I wrote a thing. :3

Because I freaking loved this movie and I really loved Jack. Lots of angsty moments for him.

...

When Pitch savagely snaps the staff in half- the wood splintering with a horrid snap at the break- Jack feels a pain that he'd never felt before ripple through his body. It's a strange kind of agony, one that makes him double over, clutching at his middle even though the pain does not resonate from there. It's feels like fire, or ice so cold it's hot again, like he is being burned from the inside out, the flames licking at his centre, and for the first time in a long time, Jack feels the heat instead of the cold and it burns him. The worst part, however, is that the feeling is far, far beyond just a physical one; to Jack, it's as though the Boogeyman had just snapped off his right leg from his body, while at the same time scooping a chunk out of his soul with a jagged knife, a key component to his very existence seemingly breaking off alongside the familiar stick he had carried for over three hundred years.

He lets out a yell.

However, before he can do anything else- run, attack or collapse- Pitch has him flying backwards in a cloud of black sandy smoke that smacks him against an unforgiving icy wall and sends him spiraling like a dead weight down a crevice without the help of the wind to catch or slow his descent. He hits the hard ground roughly, and looses his touch with reality.

When his head clears, Jack feels hollow inside, and the two halves of his staff clatter to the ground a few metres away.
