READY FOR AN UPDATE, MY BISHES?

This is really short with little punctuation but I really needed to update so... Yeah.

Luke, Maya, and Clare cautiously advance down the disturbingly quiet hallways. They have yet to open their clue to the item, partly because they are scared and partly because they heard screams which made them freeze when they tried to open it. They have been wandering the halls aimlessly since then.

Several minutes pass without anyone saying anything. Few noises are heard, but the occasional air conditioning unit turning on or the furnace or anything makes them all jump. Finally, Luke speaks. "Guys, I don't think it's doing us any good walking around without direction or even knowing what we're supposed to be looking for. So can we open the envelope now?"

"I don't think that's a good idea, Luke. I mean isn't that what he wants us to do?" Clare explains.

"He?" Maya asks. "What makes it a he?"

"Doesn't it seem like it should be a man? I mean girls don't pull this shit!" Clare practically screams.

"I guess." Maya says, uncertain.

"Whatever it is, the person said that he/she was among us, so be on your guard for other group and even our own group members. If one of us is the crazy killer, the other two have to promise right now to kill them, or at least try, okay? Prevent as many deaths as possible." Luke says.

"Smart plan, Luke." A deep, masculine voice says; they all stop dead in their tracks. Clare's, Luke's, and Maya's eyes all snap in the direction the voice came from, straight forward. At the end of the long, dark hallway stands a figure dressed in all black with its face covered by, what looks like, a ski mask. In stark contrast to the figure's dark attire, is a crimson stain on its abdomen—blood.

All of a sudden the long hallway seems much, much shorter to the three of them. They are shaking insanely fast, and their hearts are pounding. "Well, are you just going to stand there?" The voice sounds more feminine this time like a woman, but it seems to be coming from the same figure. "Make a move, boy and girls!" It barks, loudly.

Luke, Maya, and Clare run as hard as they can in the other direction, and as they hear menacing laughter. It beckons after then, "Open the clue!"

The three teammates get as far away from whatever the hell that was as fast as possible and are now on the other side of the school. They all catch their breaths and look at each other. "So should we look at it?" Luke asks, stupidly.

"If we want to avoid immediate death, yes!" Clare screams, hysterically.

"Alright, alright, let's just open the damn thing." Maya says. She takes the clue from Clare, and rips it open. "We have to find... A knife. Wait, a knife?!"

"I'm gonna be sick." Clare says while sinking to the floor.

"No, we gotta do this, and get this done, and survive! C'mon, Clare, Luke. Let's go!" Shouts the you her girl as she pulls Clare to her feet, and shuttles them to the hall. "Alright, so this has directions, so let's use them." Maya relays a creepy rhyme to her teammates, but the basic directions are down this hall to the left, then another left, a right, and another damn left.

"So we're looking for a knife. Wonder what we'll look for next. Satan?" Luke says and almost jokes but in the their current position there's no laughter or really humor. They make the first turn and they come closer together in the scary, dark halls with Luke in the middle. If they're going down, they're going down together.

The next turn is made and they realize they are dangerously close to where they had their encounter with the figure. That realization makes them physically closer again.

The next turn is made and they realize they are headed to the exact classroom the figure was near, so this was all planned out for them to run to the complete opposite side of the school. Damn, this person is good!

They enter the classroom with caution. Checking and double-checking for any presence in the room. There didn't seem to be any, and they found the knife with ease.

...

The next clue tells them where to go but not the item. So they follow the directions and come into a history classroom. They open the door and shut the door behind them, taking the same amount of caution as before. They are looking around the room for the item and hear the click of a door being locked. Luke rushes to the door. "It's fucking locked from the outside!" He yells in frustration and panic.

"Don't panic, loves. It's just insurance. Insurance that you'll do as I say. Now, Clare, please precede to the teacher's desk in the front of the room." The same voice from the earlier announcements says, only these are only coming to this room. "Maya and Luke, have a seat in the front row, please." They all obey, knowing it's the best thing to do. "Clare, open the bottom-most file cabinet in the desk." She does. "Notice the gun in there, and pull it out." Her eyes widen like a deer in headlights, but she slowly pulls out the gun. "It's a revolver to be exact," the voice continues. "There's one bullet, Clare, and you must shoot it at anyone in this room. It could be Miss Matlin, Mr. Baker, or yourself, Miss Edwards. If you disobey, you'll die slower and more painfully than anyone else here. Have fun and you have five minutes!" The voice comes off the intercom.

They sit there staring from each other to the gun in Clare's hands. "I can't do it." She says, feebly. "I can't. Not to either of you."

"You have to, Clare. Just pick one." Luke says through gritted teeth.

"Yeah, just pick, Clare." Maya agrees with a sad expression.

Without another word Clare sighs and points the gun at Maya, then Luke, then Maya again. She looks like she's about to pull the trigger, but turns the gun on herself and shoots herself in the head, killing her instantly.

Killers POV

Clare was the stupidest. Who takes their own life in the place of others? Pretty damn selfish people who want all the fame and glory of being a hero, if you ask me.

She was an idiot. She defied my plan. I wanted it to be the stupidest, yes, and it turns out Clare was, but I really thought she was smarter than that.

Oh well. She is gone now. The world is smarter thanks to me.

Next up the is the weakest.
