A/N: Here's a little Christmas-related fanfic between Candace and Perry, since there doesn't seem to be many of them out there. Mostly fluff. But I welcome reviews.
I don't own Phineas and Ferb. Disney does.
Perry Christmas, From Candace
"Oh, Perry," called a 14-year-old Candace in an uncharacteristically cheerful voice. "Come here."
Perry dreaded what she had in mind. He tried to scurry away, but the teenager scooped him up and took him to her room.
Candace put a blindfold on the undercover spy animal. She wanted what she had in mind to be a surprise.
Great, thought the platypus. She's probably going to put me in some ridiculous dress again! One more pink dress and I'll be humiliated more than Heinz in his childhood year of having to wear the hands-me-up girl's clothing!
Ever since she turned 13, Candace would only want to play with Perry if it involved dress-ups. Otherwise, she'd just push the smelly meat brick of a creature off of her bed and out of her room quite rudely.
During the first few years Perry was adopted, Candace didn't mind him as such. She thought he was cute as a young Platypup. But when she became a teenager, she started to complain about everything: her brothers' ideas for fun, not being perfect enough for Jeremy (Which isn't as bad as she thinks), and Perry's smelly blandness as an adult platypus.
"Okay, Perry," Candace said to the blindfolded monotreme. "I'm going to take the blindfold off and show you the outfit I've just put you into."
Here it comes, silently sighed the platypus. Let's just get this over with. He felt the blindfold coming off and slowly opened his eyes.
Perry was… surprised at what he saw in the mirror. Instead of a humiliating pink dress, he was wearing a Santa outfit. It was mostly red with white trim. Candace even had placed boots just his size on his little platypus feet. Perry thought it was…sweet, awesome, and not embarrassing in the slightest. He loved Santa Claus!
However, instead of a Santa hat, he was wearing…his agent fedora! "I found that hat in my dress-up chest this morning," explained Candace. "I couldn't find a Santa hat to fit you."
Drat! Perry thought. I must have dropped it last night while I was hiding in the chest waiting for her to fall asleep so I could sleep on her pink, but very comfy bed. Perry worried his secret life might be discovered and he'll be relocated.
"You know," said Candace. "I don't know where the cute hat came from, but you can keep it as a secret Christmas present from me. It actually makes you look cool and not at all bland."
Perry chattered happily at Candace while keeping his mindless pet act up. Candace hugged him quite gently. "Perry Christmas, you meat brick!" Candace said in a very playful and happy tone.
Perry secretly patted Candace on the back so softly, she didn't suspected. Candace, you may be a high-strung teenager who wants to get your brothers in trouble, thought Perry. But you have a heart of gold when it counts!
Even after many years later, Perry happily looked back on that Christmas Eve night when she gave him the best Christmas gift ever!
A/N: Yes! I am still here. I wrote this to get my writing courage back and to celebrate the holidays. So, I wish you all a Perry Christmas and a (chatter) new year!
