The sun was shining, the beach was warm, and the four occupants of that beach could not be more content. It was a strange sight to see, even if the tribes were in alliance. Chaor, ruler of the underworld, sat under the shade of a huge palm tree, boots of, feet digging into the cool white sand. Maxxor, ruler of the Overworld, sprawled on his back beside him, a serene smile adorning his features. And two humans playing in the calm waters.

Chaor was content, he was happy, and at peace. This was an unusual state for him to be in, but he enjoyed it nonetheless. He was leaning against the base of the huge palm that was providing him with the much appreciated shade, almost dozing off, when he sensed someone plop down beside him. He looked over to be greeted with a stunning sight: there, sprawled on the sand was a pale human, his body was leith, but not quite scrawny, his usually spiky hair was wet and hung down in wet strands that clung to his face, but most breathtaking of all was the fact that he was lying in the sun, making to drops of water that clung to his skin shimmer in the afternoon sun.

Kaz was utterly beat, he had been swimming and running and basically just goofing off all day, he had decided to take a rest, so he had gone over to where Chaor and Maxxor sat and just flopped down, and just like that he had fallen fast asleep.

"You should move him." came a voice beside him. The Underworlder was startled out of his thoughts and turned to look at maxxor. "You should move him out of the sun, if you don't he'll either get a sunburn or it will make him dizzy and drowsy the rest of the day." Maxxor said with a lazy expression on his face.

The Underworlder nodded and gently pulled kazzy into his lap, where the human curled up like a cat and muttered something about pancakes, whatever the hell those were. Absently he began carding his fingers through the boy's hair, gently working out the tangles from the wet strands.

Maxxor chuckled under his breath, he had known for some time now how the brute had felt for his boy, but never expected to see such a blatant disregard for caution, after all he had not told anyone about his feelings, not even the object of those feelings. Perhaps it was the serenity of the location, or the level trust the two leaders had been able to establish. Maxxor decided to try his luck. "You should tell him." he said.

"You think so?" came the low rumbling reply. Maxxor was startled by this, he had not expected Chaor to be so open with him.

"Tell you what," Maxxor said with a grin, "You tell yours, and I'll tell mine." He said watching Tom play in the small waves.

"Deal." was his only response.
