest and Annaliece comes over and looks and starts to get worried.

"What if something happened to them." Annaliece shudders at the thought.

"Don't worry." Elonwye hugs her leg "I'm sure he'll be here any minute." At that moment they hear a knock at the door and one of the girls looks out the window and sees Legolas and the boys and gasps.

"Your prince is here for you." She says happily and Annaliece goes to the door and opens it

Legolas stands at the door with a charming smile "I'm here for a beautiful…" he sees how pretty Annaliece looks and his jaw drops and he forgets the rest of his line and Annaliece giggles

"You look pretty amazing too." Annaliece smiles and her hand slides into his and Legolas's heart starts beating faster and he gets flustered not knowing what to say next then he feels a boy shove the bouquet of flowers into his hand behind his back and he holds them out to Annaliece.

"My fair princess." Legolas bows and hands the flowers to Annaliece.

"Lilacs! My favorite…" Annaliece smiles and hugs Legolas and Legolas hugs her back and smells her hair

"You look beautiful tonight." He comments as she slowly pulls out of his embrace and faces him "But you look lovely all the time so it's really not much of a change."

Annaliece blushes at his compliment and smiles at the ground "Thank you…" she feels him take her hand and kiss it and he leads her away from the cottage and she smiles and follows him. "So where are we going to spend the evening?" She asks blushing

"It's a surprise." Legolas whispers in her ear and covers her eyes and walks her into the woods. She nearly trips 5 times and Legolas catches her then he scoops her up in his arms and carries her and Annaliece looks into his eyes and Legolas starts to lean in for a kiss and Annaliece feels his warm breath on her lips then hears a twig snap and turns away and sees a squirrel hopping off into the woods and she turns to smile at Legolas "close your eyes." He whispers into her ear and he carries her into a clearing and sets her down in a groove between two tree roots. "Now you can open them." Legolas smiles and watches Annaliece's eyes widen and she smiles brightly and her eyes sparkle.

"It's beautiful…" Annaliece breathes and smiles at the decorated trees and she gasps at the buffet in front of her with all her favorite foods. "How did you…" she starts then Legolas stands her up and holds her hands and kisses one of them

"My Lady…" he breathes and stares into her eyes and leads her over to the buffet. "You may have anything you want." He smiles and his blue eyes glint with love.

Annaliece smiles and takes one of everything and Legolas's eyes widen in surprise "Well you must be hungry…" he chuckles and Annaliece swallows her gigantic bite of one of the pastries and smiles in agreement. Legolas picks up a bottle of wine and smiles and pours a glass. "Would you like some?" He asks charmingly as he offers her the glass he just poured and she smiles and takes it and he winks at her and she sips and smiles

"It tastes excellent." She comments. "Where did you get it?"

"From my father's secret vault." Legolas says and Annaliece looks confused.

"You went back to Mirkwood to get it?" She gives him a curious look.

"No I brought it with me." Legolas explains then sees the mistake he just made in giving away that information.

"So when you came to save me from a wild horse you brought a bottle of wine?" She laughs a little

"I was delivering it." He gives her a good lie.

She gives him a face that shows she doesn't believe him and she smirks "You knew we would get lost didn't you…and that we would go on a date?" She gets slightly angry.

Legolas starts to get nervous then he sighs and comes clean "Ok… I knew that we would probably get lost together in the woods." He admits "And I thought that if we were going to be alone together for some significant amount of time…that we would…you know…" he smirks and holds her hand and pulls her in close and Annaliece sees love in his eyes and understands what he was going for and she lightly kisses his cheek.

"I can't stay mad at you…" she smiles at him "I don't know why but I just can't…you're too sweet." She smiles and feels herself getting closer and Legolas closes his eyes and puckers his lips and then he feels his lips on a book and he looks at it weird. "What's this?" He chuckles and takes it.

"It's a book. My favorite one…" She smiles at him "I want you to read it."

"Why?" He chuckles and flips through the pages.

"Because you're my friend." Annaliece smiles at him and Legolas looks slightly upset at something she called him and she looks confused. "What's wrong?"

Legolas sees her concern but then he sees her love in her eyes and smiles again "Nothing. I just didn't think I would have to read a book this big." He examines the size and smiles and she giggles and sits down next to him by the tree.

"I think you can handle it." She says looking into his eyes and smiles and he smiles back and gets closer to her and strokes some of her hair out of her face.

"Ok." He breathes on her lips "But only because I-" before he finishes Annaliece runs over to Elonwye crying nearby and she wipes her tears and Legolas looks annoyed and hits the ground. Every time! He shouts in his head. He loved that Annaliece was so caring and kind but did Elonwye have to ruin the moment! He hears Annaliece's caring voice calm Elonwye and he falls even more in love with her. She's so sweet. She would make a great mother. He smiles at the thought and then thinks about having children with Annaliece. He finds himself staring at her body then Elonwye runs over to him and jumps on his lap and he looks at her surprised.

"Can you tell me a bedtime story?" She asks in an adorable voice.

Legolas looks shocked then Annaliece comes over and holds Legolas's arm. "I thought maybe you could tell her a story from when you were on the journey with the Fellowhip to take her mind off the nightmare she had." Annaliece explains and smiles at him.

"Well a story from my travels with the fellowship? I don't know… that's not exactly s child's tale." Legolas chuckles.

"Wasn't there something fun that you did?" Elonwye asks hopefully.

"Well there were a few times with my friend Gimli-" Legolas gets cut off again by Elonwye's excited shriek and Legolas cuddles her on his lap and Annaliece snuggles her head on Legolas's shoulder and Legolas smiles at Annaliece then cuddles Elonwye and she looks excitedly at Legolas and he smiles "Gimli is a very good friend of mine. We had many fun adventures together with Aragorn." Legolas knew that these adventures weren't exactly fun but he toned it down for Elonwye. "There was one time when we were standing at our posts at Helm's Deep waiting for the battle to start and Gimli couldn't see over the wall and he was jumping up and down to see so I offered to fetch hi a box." Legolas chuckles and Elonwye laughs and Annaliece giggles and snuggles a little closer to Legolas.

Legolas tells other stories like the time he had a drinking game with Gimli and that really made Elonwye crack up and just to impress Annaliece he told about the time he killed a giant Oliphaunt and Elonwye's jaw dropped and Annaliece looked very impressed. Then Elonwye stifled a yawn and she fell asleep in Legolas's arms and Annaliece smiles at her "Isn't she the cutest thing?" Annaliece looks up at Legolas and he cuddles Elonwye a little tighter.

"Yeah…" Legolas looks down at Annaliece "But you're just as sweet…and even more beautiful…" Legolas gets closer to Annaliece and her heart starts racing as she feels his warm breath on her face and she looks into his piercing blue gaze. "You're incredible… a work of art… a smart, cunning, strong, athletic, brave, courageous, happy, beautiful girl…"Legolas smiles at her and stares into her bright green eyes "With fantastic green eyes…that shine like the sun on new spring leaves…or like emerlads shining in the darkness of the mine bringing light into every dark corner. You bring me light, you bring me happiness, I love you…" his voice trails off as he leans into her lips and she leans close to his and this time their lips finally meet.

Annaliece closes her eyes and everything else slips away and Legolas pushes all thought of his father, and how they're getting home out of his mind and only leaves room for Annaliece's soft rosy lips because nothing else matters to him. She's all he's ever really wanted and now he finally has her. Annaliece didn't know what to think. She had never felt this way before. It felt amazing like magic and her heart leapt towards him and it would stay with him forever because elves only love once so she would love him forever and he would do the same for her. He finally releases her lips then smiles at her brightly "Wow…" He breathes and remembers Elonwye on his lap and he carefully removes her and then crawls on top of Annaliece and presses his lips to hers and kisses her more. Annaliece let him and she held his face to deepen the kiss. His strong arms held her tight but his lips were so soft and she closed her eyes and let the magic take over then when he releases her lips again she puts her finger to them to stop him and he kisses her finger then notices her pointing to Elonwye stirring in the piles of leaves and she slowly gets up from under Legolas and picks up Elonwye then Legolas quickly comes up behind her and holds her hips. "Where are we going?" He whispers in her ear and kisses it

"Putting Elonwye back to bed." Annaliece whispers back and gives him a quick kiss on his jawline and Legolas pouts thinking that this means their date was over and Annaliece carefully lays Elonwye back in her bed in the house and kisses her forehead then as she gets up and turns around she finds Legolas right behind her with a kiss for her and they kiss again and she smiles at him and puts her hands on his shoulders and finally says "I love you…"
