"Okay Titus has his playdate with Mason at 3 so don't forget to pick him up right at 2. Oh, and don't forget to drop off the box of streamers at Caroline and Stefan's for the party okay?"
Damon shook his head with a knowing smile as he walked into the kitchen pulling his sports jacket over his shoulders. "Yes, yes I know already Witchy, you marked it in my calander. Twice!"
Bonnie laughed, turning around to face Damon who was scarfing down his breakfast, reading the newspaper and making a cup of coffee at the same time.
"Well I'm sorry but sometimes you tend to forget the little details so I remind you; it's supposed to be a good thing, you know."
turning around with his cup of coffee-laced with bourbon-he knocked it back and placed it in the sink, then turning towards Bonnie who was presently rocking a sleepy 2month old baby girl in her arms, he grinned rougishly.
The sweet little bundle had a thick tuffed of hair-dark chocolate brown like Bonnies but when she peaked open her little eyes, it revealed a pair of striking cerulean blues that were searching for her daddy.
Damon put his hand on Bonnie's lower back and looked down lovingly at the angelic face of his daughter.
"She's been so sleepy all morning since waking up-but I just can't get her to go down for a nap; she just fights it." Bonnie spoke softly, shaking her head wonderingly as she gazed down into the face of her daughter.
"Yeah well she definitely doesn't like doing what she should or what she's told-that certainly reminds me of someone." Damon pinned Bonnie with a pointed look and a snarky grin.
The brunette rolled her eyes. "Oh please. And it looks like he's got your knack for getting into-trouble, Titus!" She eyed their three year old who was running around in circles, shrieking rambunctiously with the box of Capt'n crunch cereal above his head.
Damon reached out and grabbed the back of his son's shirt, collaring him gently. "Okay, okay that's enough with the Crunch, Mister." He put the box of cereal up which only caused his son to fall to the floor in the fetal possition and cry.
"Oh stop being so dramatic." He shook his head, bending over and picking up his weepy son, effortlessly.
"You know you're not supposed to be making a mess or giving your mom a hard time-that's my job." His eyes widened and he grinned mischeviously which elicited a toothy grin from his son who 'gently' smacked his father's face with both chubby little hands.
It had always been Titus' way of showing affection.
Damon grinned at him, ruffling his raven black hair and marveling at his sparkling jade green eyes that were the spitting image of his mother's.
"Go get your bag, we're leaving in five, scoot!" He set him back down and gave his tiny bottom a gentle spank and Titus was off with a happy squeal, both index fingers in his mouth as he chewed on them.
"I swear, he is SO much like you." Bonnie observed, coming to stand by Damon, shifting her sleeping daughter to a more comfortable angle in her arms.
"Yeah maybe so. But those eyes of his are definitely all you, Missie." He eyed her pointedly.
Her lips cracked into that beautiful warm smile that Damon fell in love with over and over again and she looked up at him with her warm, sparkling green eyes. "Well at least we know that means he's got your brawn and my brains."
Damon scoffed playfully. "As if I don't have just as much brains as I do brawn?!"
She rolled her eyes, tiptoed and silenced him with a firm kiss.
Damon's heart sped up-as it always did-and he felt the breath leave his lungs when her soft lips pressed firmer against his.
He moaned.
She pulled away, her eyes warming to that seductive stare that always ignited his body. "Maybe so, but we both know that when it comes to certain-arts of persuasion, I've got the drop on you. Any day of the week."
Damon leaned in, desperate to feel her lips again. "Oh you know I won't ever argue-especially when it comes to-that-"
Just then, Titus tugged on both his parents' and they pulled back reluctantly and gazed down at their innocent wide-eyed son.
"He's totally picking up on your moves." Bonnie couldn't hold back a comical giggle.
"Alright Mister, come here." Damon Swung Titus into his arms then grabbed his leather brief case and turned back to Bonnie. "I'll see you." He spoke huskily, letting the heat and longing seep into his eyes and voice.
Bonnie blushed. "You bet your ass you will." She offered a sweet smile.
Damon leaned in and kissed her one last time. "Bye. Bye, Princess." He whispered, leaning down and planting a soft kiss on his daughter's sleeping face.
"Kiss your mom, Mister."
"Aye, Mum." Titus hadn't gotten the 'B' sound down quite yet so it was always dropped off whenever he said 'Bye' and he'd always called Bonnie 'Mum' since the first day he'd said it; it always melted her heart. He planted a sweet-albeit wet-kiss on his mama's cheek and waved over his daddy's shoulder as they left the house.
Bonnie walked to the door and watched her husband and son until the car disappeared from the driveway and down the street."

Damon's eyes flashed open.
He blinked several times, bleary-eyed then slowly sat up in bed. Black satin sheets pooled around his bare waist as he scrubbed a hand over his face several times.
It was that dream again.
He'd been having bits and pieces of crazy dreams about him and Bonnie for the last month now.
He couldn't figure out where in the hell they'd even come from or why he was having them!
Not that he was complaining but they were leaving him more sleep-deprived and confused than he already was concerning the exotic brunette...being around her was starting to feel oddly familiar and strange all at the same time.
"That is the last time I let Stefan talk me into eating his weird popcorn concotions, after 10pm." The vampire stated outloud to himself, running both hands through his hair and then down his face, letting them fall to his lap.
Then, his cell rang.
He saw Bonnie's name flashing on the caller i.d. and his cerulean eyes lit up with a smile.
"Well I'm touched you decided to forego your usual distaste for the morning just to talk to me."
"Damon?"
The smile left his face instantly and he sat up in bed, now fully awake.
Bonnie's voice had a thick undertone of fear.
"What's going on, Witchy."
"...Someone's here...they're trying to get in. I don't know who it is...but I can tell it's...it's definitely a vampi-" Her sentence cut off.
There was a loud crash and the shattering of glass.
"Bonnie?!" Damon flew out of bed...not even bothering to put on a shirt and flashed out of the house barefooted.
He knew running to Bonnie's would be much faster than taking his car; it was daylight but he didn't care if anyone saw him running at super-natural top speed.
Someone was after Bonnie.
His Bonnie.
And he had to get to her now.
"Bonnie! Don't hang up."
Another crash was heard but this time it sounded like a table being overturned.
"Damon..." Her voice was low but he could tell she was terrified.
"How...how can they be in your house?!"
"I don't know...! it has to be someone I...invited in before but-"
"Oh Bonnie...stop playing games with me, Darling; I know you're here."
"Oh my god." Bonnie's blood ran cold.
"Who is that?!
"It's-It's Kol!" Bonnie gasped.
Damon's heart stopped. "That's impossible..."
"You know I can play this game all day, Bonnie...but that just means your death is going to be all that more painful when I find you!" Kol let out a curddling enraged scream.
"Damon..." Bonnie panted, she started to tremble.
"I'm here."
Just then, Bonnie heard a loud commotion downstairs. She heard Damon's voice and then a menaical laugh from Kol as he grabbed Damon around the neck and-from what it sounded like-threw him across the room and probably through a wall.
The thought of Kol killing Damon suddenly hit bonnie like a two ton brick wall and losing all of her previous fear, she burst out of her closet and made a mad dash down the stairs.
Coming to the living room, she found Kol standing over Damon with one of the wooden stairway spindles, ready to stake him.
"Crucifige eum!" She chanted which caused the make-shift stake to turn on Kol, impaling him in the side.
She thrust out her hand and made a vicious twisting motion, causing the stake to twist excrutiatingly and further into Kol's side.
He grimaced and fell to his knees.
Then Bonnie whispered a spell under her breath and sharp needles of pain began pricking Kol's spine, causing the Original to double over and fall on his back writhing in pain.
"Get. Out. Of my house."
"You'll-regret this-this isn't over-darling." Kol rasped out, his eyes flashing coldly.
In the next instant he was gone, leaving a gasping Damon calmoring to his feet and a very rattled Bonnie.
"Are you stupid? He could've hurt you!"
Bonnie shook her head. "I couldn't just let him hurt you, he could've killed you-"
"I had it handled, Witchy..." For the first time, he really looked at her and he noticed her trembling though she was trying to surpress it by wrapping her arms around herself.
Her brows were pulled together in a terrified line and her eyes flickered nervously from him to the floor.
"Hey..." He hurried over to her, taking her by the shoulders and turning her towards him.
"Are you okay, did he hurt you?!" He took her face in his hands, gently turning her head from side to side, looking for injuries.
"N-no, I'm fine-Damon, really." She took hold of his wrists, looking up into his crystaline eyes.
She'd never been so happy to see those beautiful eyes and the relief was evident as sudden tears pooled in her jade green orbs.
"Are you sure? Hey you're...you're crying..."
She shook her head but her hands tightened around his wrists and she looked deeply into his eyes. "I'm fine, really...I'm just...so glad to see you."
Her words caused Damon's pulse to quicken and his eyes widened marginally.
"Damn it, Bonnie..." He pulled her against his chest, unable to keep himself from pressing a kiss to her forehead as relief once again washed over him that she was safe.
Bonnie closed her eyes for a few moments, letting only a few tears fall as the relief of being safe in Damon's arms washed over her.
"Damon...you're shirtless." She was blushing now
Damon snorted. "Seriously?" he rolled his eyes when he caught the blush spreading to her cheeks.
She leaned back from him but her hands remained lightly resting against his chest. "Well I'm sorry but it's kind of hard not to notice when I'm...pressed right up against you!"
"Guess getting cozy with me is a bit much for you, huh?" He winked suggestively at her.
"god, Really?"
"You started it, I didn't." This time, he flashed his arrogant smirk but Bonnie couldn't be annoyed by it this time.
She was just so relieved that Damon had gotten there in time that right now, she'd take almost any of his less-than-charming behavior.
"Just shut it and get me outta here."
Damon put an arm around her and pulled her snuggly against his side.
"Don't worry, I got you."
He'd always be there to protect her.

In spite of Bonnie's incesant protesting, Damon insisted that they get the group together and fill everyone else in on what had happened.
Bonnie wasn't at all happy and glared at Damon for the full five minutes that he was on the phone with Stefan and the full ten minutes he spent on the phone trying to calm down a nearly-dilerious Caroline.
Soon, they all were conviened at the Grill and waited anxiously for Damon and Bonnie's arrival.
Damon walked in first...and instantly they could all tell that something was off.
Obviously he would be upset from the recent events but his pissed off level seemed on overdrive and the dark scowl on his face deepened when Bonnie came in behind him...her arms laden down with three dusty grimoires that she dropped on the table with a heavy thud.
"Okay, what's all this?" Caroline was the first to ask.
"Oh, this is what I like to call your best friend's millionth worst thought of idea!" Damon spit out, waving towards the grimoires that Bonnie was now leafing through.
"I don't get this, Bonnie? What on earth are you doing?!"
"Okay like Damon told you, it was Kol that attacked me."
"Yeah we got that but that still doesn't answer the 'impossible' question." Stefan added, leaning foward in his chair. "We all know that Jeremy killed Kol. He staked him and then his body was burned."
"I know." Bonnie answered.
Caroline stood up. "Wait I-wait I was there and...I covered Kol's body with a blanket myself but...I don't really...I don't remember actually seeing his body after Klaus got out..." She trailed off, looking around at all the faces of her friends and then back to Bonnie.
The brunette's expression was grim.
"So are you saying that Klaus...took Kol's body and...reincarnated him somehow?!" Elena asked disblievingly.
"To be honest, I don't know; the whole reincarnation theory sounds really crazy to me but I found this spell in one of my mother's grimoires; she left a few for Grams to give to me...I guess when she wanted me to have them when she thought I'd be...ready for the whole witch thing."
Bonnie flipped open to a page that had ancient inscription and latin text written below a crude drawing of a body that looked like it had been incinerated, within a pentagram.
"So this is what is called a Restoration spell. Basically, you take the corpse of someone that has just passed into the other side and using certain ingredients the make up the human body-along with personal affects of the deceased-some witches have been known to be able to...call back their souls from the other side and restore them to their former bodies."
"What are you saying, that someone withchy-voodooed Kol back from the dead?!"
Bonnie looked over at Damon who was frowning skeptically. "That's what this spell says Damon but honestly, I don't know of anyone that's ever done it and I've heard Grams talk about things like this...she always said it's impossible. But even if someone did try...this kind of magic is...it's dangerous; it's dark magic and witches of Nature like, Me, Grams, Abbie and even Klaus' mother, Esther are forbidden from using it. It'd be crazy to even try, Grams told me it's like striking a deal with the Devil and that's...something you don't come back from." Her eyes darkened and she closed the grimoire, laying it aside on the table.
"All I know is, I saw Kol and so did Damon. I don't know how or why but it was him. And obviously him being here is...it's impossible but...we can't worry about that now, right now we need to focus on what we do understand and what we can prove. If Kol is here then that means Klaus isn't far behind him...with our luck, he's already here and we need to be ready for anything because the last time Klaus was here? It almost got us killed."
She finished solemnly, looking around at her companions. "I know this...isn't what any of you want to hear and believe me, i don't either but...regardless, if Klaus is back...then we need a plan."
"Whoa, whoa, just hold on a second, we don't even know if that really was Kol or just some...creepy witchy illusion, who knows. We can't just go running off and making assumptions that all of a sudden Klaus is back!"
"I understand that Kol being here could be a trick, Damon but that still doesn't change the fact that we've got to be prepared."
"Well what the hell would Klaus even be doing here? the last time he was here, it was because Elena's the doppleganger and he wanted her blood for his freakshow wolf army but that's not a factor because-as we all know-Elena's a vampire which means poof! No mystical doppleganger blood." A Snarky grin spread across his lips.
Bonnie rolled her eyes, taking up another grimoire and letting it fall open on the table. "Look, I'm not saying that he's back here at all, what I am saying is there is a possibility that he is and we. Need. A plan!" Bonnie started leafing through her grimoire, only to be stopped when Damon angrily slammed his hand on the book, causing it to slam shut.
"You know, every time you've said 'we need a plan' Judgey, I'm pretty sure it's always eneded up only two ways: A. You giving yourself up to the bad guy to save everyone else, or B. You, killing yourself to save everyone else-oh wait-that's the same thing!" He mock gasped and then ripped the grimoire out of Bonnie's hands, the scowl returning to his face.
"Not gonna happen."
"Damon, if Bonnie says she's got a plan then maybe we should listen-"
"It's out of the question, Stefan." Damon's voice rose in irritation.
"Hey, I'm the one that was attacked here, Damon so don't tell me we're just gonna sit by and not do anything! I-"
"Oh, oh no we are going to do something trust me, Judgey...it's just not gonna include...you." He made a popping sound with his lips as he pointed at her and then turned his back, grabbing up the rest of the grimoires and tossing them at Stefan. "Com'on Stefan, you're coming with me, we're on grimoire burning duty."
"What? Where in the hell do you think you're going, Damon?!" Bonnie yelled at his back.
Stefan raised his brows but followed behind his brother wordlessly.
"Well since we've all unanimously agreed that your plans officially suck, I'm taking it from here. Caroline, take her home."
"Excuse me?!" Bonnie exclaimed angrily. "This is ridiculous and it's also so not happening, Damon; give me back my grimoires, we don't have time for this!"
Damon was growing extremely irritated, not to mention he was still pissed and fuming from what happened earlier. However, he calmly turned around and forced a complacent smile on his face. "You know what? Change of plans. Stefan, you're on grimoire burning duty, I'm taking Witchy home." He tossed the heavy book to Stefan on his way over to Bonnie.
"But you just said I was taking Bonnie home?" Caroline looked between him and Bonnie, bewildered.
Damon threw Bonnie's leather jacket over her shoulders and eyed Caroline skeptically over his shoulder. "Well I just unvolunteered you; frankly I don't trust you when it comes to keeping Bonnie from going out and Martyring herself."
At this, Caroline scoffed and glared at Damon but the blue eyed vampire just ignored her.
"I'm not leaving, Damon." Bonnie bit back. Crossing her arms and planting her feet stubbournly in the middle of the grill.
Damon's patience was wearing thin fast and he turned on the petite brunette, leveling her with a dangerous ice blue glare. "Get your ass into that car, Bennett or I swear to God, I won't hesitate to toss you over my shoulder right now and throw you in myself." His voice was very tense and his eyes flashed dangerously as if he was daring her to do it.
Bonnie knew that look but this was the first time it had been aimed at her.
"Now I know what Elena felt like." She almost smiled at the thought but the angry glare from Damon made her think better of it.
"Fine." Even though she'd finally relented, Bonnie was still pissed off and she wasn't gonna go quietly. If Damon was gonna play dirty, fine but he better brace himself because she was gonna be a royal pain in the ass. She whipped around and stalked off out of the grill, to Damon's car.
Damon watched her go and once he was satisfied seeing her safely in the passanger seat, he turned back to Stefan, Caroline and Elena. "Okay I'm taking her home but only so she can pick up whatever she needs and then we're heading back to the boarding house. Caroline, get ahold of your mom and see if she's seen or heard anything that might indicate that Klaus and his crazy sibs are back in town. Stefan, you know what to do and Elena, go with Caroline just in case she needs back up. Someone nasty is bound to pop up the minute we start sniffing around."
The girls nodded and left, leaving Damon and Stefan walking out to the parking lot. Once Stefan had dispensed Bonnie's grimoires in back of his car, he turned to Damon. "You know you're really pushing Bonnie's limits by keeping her from collaborating, you know that right?"
"You really think I care about 'pushing her buttons' Stefan? I do it all the time! I don't give a shit if she's pissed right now, what matters is keeping her from killing herself like she's always so ready to do and if that means I have to lock her up or...chain her up, then so be it!"
Stefan raised his brows again, looking down at the ground and shoving his hands in his pockets. "You know, Bonnie's gotten a lot stronger since you've been away. Did it ever occur to you that maybe she can actually beat Klaus if it came down to it being him?"
"I don't care if she's stronger than the fucking Hulk, I'm not letting her get within ten miles of that psycho, ever again. She almost killed herself last time and she knew there was a chance she wouldn't have woken up, did she tell anyone? No, of course not. Because she's stupid and reckless like always."
Stefan was quiet for a long moment. Clearly Damon was more than adament about keeping Bonnie completely out of it and it didn't look like anyone was going to change his mind...
"You really care about her, don't you." It wasn't really a question.
Damon was about to open his door when Stefan's blunt question stopped him in his tracks.
He knew what he felt for Bonnie but he wasn't fully ready yet to admit it. Especially not outloud.
He only turned around halfway, sparing Stefan a momentary glance before answering. "All I know is I'm not gonna let her get herself killed again; I don't care if she wants to be the martyr, I'll do whatever it takes to keep her out of it, Stefan...whatever it takes."
His voice was firm and the determined look in his eyes didn't waver as he climbed into the car and headed down the road towards Bonnie's.
It was already getting late and by the time they'd packed up some of Bonnie's things and left for the boarding house, the sun was already dipping low behind the horizon.
Bonnie had been furious when she'd discovered that Damon had every intention of taking her back with him to the boarding house.
The pair had spent an hour in a heated bickering session, Bonnie screaming at him that she wasn't about to let herself be put under helpless house arrest, and Damon yelling back that she had no choice and he'd chain her up if he had to.
Of course, the fight ended in Damon coming out ontop but that still left a very infuriated Bonnie who did nothing but mutter and curse as she angrily threw together a suitcase and literally flung it down the stairs at Damon.
But of course, being a vampire had it's perks and he easily dodged the flying suitcase which consequently collided with the wall and burst open, leaving all of Bonnie's clothes and toiletreies in a heap on the floor.
The Brunette cursed even more, scraping everything up and throwing it angrily back into the suitcase which was then taken up by Damon who-with equal indignation-threw it into his trunk and slammed it shut.
The ride back to the boarding house was a silent one. Each person blatantly refused to even acknowledge the other and continued to fume as the tension in the small car space grew thicker by the minute.
Finally they reached their destination, pulling up to a stop in front of the Salvatore mansion at just after nightfall.
Damon turned off the engine and sat back in his seat.
He was still pissed but Bonnie's silent treatment was beginning to wear him down and his heaved a heavy sigh, running a hand through his raven hair.
Bonnie refused to react to it and only threw open the car door without a word when Damon finally popped the trunk.
She heaved her heavy suitcase out herself and pulling up the handles, pulled it across the driveway to the stairs.
The door opened and Stefan met her with a small smile, taking her suitcase from her and carrying it into the house.
Damon stared at her back and he'd finally had enough.
"Okay, that's it."
Bonnie stopped but she didn't turn to look at him-she was still too mad.
"Are we seriously gonna keep doing this?"
"I don't know, Damon." She turned around then, eyeing him spitefully. "Are you still planning on keeping me here against my will?"
"Uh, yeah!"
She huffed in irritation. "Then yeah, I guess we're still gonna do this then" She sassed him, making air quotations as she did so.
Her attitude just pissed Damon off more and roughly grabbed her hand and turned her around to face him. "Look Bonnie, I get that you're angry right now but you better cut the sass, right now."
She gasped. "Seriously?! 'cut the sass'? you're the one who is forcing me into this so... my 'sass' is on you, Damon. And let go of my arm." She spat out.
"Bullshit, you're pissed of because I took away you're 'magic wand'"
" 'wand'? Really?! I'm not a fucking Disney fairy, Damon I'm a witch! And I'm a damn good one too; I've always been able to get everyone out of a tough spot and that's because I have what it takes! Yes, my job is dangerous, and yes sometimes I might get hurt-"
"Might?! You put yourself in the damn crossfire every fucking time, Bonnie and you do on purpose!"
"You think I'm doing it because I want to?! I'm doing it because I have to, for my friends, I have to protect the ones I care about, I can't just-"
"You're not the only one who's trying to protect someone they love, Bonnie!" Damon screamed back at her.
His words hit her and for the first time that day, all of her anger and spite faded away and she was left with nothing but surprise and confusion.
"I don't-I don't understand, Damon.."
"Yeah you don't get it, Witchy because you don't listen!" Damon exclaimed exasperatedly. He was so frustrated but he'd lost all the engergy to keep fighting with her.
Her green eyes flashed defiantly at him but she said nothing.
Damon was tired, but he was still angry and it showed through his voice.
"You can hate me all you want for protecting you but it isn't gonna change a damn thing, Judgey. So fucking get used to it."
He turned on his heel and stalked back down the porche steps away from her.
Bonnie watched him go and though she still felt resentment bubbling up in her chest, she couldn't hold onto the anger and just stood there mutely, watching Damon's back as he walked away.
Then suddenly and unexpectedly, he stopped.
There was a long pause and then the vampire abruptly turned around and faced her with wide and determined eyes. "No. You know what?"
He stalked back towards her, his steps were determined and his eyes grew more intense as he neared her. "Fuck this. If you're gonna hate me, than you're gonna hate me for this."
And grabbing Bonnie's face in his hands, Damon kissed her hard and full on the mouth.
Bonnie lost the ability to breathe when Damon's lips slammed onto hers and her chest constricted as her heartbeat raced wildly.
She wanted to move.
To respond somehow but she was frozen rigid and her head instantly emptied itself of all rational thought.
All she could think was Damon.
Damon's hands, cradling her face tenderly.
Damon's lips melded to hers.
Damon's scent...bourbon and leather.
Even his hair...she could feel it as it brushed against her forehead as he held and kissed her deeply.
His tongue licked along her bottom lip, causing Bonnie to gasp.
Then Damon pulled away and looked her square in the eyes.
He wanted to read her eyes...so badly, to see if there was any indication that she'd felt the fire ingiting between them, but he held himself back and let his hands slip from her face.
"Now you can hate me..." He uttered huskily. "But I'm still gonna protect you, Bonnie...no matter what it takes."
And with those final words, Damon walked passed her and into the house without another word, leaving Bonnie completely stunned and utterly breathless.
