My Wife is a Gumiho

Chapter IV

The Unexpected

Gu Mi Ho POV –

When I arrived at the university, I spotted Dong Ju sitting on a wooden bench near a pavilion. He was staring at the blank distant, probably thinking some deep thoughts.

"Fox, fox, what are you doing? I'm eating. What dish? A teacher's liver." I approached him from behind as I sang the song. When he turned around to face me, I earned a chuckle from him.

"I heard that their livers aren't tasty at all." He stood up and opened his arms, "It's been a while Mi Ho."

"Hello Teacher Dong Ju! I have missed you." I gave a friendly hug. "I heard you're a professor in this school. You looked cool in the advertisement."

He laughed. "Just like the heavens, I did something crazy."

Afterwards, he invited me for a short tour around the campus. His break was extended because his class had to take an exam from a different subject. I accepted his offer and for that, he became my momentary tour guide.

The university was far-edged wide! It would take us several minutes to get to another building. So, it would seem that only the rich and elite could afford to attend this school. From the sophisticated architecture to the advanced technologies, the scent of money and power was all over the air.

"How are you and Cha Dae Woong? I heard that you live together again."

"Yes we are and I'm very happy about it. Whenever we are together, it was as if I never disappeared. It's amazing how love can bring distances closer. Aren't I right?"

"I see that you're wiser now that — ah-choo!" Then, he sneezed for two consecutive times.

"Do you have a — ah-choo!" I sneezed too.

"I'm perfectly healthy. I guess someone's talking or thinking about us." He emphasized, meaning that he definitely thought of a particular person. Not that I'm having suspicions on Woong but, I hope we're wrong.

/SHORT SPECIAL SIDE STORY/
– 3RD PERSON POV –

Meanwhile, our worried lover boy is dining in a fancy restaurant with her aunt. Despite her nonstop babbling, Dae Woong was desperately worried about his girlfriend's meet-up with an old acquaintance to who they had a troubling history.

He looked around the perimeter to distract himself and a sweet couple had caught his attention. To his shock, he had seen that couple when he and Mi Ho were dating back at the ice cream store. Worsening his situation, they were flirting with each other meaning –

"They're not flirting with each other right now, are they?" He shook his head and slapped his cheeks, "Stop it! I trust Mi Ho with my whole heart and soul!"

He observed the couple again and suddenly, the guy kissed the girl's cheek.

"Probably he's doing something behind my back! Cha Dae Woong, calm down! Aigoo! I hope I'm wrong."

He drank his water in one gulp. Then, he remembered that his aunt was with him.

"Oh, I forgot about Auntie. I'll just smile, nod, and randomly reply since she will never notice anyway."

Gu Mi Ho POV –

While we were on tour, an embarrassing accident happened to me. My stomach growled loud enough for anyone, ten meters away, to hear it. I earned a few laughs and whispers from people including Dong Ju as well.

"Do you want to eat beef and drink soda? It will be my treat."

And we all know how this ends up.

We visited their exclusive canteen and mouth-watering aroma stuffed my nose. As I searched for an unoccupied table, five female students gathered around Dong Ju and began ogling with him. Although it was inappropriate to eavesdrop, I can't help it but to get delighted with this abrupt entertainment.

"Teacher Park! You're still handsome as ever. How are you?" Smooth.

"I'm fine. Thank you for the concern."

"We couldn't help it but notice that pretty woman at your table." Why, thank you too. "Is she your girlfriend?"

"No, she's not. She's just an old friend." He replied honestly.

"Aw, that's too bad. You look good together." Excuse me but, Woong and I look perfect for each other.

"Don't worry. We will always be available for you." Too bad he won''t be for you.

"Age doesn't matter, Teacher Park." The students laughed in unison.

She's right. My age gap with Dae Woong, being older by a whooping five hundred years, never became an obstacle to our relationship. It's unbelievable that this became an admiration for him to like me more and no doubt, it made me really happy.

After that, I stopped abusing my powers and waited patiently for him. He arrived earlier than expected and we began to cook our delicious meal.

"Interesting conversation, huh?" He asked.

"How did you know?"

"Just now. You answered with the wrong reply."

I smiled at his cleverness. "Sorry. They reminded me of that monk back at the temple."

Yes, I miss that old geezer. It's been a long time since I heard him repeat the same story to the tourists. Out of the blue, something came across my mind that bothered me.

"Why didn't you change your name?" I asked him.

"I like it. Besides, no one knows about my previous work in this university because I thoroughly hid it. It's tiring to repeat that same routine for years."

"What about your stalkers?" He laughed.

"I am more of the stalker than being stalked." I agreed. He was like a spy when he tried to hunt me down. Oh, the good old times.

"Moving on, I am curious about your life after death. How was it?"

I recalled everything I could remember and began the storytelling.

\FLASHBACK\

\I was alone in the white abyss and I was fortunate enough that I still have my consciousness and memories with me. Death was frightening, that even fear was an understatement. Imagine just seeing nothing but white and no one could hear or see you. I caught some glimpses of the world yet, they were brief and random mostly. And there was only one thing in my mind: Dae Woong.

The day after I disappeared and arrived at my final destination, I was able to watch him search desperately for me. He was so terrified and distracted that he almost got himself killed. I wanted to tell him that I was still here yet, I couldn't. I cried to my heart's content and the fox rain poured. That's when he felt me, inside his heart. That meant that a part of me still remained on Earth and there was hope to come back.

It was amazingly short, though loneliness made it seem like forever. I had to bear the thought of it so I could return to his arms wide open. Earthly years were days in that void and your human needs cease to exist. I prayed to the heavens and they were answered. There was a will o' wisp, which resembled like a flame, that appeared out of nowhere. It emerged in my body and I close my eyes to endure the burning sensation. When I opened them, I was back./

"To be honest, your story is better than any fairy tale, including the mermaid's." I smiled.

Speaking of which, I had to ask him about that flame-like creature. "Teacher Dong Ju, do you know what that will o' wisp was."

"Hmm. I don't have the slightest idea and I've never encountered one by far. It could be foreign but I'll look it up."

"Thank you! I could always count on you."

"That's why, I'm not always available." We laughed, referring to the conversation earlier.

After an hour, I bade goodbye and walked to wherever the street would lead me. Dae Woong called and told me not to come home yet. He mentioned about fixing something up. I decided to kill some time by touring around the neighbourhood and bought a gallon of our favorite ice cream, the cow flavor. When I passed by a television store, I stopped to watch a historical drama that was currently featured. It was an old woman talking to a young girl, who had whiskers on her cheeks.

"My dear fox, there will be trouble ahead. History will haunt itself to conceive a non-existent past."

That had bothered me. I mean, why are her whiskers too many?

I sighed at the thought. I guess they were falsely informed again. I continued walking until I reached the studio. In the distance, Dae Woong's presence had fluttered my heart. This is reality, not a memory or a glimpse of the world.

I skipped towards him. "Woong, what are doing here? Were you waiting for me?"

His smile had faded into a frown. "Mi Ho, I have to confess something. You see, a famous actress will sleep over in my studio. She's really pretty, in all honestly, and I am waiting for her. As a humble host, she and I have to spend some time alone." He emphasized the last word.

I screwed my face in sudden despair. "What?"

"I was trying to fix everything up. That's why I called you." My heart grew heavy after hearing such news from him.

I take back my words. I hope this was not real. Tears started to gather in my eyes. How could he do this? Isn't he proud to be my boyfriend?

"I'm just kidding. My acting was great, right?"

What.

I covered my face and didn't reply. Stupid Dae Woong!

He held my hands and talked serenely. "Mi Ho, are you mad? You know that there's no one prettier than you. I would reject any girl who'd want to stay with us or bother our lives." That's when I cut the act and wrapped my arms around him.

"Your acting was great, but mine was better. And don't take back your words!" He let out a heavy sigh, shaking his head in amusement. And there, his heart-warming smile was on his face again.

If you were wondering about my previous thoughts, I fooled you too.

Cha Dae Woong POV –

Mi Ho and I ate the melted ice cream at the balcony. She kept admiring the university as if it was Batman, if it were in my view. Fortunately, they just talked as friends and ate a meal together.

In not less than a minute, she finished her favorite cow-colored ice cream. "Woong, did you talk bad about Teacher Dong Ju and me?" She asked. I almost swallowed the spoon because of the abrupt question.

"Hey, do you really think I'm that kind of person?" Deny, deny, deny. Don't get busted.

"It's not that I'm accusing you. It was weird that we both sneezed in sequence."

"Sneezing is always random and coincidental. Why would it be weird? You're so funny, Mi Ho." I pinched her cute cheek. She looked at me with doubtful eyes and that made me spill the beans.

"Fine. I was worried that something might happen." I sighed out of defeat.

"I promise that nothing happened or will happen between us –" She paused, and her mischievous smile appeared again. "You were jealous, weren't you?" Aish, this girl is so observant. I have to divert her attention. "Wait, Mi Ho. I was always curious about something and only you can answer it."

"Really? What?" Her curiosity narrowed, only to be replaced with excitement. Figures.

"What happened after you disappeared? I mean, where did you go? Did you see a tunnel of white light or feel hot amidst red flames?" Wow, I think I was more excited than her.

She told me a long story, a long yet fluttering story. I mean, she only thought of me even in life after death.

"Woong, don't ever kill yourself. Going back to this world only happens to beings like us."

"I know and I'm sorry. You were right that I was desperate and terrified. Living without you was like death to me. But hey, you're back so remind me to thank that wisp later." She nodded.

"Don't' worry, I asked Dong Ju's help about that." Then, her spirit of curiosity came back.

"So were you jealous?" Aigoo, she never gives up huh.

"No." – The denying me
"Chi. Just admit it Woong." – The intrigued her
"I just did." – The still denying me
"You're lying." – The truthful her
"How would you know?" – The playful me
"Just now." – The wise her
"What? That doesn't make sense." – The confused me
"It doesn't? Teacher Dong Ju successfully did that to me." – The I-have-no-idea-that-I-just-made-you-more-jealous her

Now I was getting irritated, "Why would I be jealous of him? He's not yours and you're not his, you don't have a couple ring with him, he couldn't kiss you nor lovingly hug you, he couldn't watch you sleep, and you don't make him happy as much as you do for me. The best part of all is that I love you more than anyone, even more than him—" I stopped, thinking about all the embarrassing things that I just confessed aloud.

Out of the blue, her white tail showed up and it brightened the darkness.

"Woong! All the things you've said really made me happy that my tail popped out!" She exclaimed, feeling her aura of happiness.

Her smile made my heart beat crazier and so did my feelings. Everything I said was right and I felt guilty for doubting her. I realized that just like her tail, she had brightened not only my night but also my life.

I stretched my arms. "Ah, I think I'm tired. Do you want to sleep together in the new bed?" She nodded her head vigorously.

"Are we going to mate too?" My eyes widened in shock. Is she really that eager?

I cleared my throat and stood up. "No. We're just going to sleep together. I'm going ahead now because I'm starting to hear sinful things." Then, I purposely walked faster and went inside.

"I was just kidding. Woong, wait for me!" Mi Ho shortly followed behind.

Park Dong Ju POV –

Nightfall came fast and the day was over. I fixed my stuff and drove back home. While I was driving, Mi Ho's story was transfixed in my mind. The flame-like will o' wisp was beginning to flood my mind, impatient to unveil its mystery.

Suddenly, a call from a workmate had distracted me. "Good evening Mr Park. You left something important." This is strange. I clearly remember that I had cleared my desk and brought the important things with me.

"Good evening Ms Song. Thank you for telling me. May I know what I left?"

"It's something red and you can't live without it." She hinted. I sighed, not this again. She was referring to her heart that I 'bewitched then broke'.

"Ms Song, how many times do I have to tell you that I don't have time nor interest for that? I'm sorry but I'll have to reject you again." For the third time.

"Is that so? But I won't give up on you Park Dong Ju! Have a great night and dream of me!" She hung up and I was left in utter amusement.

\"You gave up on me. But I won't give up on you. You'll always be someone special to me."\ Gil Dal's abrupt image crossed my mind that I stepped on the brake abruptly. I almost bumped the truck behind me and the driver seemed pissed about it, after he yelled some foul language.

Why did she appear again? It's been quite a while ever since I dreamt or thought of her, the woman I only loved. I guess meeting her split image, Mi Ho, had switched it on again.

Cha Dae Woong POV –

I found myself waking up to a beautiful morning. I glimpsed at Mi Ho and got bewitched again by her innocent face. It felt like I was the Big Bad Wolf while she was Little Red Riding Hood. Worsening the situation, I could feel my cheeks burn just like the warmth of her hug. For the first time in my life, I've never been happier with someone and became more 'human'. It's a great thing that I met her instead of going to that Spartan Academy Grandpa would have sent me to.

Mi Ho grudgingly blinked her eyes. There, the angelic smile grew wings on her lips. "Good morning Dae Woong."

"Good morning Mi Ho. Did you sleep well?" She nodded, still keeping that smile.

"Woong, what do you want for breakfast?" It's amazing how this girl never failed to surprise me.

"Why? Is my cute gumiho going to cook for me?" To be honest, I liked this idea. "If so, anything will do."

"Anything?"

"Anything as long as it's within the scope of allowed ingredients." I teased her. When something came out of her thoughts, she stood and headed for the kitchen. I checked my phone and saw Byung Soo's three missed calls. Aigoo, I forgot about the taping! Dialling his number, I thought of all possible excuses.

Me: Hello? Byung Soo, I'm –
Byung Soo: Cha Dae Woong! The taping will start in two hours. Are you coming or what?
Thank god he's not mad.
Me: I will, I will. Could I bring Mi Ho to the set?
Byung Soo: No problem. Just stop by at the back so that the crowd won't go crazy again.
That's right, I'm their annoyingly "trending superstar".

I sighed out of relief after hanging up the phone. Even if Byung Soo is my best friend, his angry side is extremely dangerous. Speaking of anger, I should probably check up on Mi Ho.

Before I could even reach the kitchen, the delicious smell of beef soup had reached my nostrils. I could've guessed what she would cook for us: beef, of course. When I checked the breakfast, everything was mouth-watering. I never knew that she could cook like this. Again, she took me by surprise.

"Whoa! This is even better than expensive restaurants." I sat down and thanked for the meal.

I took delicate bites to savour the wonderful taste, though I noticed that kept staring at me. "Mi Ho, do I have something on my face?" I finally asked.

"No. I like looking at your handsome and cute face, Woong." Hack. I chocked on a bone after hearing her compliments. Aish, why am I getting this girly lately?

"Of course, I was born this way. I want to be a natural good-looking superstar, without the plastic surgeries and make-up." She nods, obviously falling for my distraction. "That reminds me, I have to film later. Do you want to come with me?"

"Is it okay?" She asked, happy in tone.

"Yes. I want to you to experience the life of an action star and see behind the scenes."

"Okay! Ah, I am so excited!" She raised the bowl and downed the soup until it was completely empty. "It's delicious!" She said her usual line.

Frankly, I was excited too. How could this day get any better?

Kim Byung Soo POV –

"Is the backdrop ready? Are the ropes safely tight? Does it look realistic and frightening to the point that it could give me a heart attack?" I bombarded the construction coordinator with questions. It's normal for the director to do this routine for the sake of the film.

"Yes, yes, and quite a yes. Don't worry too much, Director Kim. I bet my salary that this is going to a blockbuster!" He said convinced.

"Alright! You said so yourself. So, where is the key make-up artist?" A short woman approached me with a worried look on her face. This is definitely meant bad news.

"Director Kim, you need to know this." I didn't want to ruin my day so I told her to inform me later. Just then, I heard a familiar voice from a distance. Guess who?

"Honey, I brought you food!" Sun Nyeo greeted. The crew heard it and they tried their best not to laugh. It's an evident sign that we should start changing our name-calling. Too bad she's not attentive enough to see it.

"Sun Nyeo, I told you to call me Director when we're on set." I whispered.

"Why? Is there a problem?" Her slight anger formed goose bumps on my skin. I have to think fast!

"Not at all, honey. It's just that I want to act cool on my crew."

"Fine, let's talk about that later." She smiled. Wow, that was easy.

"I'll just get your food, Director Honey."

That's when some of the crew couldn't take it anymore. Meanwhile, I checked the street to see if Dae Woong had arrived. Out of all the things I could find, Mi Ho was just right there!

"Mi Ho! Long time no–" Not letting me finish, she ran away as if I was some kind of rapist. What was that all about? Could she have forgotten about me?

"What's wrong? I heard you shout Mi Ho." Sun Nyeo approached.

"I did but she ran away from me. She was incredibly fast too!"

"Silly. That's wasn't Mi Ho because her hair's black. That girl's hair is grayish." Really? I pictured Mi Ho and she was right.

"Maybe she colored her hair while she was away?" I admit that it was all I could possibly think of. "Or perhaps that's the new in?"

"Why would she run away from you? And, who would want to color their hair like that? Does she want to age that quick or look like a ghost?" Right then, a great idea had popped in my mind, all thanks to my chatty beloved.

"My Sun Nyeo is such a genius!" I kissed her cheek and left in search for the key make-up artist, leaving her evidently baffled.

Gu Mi Ho POV –

We headed outside to wait for Dae Woong's van to arrive. I was excited to meet his team because he shared great stories about them. When they arrived, I was taken back when he introduced me as his girlfriend, all the more when they complimented me in various ways. They kept teasing us until Woong threatened them that he'll fire them. It was funny how they weren't scared and instead, the opposite effect happened. Their threat was sharing his embarrassing moments off cam. He kept his mouth shut and we laughed to our hearts content. Just like that, I officially became a member of the family as the "cute cheerleader" and everyone agreed that it suited me well. No one could define how this was perfect, like a family.

Arriving at the destination, we parked away from the actual set to avoid commotion.

After getting off, I found myself wrapped around Sun Nyeo's arms. "Mi Ho! We missed you so much!" I smiled and returned the hug.

"Where have you been? It took you long enough for me to become a director." Byung Soo joked.

"She had to fix personal matters out of the country. Didn't I tell you?" Dae Woong's interruption had saved me.

"Ah right. Mi Ho, were you here earlier?" Byung Soo's odd question caught our attention.

"No. I came here with Woong just now." I replied.

"You don't have a twin, right?"

I glanced at Woong and shared the same confused look. "I don't. Why?"

"I saw someone who looked exactly like you, apart from having a different hair color―"

Sun Nyeo cuts him off. "He's just tired. Also, we were so excited to see you again so his mind could have played tricks."

"I'm sorry, Mi Ho. I was just intrigued. Anyhow, I'm glad that you're here. If I have some spare time, let's play our game. We'll go ahead." He grabbed Dae Woong's arm and he was forcefully dragged to the set.

"I hate to admit this but, I'm so jealous of you." Sun Nyeo admitted, "You are like this inseparable and perfect couple. Don't you know that you're dating the country's dream date?" I laughed, thinking that everyone finally sees what I see.

"Is that so? I definitely missed a lot, especially when you and Byung Soo became official. I've always wanted you to end up with him." I confessed. It's true because they were always together whenever I bump into them. They matched well, too.

"Really? To be honest, I never knew that my soulmate has been with me this whole time." She melts as she dreams of him. It looked so cute, you know.

"So unnie, what's your role in the movie?"

I think it was wrong move after sensing a bad aura from her. "I don't have because he thinks I'm too good for his film. You and I both know he's a good liar. So, I'm stuck being Hae In unni's stylist."

"The hater?"

She nodded. "Hell I know, but it's fun to watch her suffer. She has this huge crush on Jeremy-sunbae and he's so blind about it. What do you expect from someone who values their pride so much?" She paused after a man approached us.

"Ladies, we lack an extra to play as a ghost. We would appreciate it if any of you would care to help us." He invited us.

"Sure she will!" Sun Nyeo answered. What?

"Sorry, Mi Ho. I don't like the role of a ghost though I have an idea. Since I still have my freedom, I could give you a terrifying make-over!"

"Make-over? Like what chicken-ajumma did to me?" I asked, remembering the cute curls on my first date.

"No. Whatever that chicken-ajumma did to you, I'm going to be better." Her determination had assured me. And for the next few hours, I was completely transformed by her magical hands.

Cha Dae Woong POV –

My right arm ached after Byung Soo had forcefully dragged me. However, I couldn't set my mind off to what he said about Mi Ho having a twin. As a matter of fact, I feel that there's something's wrong about it. It kept bothering me that I forgot what I just read on my script.

Aigoo, focus Cha Dae Woong! Focus! Alright, where was I? Oh here.

I resumed practicing my lines. My role for this movie is a man who falls in love with a supernatural being: a ghost. Though I'm not into romance, there are many action scenes in this movie. That reminds me, I haven't seen my co-star slash leading lady since her rumored break-up with her fiancée.

"Kim, where is—" I stopped after noticing that he was on the phone. Based on his unappeased look, something terrible had come up.

"Alright. I'll just find someone else. Please tell her to take care. Thanks." Then he hung up. For the next three seconds, his figure started to change to a desperate hermit.

"This movie is going to be a total failure!" He screamed in frantic.

"Are you alright, Director Kim?" He suddenly grabbed my collar closer to him. "Look closely into my eyes!" Oh crap, not this again.

"Do I look like I'm a man who just got terrible news?" He asked. Obviously, he does. But as a friend and co-worker, I should just probably lie to restore his confidence.

"No Director! You look like an inspired man who would never give up!"

"Chi. I know you're lying. Look Dae Woong, I'm so screwed! Who's going to fill in her role? I mean, she's your co-star slash leading lady!" He started to panic.

From the distance, I heard Sun Nyeo call out for us. "Look what I did to Mi Ho!"

One thing came out of our mouths: the girliest scream our lungs could reach. I think I was in an actual horror movie except it's daylight and we're outside. Mi Ho looked absolutely terrifying with Sun Nyeo's expert make-over. Her hair was straightened like Sadako's, opaque circles formed under her black contacts, skin as pale as snow, and everything scary you could probably imagine. She looked like 'The Grudge' in real life. Though she looks one heck of a ghost, her beauty never ceased to exist. I admit that she was truly a work of art.

"It's her! The perfect ghost! Mi Ho! You'll replace for her role!" He exclaimed in admiration.

"What?" Mi Ho and I reacted in unison.

"Okay! Everyone, please head inside the building so we could start filming!" He announced to the now busy crew. "That includes you two." Pointing his finger at us, he departs inside together with Sun Nyeo as he stormed her with kisses.

I tried to avoid glancing at Mi Ho. Her make-over still gives me the creeps.

"Woong, do I really look scary?"

"To be honest, you're so scary that I forgot that you're half gumiho. For a second, I thought you were real ghost!" I confessed.

"What am I supposed to do?" She panicked. "Mi Ho, remember what you did last night? That was great acting so, just do that." Agreeing to what I said, we head inside the building as we were about to begin another crazy chapter.

3RD PERSON POV –

A Few Minutes Earlier…

"Um, hello miss. Could I ask for your–" She raised her hand to shut him.

"Pardon me, sir. Can't you see I prefer to be alone at the moment?" The girl cuts him off harshly.

That was the sixth time she had rejected a man, no matter what his age or appearance was. Who wouldn't dare to miss the chance of talking to this living goddess? She is beyond beautiful that the world was filth compared to her, though her rosy cheeks stood out against her porcelain skin. Obviously, this unwanted attention had bothered her because she looked irritated most of the time. More like beautifully irritated.

"Men are still the same lustful beasts. In the end, they'd leave and betray you for something they found more satisfying to feed their hunger." She told herself.

Then, a sudden commotion had bewildered her. When she turned around, her eyes almost popped out of their eye sacks. Dozens of men gathered and watched her with hopeful eyes.

"This is getting in my nerves." Right then, an idea popped out from her mind.

Before anyone could make a move again, she took the chance to run away fast. It was unfortunate for her that they still pursued and tried to catch up. Within a few minutes of endless running, no one was able to catch up with her. As she panted heavily, she spotted movement along the corner of her eyes. It was a young man who waved and called out for her. Not again.

"Mi Ho! Long time no–" Without letting him finish, she ran away from him.

After hiding amidst the bushes, realization had hit her that he must have mistaken her for someone else. After all, he called out a different name.

"What kind of name is Mi Ho?" She asked herself as she on an empty bench with no one around.

"I should not waste any more of my time. Where will I find him?" As if on cue, an odd-looking flyer landed on her feet. The best part of all was that the man, who she was looking for, was right in the picture.

She looked closer and it was funny how she looked so confused. Most of the words did not make any sense though she understood the basic ones.

Fortunately, an smug-looking aged woman passed by. By the looks of it, she looked wealthy with her strange clothes and eye-catching white pearls. Fake pearls, she thought.

"Excuse me, ajumma. Could you please read this to me?" She points at the paper.

"Is this a joke?" The woman looked at her judgmentally. The girl just popped a smile though she was fuming deep down.

"Your beauty is such a waste. Anyhow, this is the city's most prestigious university that my son attends. It's quite far from here and it seems like you're lost. Since you are beautiful enough, I could give a lift."

She was surprised by her sudden offer. "Is that alright with you? I mean, we have just acquainted."

"Of course. Before we go, you have to tell me your name. Do you know?" The woman's question seemed to piss her for she was obviously ridiculing her.

"Gil Dal. I am forever grateful for your help." She answered politely.

"That's an odd name. Oh well, let's go dear."

Gil Dal followed her behind with a devilish smirk grew on her lips. Things turned out to be well in her favor and her plan was undoubtedly working.
