Night time... Way past midnight...

"Mission accomplished commander?" The driver of the inconspicuous van asked. "Where's the rest of the team?"

"Knocked out. We're leaving, start the engine." The commander plopped into the van's seat, taking note of three vans around it. They all held soldiers. He let out a sigh and held out a vial in front of his hand. "But with this thing, it's worth it. Now get us out of here recon. Scope's already heading for the energy source. We'll pick Scope up on the way."

"But what about the rest of the troops? Are we really just leaving-"

"A small sacrifice for the better of mankind. Move, now!"

"Yes sir."

The engine whirred to life and a female soldier closed the door, the commander giving a nod at her. The van began to move and the commander looked back briefly, the body of the level 5 still there. He couldn't help but feel that something was wrong.

The van began to accelerate, leaving behind the man. Something was wrong.

The sky was darker now for sure. And the clouds are parting to reveal… what is a red moon.

"GUAAAH!" Two figures clad in armor fell down to the ground. The electricity was still coursing through them as they spasmed. Two other figures, these ones without the protective armor, were backing away towards the other end of the alleyway. Both had their guns raised in front. The cause? Misaka Mikoto standing close by, with a scowl on her face.

"That's the third group tonight. Who are you people?" Mikoto demanded stepping closer. Immediately the two fired at her. The loud sound of the gunshots echoed throughout the area, but the bullets were of no harm. All of them were reflected away by magnetism. Mikoto only scowled, the noise doing more damage to her than the bullets. "Stop that, you know it's useless."

She swung her hand forward releasing a burst of electricity. The two were hit by the blast and were knocked away. None of them moved again afterwards. Knocked out from the voltage, but not killed. Mikoto never did kill her opponents. Besides, they need to be interrogated. At least that's the best option right now. Where was Anti-Skill? From the sound of gunshots they should be around here.

Were they being distracted by something? If that was the case she's just going to need to do everything by herself. Kamijo was already gone having escapes earlier. Who knows what he's planning... Well. Better focus on interrogation.

"Maybe calling Kuroko would help."

A teleporter is actually pretty handy on moving around... Maybe she could get her a raincoat for the rain too.

On top of the many skyscrapers, a lone figure was watching the event. It was the sniper, Scope, and was slowly getting up. The sniper wore a large cloak to shield himself from the rain. But he did his job and just needed to leave. He turned around, heading for the entrance of the building, but halted abruptly.

On top of the entrance, a human figure stood at the top of the entrance. A brief lightning flash, with seemed to be red, allowed him to see the person was wearing some sort of black garment. Despite the rain, the person didn't seem to mind it too much. He held out a sword several feet long that he waved around, seemingly testing it. His red scarf flapped to the wind.

"What the-"

"-the juice?" The person landed in front of him, his sword raised. "Academy City doesn't like trespassers don't you know?"

Four vans continued to move across Academy City. The technology they possessed allowed them to be hidden from sight, but the faint sounds they make would warn those who can hear well. Which is why barely any of them had their invisibility activated. They were all heading towards the same direction, towards the edge of Academy City. They made good use of different paths to avoid any encounters. They were escaping in quite an organized fashion.

On one of the vans behind, it was lagging behind. It was to remain inconspicuous but with the recent battle, they weren't going to be ignored. But the driver still lagged behind, intent on his goal.

They occasionally passed by several police cars that had just started to chase them. But a quick activation of the invisibility cloak and the vehicles were out of view. With the GPS scrambler added on their vehicles, anyone that chased them quickly vanished.

Inside the vans, three other soldiers were watching the scenery around them. Two of them were calm but they were keeping watch. Another one was tense, looking around like a panicked hyena. His eyes kept moving about. From alleyways to rooftops to men sliding towards them to open restaurant shop- wait what? The soldier looked back again just to make sure.

He rubbed his eyes and looked again but he was there. Right behind them, several meters away and slowly catching up, was a man with red electricity surrounding him. The lightning danced around his whole body, from his arms that were pointed behind him and releasing electricity, to the ground where his feet was surfing a stream of electricity on the street?

"There's an esper behind us!" He shouted in alarm. "Lightning man is back!"

"What? The target is still alive? You're kidding right?"

"We're invisible.. Can a person see us?"

"Well he's chasing us right now!"

"He got shot in the head by Scope! And it's no normal sniper rifle, it can pierce a tank and destroy it!"

"Look, tell me what you think of that running power plant! This city is messed up anyway! Students with superpowers!"

"Command gave the order to snipe! No one can survive that you idiot!"

"Just goddamn look behind us!"

The rest of the soldiers looked back. But they didn't see anything.

"Are you messing with us?"

"He was there awhile ago!" The first soldier looked back again. "What!? Where did he-"

A red flash and Cole MacGrath was one meter behind the van. And he had his arm pulled back holding what seemed to be a giant fireball into one. For some reason, the conduit looked very different. Very very different. Cole grinned as the soldiers attempt to pull out their weapons. Then, he slammed the condensed orb of flames to the vehicle.

An explosion shook the commander off of his thoughts.

He turned around and looked out at the back. Despite the rain's effects, his group caught a glimpse of a flaming vehicle behind them. It was too far away to affect this vehicle, and the armor his men were carrying would've allowed them to survive. For him, the van suddenly being destroyed meant something else. The conduit just got back up.

"Step it up!" The commander barked out, putting his vial into a case. "He's awake! All groups hurry and return fire! If you split up we'll be hunted down one by one!"

His command reached the others in seconds. The remaining soldiers began to drive faster, ignoring their choice of stealth to fight off Cole. But the commander was thinking things. Despite the invisibility of the vans and the GPS scramblers, they were being chased by the man from before. Were espers really like these?

On the top of the furthest van where a makeshift hole was, two soldiers were out. One was firing his assault rifle back and the other was readying his rocket launcher. Cole was steadily getting close to them by grinding on the ground.

"Fire that rocket launcher!"

"I'm working on it!" The rocket carrier steadied his weapon , waiting for the lock on. His fellow soldier continued to shoot only for a small bolt of red lightning to hit him. The small bolt of red struck him directly at the face. That single attack triggered a small electrical explosion, slightly affecting the other soldier's aim. The soldier distracting Cole fell inside stunned, but the lock on was there. He fired.

The Javelin missile spun around before striking near Close. The ensuing explosion was enough to leave a mark on the street and a cloud of dust. With the rain intensifying, the soldiers cannot see very far. But they did see a man coated in flames flying towards them fast. Cole struck the car with a small fiery blast and despite shocking the troops, he didn't really do any damage. The vehicle slowed down a little however.

The rocket launcher dropped back down as two soldiers clad in heavy armor popped up. They pointed their weapons, assault rifles, at Cole who was now grinding again. Bullets shot out and Cole was hit for the first few seconds, then he disappeared.

"He disappeared!" The two looked around in alarm. Cole had just simply vanished leaving a trail of black mist. Then an arc of lightning connected from the sky into the vehicle, staying there as if some sort of electric whip. One of the soldiers chose to wisely look up at where it came from.

"Up there!" He raised his assault rifle. "He's up the-"

He was cut off as Cole landed on the vehicle, his fist slamming at the soldier's face. Despite the heavy armor, the flame augmented punch dazed the soldier enough to take him out for awhile. The other soldier retaliated by slamming the butt of his rifle at Cole. The conduit lost his grip and fell out, but his electrical tether was still attached. He pulled himself back as the soldier began to fire.

Some bullets missed, some bullets hit, but Cole didn't care as he pinned the man on the top of the car. He pressed his hands on the soldier's face, and ignoring the armor, absorbed all the electricity in his body. Just as the soldiers inside realized what happened, the body fell back inside lifeless. A moment after that, a shockwave of dust and electricity covered the vehicle, reaching the fuel-

Another van was destroyed with a fiery blast.

By then the Commander has issued an order to stop all his troops and form a defensive formation. All vans already did so but the group was several meters away from them, aware that their target can easily turn those vehicles into bombs. He wasn't positive that they would all survive, but maybe with enough force they would mow him down. If that doesn't work, Scope was already contacted. If a tank piercing sniper bullet can knock him down the first time, they'll simply have to do that again.

Several meters away from them was the flaming wreck of the last van. It didn't seem to have any survivors, conscious ones at least. They might still be alive, but the flames might cut off their supply of oxygen. Maybe it could've also killed the man? No, that would be anti-climatic. Level 5s can survive those attacks. But this person was rumored to not even be an esper. So what was he?

"You idiots have no idea at all who you're dealing with." Then a human figure walked out of the wreck. Completely covered in flames and electric sparks, the conduit from before walked out of the blast unfazed. Either he was doing that for show, or it was the rain triggering his powers. The commander assumed it was the former. "They never learn, always sending people like these to me. So damn annoying. Wonder if I should kill you all right now? Maybe if you beg for your life, I'd spare-"

"OPEN FIRE!"

All the soldiers did as they were commanded, unleashing what weaponry they have. Those carrying assault rifles, shotguns and machine guns fired all the ammunition they have. Those carrying missile launchers fired, their rockets striking the man. While the few who had riot shields stood down, shields ready. They'll survive the longest. The firing continued for almost a minute before everyone ceased. On where Cole was, despite flinching from the attacks and being forced back by the attacks, his body seemed to be regenerating. It was as if he was overloading with electricity from his bio leech.

Then the firing stopped. Most had stopped firing earlier when they realized no effect on him. The rest were still firing and now had empty ammunition. All of them tried to reload, slowly backing away.

"Is that all? Then it's my turn." Cole raised one hand and began releasing a stream of electricity at them. The stream of electricity branched into many smaller arcs of electricity, all homing on the soldiers. Their heavy armor might shake off the first few hits of the arcs of lightning, but lightning was lightning and it was damaging them. "Doesn't seem fair doesn't it!?"

That offensive was soon countered when the Riot Shield carriers moved in front, clumping together to protect against the attack. The electricity struck the riot shields, but they held strong against the attack. Not a single stream of electricity reached the rest after they clumped together. But the heat was too much. The shields were meleting and so were the armor of the Riot Shield carriers.

"Oh look at you all clumped up together!" Suddenly the attack halted and Cole was between the group. He teleported. A strange grin was on his face. "Thank you for the meal you bastards!"

The group turned and open fired on him with all they got. It didn't help. The moment Cole raised his arms, a blast of flames and electricity were released. The soldiers ceased to fire and were lifted off by the blast, and then remained floating on the air.

"What the hell!?""S-shoot him!""It burns!""It's burning!"

And Cole clenched his fists. The screams of the soldiers filled the street. That was completely understandable for Cole. They were having their energy and life drained and into him. Sides, he loved the way they cry out.

The commander continued to run. His instinct told him to. This was the same instinct that helped him survive many close encounters. And his instincts told him to leave behind his soldiers. He only ran away when they began firing. Although the commander watched him get hit a couple of times, he felt as if that wouldn't kill the esper-no. That wouldn't kill the conduit at all.

"Don't bother running away." The commander was hit in the back by a strong kick. He crashed into the ground, but he quickly got up. That voice wasn't the conduit's. It was the voice of a, girl? He turned around, his shotgun ready to shoot. Only to find himself in the air, two floors above the ground. "You're not from around here at all aren't you. Not from Minus or Skill outs?"

The commander fell down the ground, using a roll to lighten his impact. He got up and sensed someone nearby. A slide kick to the back made a student let out a yelp. The commander turned around to shoot, but there was no one there.

"Ouch. Resisting arrest?" A kick to the head made the commander drop to the ground again. This time before he can get up, he found himself pinned to the ground by needles? He tried to struggle but couldn't. His minor concussion was not helping either. "Ha, you can't escape from that. And my advice, it's better than facing his evil side. We're on the other side of the city so you should be happy he's not giving chase to you."

The commander was able to briefly look up. The person who caught him was wearing a student outfit with pig tails, looking around and talking to a phone. Was she a middle schooler? He was defeated by a girl like this?

"Don't worry onee-sama. I got one.. But something's wrong with your... father.."

"He's not my father."

The commander didn't care about the conversation there. He just cursed angrily.

"Damn you espers…"

"Damn, where is that sniper? If that commander guy vanished well that means he's dead… Or captured by that teleporter. Man, I wanted to kill him so bad…"

Cole continued to run across the rooftops. Despite the tall height of the skyscrapers, he was doing well on jumping over them. Noticeably the red electricity from before was still there. It was still raining heavily and the clouds were obstructing the moon again, making things dark. But Cole just needed his trusted abilities to navigate. He was great at parkour. And flying. And teleporting. Wall running is even possible.

"Okay, finally found someon- Oh?"

Then he saw her. Well it was more on 'sense' with his Radar Pulse, but Cole does see through that ability a lot. Add that up with the large amount of electricity she has, Cole couldn't help but feel refreshed whenever she came by. Of course the conduit was also a bit annoyed whenever she's around. In comparison, the girl seemed to be much more irritated at him. But they are both Level 5s, at least in a power level sort. Although the girl might be stronger, and he thought they should get along together.

Standing on another skyscraper close to him, was a citizen of Academy City. She was wearing what seemed to be a student uniform under a raincoat. Cole could faintly see a sling bag around her. She was under cover of a small section of the skyscraper, giving the reason why she was dry. But even if she left that cover, the raincoat she was wearing would surely prevent her from getting soaked. Occasionally sparks of electricity would emit from her hair. That was Misaka Mikoto, one of the Level 5 espers in Academy City. Aka his daughter. Yet she doesn't know that.

Cole waved at her with a smile despite the downpour. "Hey Sparky! How's life?" More electric sparks from Mikoto. "Fancy meeting you here."

"As an electromaster you're practically screaming to be found by anyone you know."

"Ah so you were looking for me. Do you need love advice kiddo? Any boys hitting on you?"

Her scowl never changed. "You're awfully cheerful for someone who had just killed." Cole's grin never left his face either. She then began taking out something from a sling bag she was carrying. "Besides, aren't you looking for something?"

She pulled out a purple glowing stone and Cole's face showed a smile. "Oh, the mega-blast shard, or the blast core. Where did you find it? It normally takes me an hour or two to locate that. Oh and that sniper… Hmm, wonder where the sniper is?"

"This is the thing you keep using to create those miniature blasts every month?"

"Well I have a good reason to do that. Get a bit of more power and bam that's how it happens. By the way did you see a sniper?"

"So someone's giving it to you. Normally I'd question why you're searching for this and how it works but…" Mikoto tossed away the irradiated rock. Cole's face showed disdain at the treatment of his powerup. Well at least she wasn't going to use it.

"I'm not here for that. You killed those soldiers below right?"

"It was either me or them. Besides, they were dangerous." Cole looked down, his expression hidden. "I only killed the ones who took a last stand against me. They were about to kill me with their weapons and I was barely alive when I used that draining attack. The ones in the cars might still be alive."

"You're dangerous. I'm dangerous. The students that attend here are dangerous! That's why we have Anti-skill and Judgement!" Mikoto was out of the cover now. She didn't care she was getting wet. She was angry. She was walking towards Cole as she spoke. She halted when she reached the end of the rooftops. "No that's just bullshit! You killed them just for fun. For no apparent reason, you're non-lethal takeouts are better than that. And there's no way you can be killed by those people easily."

"Congrats missy. You're not dumb as someone who can be tricked by idealistic views," Cole looked up to her just as lightning struck nearby. The flash that followed was almost red in color. On his face was a twisted grin. His blue eyes seem to shine red briefly when lightning strike nearby. "This was war. They were fully intent on killing me. Ever heard of a wise man named Lamperouge? He said 'the only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed!' They're soldiers, they know what position they placed themselves in. You should know you're going to have to kill someone soon, or get killed."

A large burst of electricity emitted from Mikoto's hair. Lightning struck the rooftops close to her. "You always have this lunatic side of yours. Maybe I should beat some sense to you before I arrest you."

"Oh electric princess." Cole paced around for a bit. "Did you forget who am I?" Flames appeared on his left fist. "I'm the Demon of Empire City. I don't submit to authority! And I'm not holding back against a girl!" 'Not even my other side's daughter.' Cole silently added in his mind.

"Well I won't hold back either!"

Yup, battle in the next chapter with the two. This one is just to show a bit of Cole's arsenal. His more... voltatile one. Anyway yeah, expect a proper chronological timeline... I think. Still including One Punch Man here. Oh and right, additional scene.

Last Notes - Will work on Zero Discharge (InfamousXFOZ) and Realization (FOZxFNAF) next

Touma was panting.

The soldiers found him somehow. Even when he was hiding inside a dumpster in a dark alley. The rain didn't even distract them so it wasn't his noise. They must have had some X-ray tech or heat detecters. Maybe an esper? Either way he was thankful.

He was thankful for the person nearby. The person that appeared and took out all those soldiers. He didn't see how he did it but he doesn't seem to be an ally to them. Maybe he's an esper? Touma slowly got up from the wall and the hooded man noticed him.

"You okay?" The raspy voice asked. "You look like you took a beating."

"Yeah. Mostly fine," Touma said between pants. "Thanks for saving me-"

Touma ceased. The distant lightning briefly illuminated the man. He was wearing a brown hoodie. He almost looks like... Almost looks like that infected super soldier. Touma stepped back. The hooded man stepped forward.

That's when Touma realized just who this man was and how it made perfect sense. He took out the multiple soldiers around him easily. He didn't seemed injured when they fired guns. There was no sign of esper powers either. This man took on all the soldiers with brute force. This hooded person... It was the terrorist! It was Alex Mercer! Touma gripped his right arm, unsure if it would work on the infected. If they were like espers he will live. But ... why is this man here!? Why is this- Was he with the soldiers?

Touma was already thinking of escape plans when the hooded man stopped.

"By any chance is this Academy City?" The man suddenly asked.

"... Eh?"

"Yeah I think I'm lost," the hooded man lowered his hood now that he was under the cover of the alley. His hood was soaked so he must have been moving around. And the man was bald... Wait... This person doesn't look like Alex Mercer. "I kinda lost my apprentice on the way."

"Uh.. Yeah, this is Academy City," Touma said awkwardly. The tense atmosphere was gone. This was... This was truly strange.

"Ah thanks. Hmm, you look injured. You need some help getting to a clinic or something?"

"... Clinic?"

"Yeah. I'm Cap-Saitama. Let me help you out. It's part of my job to help out others."

"Kamijou Touma... Thanks.."

"Lead us to a clinic then Kamijou... Maybe they can fix my raspy voice."
