Important A/N about the Future of Raven's Reaper:

Its me, Chris, I'm back.

Hello and I am sorry.

I know it's been forever since I last said I was going on hiatus until I could get my life in order. Sad to say that my life still isn't in an ideal order, though it is significantly better than when I last wrote the author's note.

Anyhow, I'm writing this author's note to inform you all that I am dropping Raven's Reaper in favor of doing a complete rewrite of the story.

I will admit, when I started writing the story at 13 years old, I had this grand idea of making a big epic (using what little knowledge I had at the time regarding narrative techniques, inspiration [read cliches] derived from the now notably cringe inducing fics of the time [they really don't age well, huh?], and only a small amount of certain future scenes that I had in mind to guide my writing [plot? What plot?]), but the story was doomed from the start. I was ignorant in how I should write.

And when I was 14/15, after a very short hiatus, I was lazy, and rather than attempt to work on character development post chapter 3, I used a huge time-skip just so I wouldn't have to do so much writing and be able to skip to a single arc that would serve as the only thing close to an actual plot for the story. That had been my attempt at salvaging the "story," if you can call it that... I was only able to keep that charade up until I was 17/18.

At that point I was so disgusted with what I had done that I wasn't sure I wanted to even try to salvage what I had done, or if that was even possible. Regardless, at the time I decided to just rewrite the first chapter, leave a warning to outright skip chapters 2 and 3, and then sit back and see how that went. And while the response to the new first chapter was largely positive, I found myself unable to take any of what I wrote seriously enough to continue the story, let alone restructure and polish the chapters post unnecessary time-skip.

So, at 19 years old, that led me to, after seven out of the thirteen worst months of my life (where I thought that trying to work on the story would help me balance out my life), finally put the story on official hiatus and write the last author's note.

But it has all come to head. When I wrote that first chapter, I made a promise to never abandon the story. And I am keeping that promise by rewriting it from the ground up and actually focusing on Danny and Raven, as well as writing with canon and adding some original arcs between canon arcs, and even greatly increasing the length of the chapters (expect 5k+ chapters, especially with the first chapter). This time I actually have a concrete plot and outline. So I promise, the rewrite will be significantly better than the original, and I hope you will all enjoy it when I post the first chapter by January 2020.

Just a heads up though, the rewrite will not keep the title Raven's Reaper, or any variant of it. Instead, the rewrite will be titled Tetelestai.

Expect to see another author's note in a few months to let you all know that the first chapter of the rewrite has been posted.

Thank you all for your support during the past six years.

Until next time,
~ Chris

P.S.
Yeah I'll make sure that there are little to no A/Ns in the rewrite, and for any that exist, I'll make sure they don't exceed 500 words.
