The impossible temperature drop sucked the air from his lungs, twisting him with its force. Lashes froze against watering eyes. His body shook violently. 92 degrees, and he was freezing to death.

He couldn't ignore her now, or the cold burning there.

"Leave. Forever."

Trembling nods were agreement enough. The cold lifted, and he ran.

Mako's approach melted the unseen glare. "Curry for dinner?"
