"Excuse me..." A middle aged man with chest nut brown hair said as he kept his head bowed and tried to walk past the man who stood in the middle of an isle, staring at the music magazines.

"Sorry..." A familiar voice murmured as he looked over at the other man, flicking his dirty blonde locks out of his eyes. "Hey..." he said as the other man took his eyes away from the ground. The two stopped, staring at each other in astonishment.

"Hey..." James smiled shyly.

"It's been a while hasn't it..."Kendall said softly.

"Yeah... It has..." James commented.

"Daaaaadddyyyyy! I don't understand!" A young girl yelled as she ran to James, tugging on his shirt. She looked to be about 6.

"What don't you understand bubby?" James asked as he knelt down.

"This... The barbie has pink and yellow hair..." She cried.

"Don't worry about it, I'll still buy it..." James smiled as he stood up. The little girl looked up at Kendall, noticing the pained look in his eyes. She stood behind James, holding onto his leg.

"Daddy... Whose that?" She whispered.

"This is Kendall. Remember when I was in that band, trying to be famous? He's the man who helped me..." James said as he smiled at Kendall. "Kendall, this is my daughter..." James commented. Kendall felt as if a sharp dagger stabbed through him. Both he and James had an undying love for each other, ever since they were 16. well over 20 years had passed from then. And after 20 years of pain and not seeing each other, Kendall bumps into James while looking for new music to play on guitar.

After Big Time Rush were finished, James had tried creating his own solo career, but failed. When he failed a few years later he had lost contact with Carlos, Logan and Kendall. Kendall tried to find him, but no one knew where James was. Carlos had moved to Columbia, Logan moved to Texas and Kendall headed back home to Minnesota. Seeing James in the old Minnesota shop in which he worked before BTR happened almost killed him. Kendall felt as if he were dying without having James, because once James was truly gone, he was gone. Not having him as a lover, but as a friend was fine, it hurt, but he could deal. loosing him all together, that's what killed Kendall. That's what made him attempt suicide multiple times. James was very similar to Kendall in that way. He wanted Kendall, but he couldn't have him. Especially when his mother had arranged him a marriage with a girl whose mother owned a famour cosmetics business, mixing the companies together.

"I have to go..." James said as he pulled his daughters hand into his.

"S-so do I-I..." Kendall said as he shook his head.

"See ya' around..." James said as he walked past Kendall, their shoulder's brushing as he passed. The small amount of contact from the small brush made Kendall groan loudly as he turned and ran to James. He didn't care if James' daughter was watching, he thought that he could let her see. He grabbed James, pulling him into a tight hug and breathing in his scent. He smelt like the James he remembered before Cuda Products. The original James, the one he fell for. James stood there, letting Kendall cling to him before Kendall loosened his grip and pulled away. Without a second thought, he wrapped his arms around James' neck and kissed him. He didn't care about James' wife, just like how he didn't care about his daughter. James did kiss back but pushed Kendall away and pulled his daughter up and into his arms.

"Bye." James said as he turned.

"No! James!"

"James! Wait, don't leave!" Kendall yelled as he opened his eyes, shooting up, out of bed. He looked around him as his breaths came out in short gasps, the sound of his alarm clock buzzing and going off. He went to turn it off as the annoying sounds were coming from his phone. The date made him rub his eyes and make him look again.

"No way..." He murmured. He looked around his bedroom, eyes widening as he inspected it. He was in his own bed, back in Minnesota. Today was a school day, and his alarm was telling him it was ready to go to school. "I live in L.A, why am I home...?" Kendall pondered as he got out of bed and walked into his lounge to see Katie on the couch eating.

"Morning sleeping beauty..." She commented as she tied her shoelaces.

"What are you doing?" Kendall asked.

"Getting ready for school. Hurry or you'll miss bus..." Katie teased.

"But- wait, when was the last time James was over?" Kendall asked.

"He came over a few days ago after you pranked your teacher. You guys said something about pretending to be gay together to prank her... Then you like, fell desperately in love or something..." Katie answered.

"I don't understand-" Kendall heard his phone ring from his bedroom, so he moved and ran to it, picking it up and answering. "Hello?" He asked.

"Hey Kendall! I just wanted to say good morning..." James' voice chirped into the phone.

"James! Oh my god! Hello! I missed you so much!" Kendall yelled into the phone.

"Calm down dude! Mums letting me borrow her car today so I'll be picking you up in ten- if you're not ready I'll drag you out of that house and kiss you till your lips are swollen." James' smile could be heard through the phone as he chuckled softly, making Kendall's heart flutter.

"Like that's a threat..." Kendall said as he hung up. Everything finally got to him, making him smile as he got dressed. He realised everything, was only a dream... and nothing more. James never became famous, neither did he. It was all just a small fantasy Kendall had created in his sleep, one that ended terribly.

Once Kendall was dressed and satisfied with an apple being his breakfast he heard a knock sound at the door. Katie opened the door, letting James in. James walked over to Kendall, hugging the blonde from behind. "There's my bisexual cutie." He whispered. Kendall turned around, hugging James tightly as he wrapped his arms around James' neck.

"There's my Kendall-sexual hottie..." Kendall smiled as he remembered the phrase James had used a few days ago. The few days ago that felt like months. James chuckled, then kissed Kendall back when the blonde couldn't help but place a passionate kiss to James' lips.

"James, I had the weirdest dream about us last night..." Kendall smiled as he and James started to walk out the door.

"Oh really? So did I but I'll keep it a secret." James winked. "What was it about?"

"Its a long story, but let's just say...

I can't live without your love..."
