Chapter Thirteen

A gasp left her lips as Kagome woke with a start and a small scream left her lips as she felt pain go through parts of her body. Her blurry vision started to clear and she knew she was in the shrine still.

"Finally awake I see" the voice was dark and Kagome didn't want to look for where it came from. If she looked it would be more real.

Closing her eyes she tried to keep the tears from falling, she didn't want to believe that this was happening. She was probably going to die.

She didn't want to die. She wanted to live.

Her eyes snapped open as she felt fingers touch her face, "Now now, Little Rabbit, aren't you happy to see me."

Kagome bit her lip to keep the whimper down. She didn't know him. The only thing she knew about him was that he wanted something with her and she had a feeling she wasn't going to escape.

Taking a small breath she tried not to move as she talked, so spiked wire around her throat didn't touch her, "...I don't know who you are. I never met you..."

She may as well die fighting back, she wouldn't die without making sure he had a hard time taking her down.

The man chuckled darkly, sending a shiver down Kagome's spine, "You may not know me now...but we will..."He paused, touching her cheek and trailing down her neck and then to her chest, "...my name is Byakuya...but you can call me...master."

Disgust swept through Kagome's insides, she would never do something like that with this man. She would rather die, and she had a feeling that is what it might take to get away from this man.

She didn't understand why he wanted her...out of all the people in Japan...why her!

"Don't worry. We won't do anything today..." Byakuya grinned, almost looking demonic in Kagome's eyes, "...I need to break you first..." with that said he proceeded to leave Kagome pinned to the floor.

"w...what do you mean." She had to ask, she didn't know how he would so that...he had her in his possession. What more could he do?

The smirk on the man's face, turned cold as he made his way out of the room, the words echoing in Kagome's mind.

"Your family is still alive...they are being a nuisance"

Kagome screamed, begging him to leave them alone. That she would do anything, but everything she said was ignored.

Kagome screamed when she heard the voices of her family upstairs. She could hear them begging to spare them..

A sob escaped her lips as she heard a thud and more screams and rustling like the sound of fighting.

"PLEASE! STOP!" Kagome screamed, trying and hoping that he would hear her and come back and hurt her and not her family.

But the screaming continued above her and then everything went silent and she knew that it was too late.

Load cries came from her, as she knew that her family was no longer alive. That the people she loved were dead because of her.

It was all her fault.

Kagome heard the murderer, Byakuya, enter back into the kitchen, but she didn't care as she coninued to cry. She couldn't stop.

"Now now...you will get over it." Byakuya leaned over Kagome his dark purple eyes taking in her crying features, "hmmm none of that. The night isn't even over and we can't have you crying all your tears because of them."

Kagome never hated someone before, but she hated this man. He was a monster.

"Monster" Kagome whispered to him,causing him to grab her chin and look him straight in the eyes.

"Not a monster..." he gave her a stern look, "I may seem that way now, but you will see I did this all for you. YOu are mine...no one but me can have you." A sick and twisted smile came to his face as he moved his face closer to hers.

Thankfully for Kagome he was interrupted by the sounds of sirens, making Byakuya curse.

"It looks like I didn't have as much time as I thought." He could hear the police outside yelling orders and the sirens outside indicating they were surrounded. Looking outside he sighed before he knew that he wouldn't be leaving with his possession on this day.

Dark purple eyes looked at Kagome one more time as he trailed his fingers down her cheek and into the curve of her neck, "I'll be back my rabbit, just remember that I will be watching your every move"

He leaned down again and ran his tongue on her bloody lips, licking them clean, "Have fun until I catch you again, because when I do, there won't be someone there to save you."

Then he disappeared into the night just as police crashed through the door and flooded the house, his laughter on the wind.

Kagome's soft cries still echoing off the house as they entered. The haunting noise forever being etched in all their minds.

"After that they took me to the police station. They had my wounds cleaned and bandaged there..." Kagome gently touched the bandages on her wrists, "Then you know the rest..."

She stayed silent not meeting anyone's eyes as silence went over the kitchen. SHe told them everything, and now had no more to say. Kagome could almost feel the hate and disgust coming from her three family members.

When no one said anything Kagome stood up, "I am going to go lay down..." She wanted to cry, but she didn't want to cry anymore in front of them. They had seen her cry enough, "Am I using Shuusuke's room for now? Or is my room still here?" She asked, not noticing the looks of hurt when she called Shuusuke by his name and not big brother, that and asking if they got rid of her room. She ignored it though...she wanted to hide from the world right now.

She wanted to hide from...everything.

"You can use my room for now...we need to clean your room. It is filled with dust. No one has been in there since you left." Shuusuke sighed, eyes looking at the youngest girl of the Fuji family. He sometimes wished he understood what was going through her mind, but like all Fuji's, she was able to hide her real feelings from everyone.

They had a lot to go over before the rift was gone.

He just hoped that rift would be able to be healed soon.

Yuki Note: AN Update! Sorry for not updating for a long while. This fic has been...hard for me for several reasons...one being I had a stalker of my own at the beginning of the year. So i didn't really have a want to work on this fic...but I am starting to get things together now...so enjoy!
