A/N: Hello everyone, I've gone ahead and edited this story a little. It started out as a place for me to dump random tidbits here and there but then it shaped into a proper story focusing on Mimato and Taiora. So to make it simpler, I've now compiled all the short drabbles in one chapter so people who don't want to bother with it can skip directly to the second chapter.
Thank you for reading~

Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon.
S
The sun was setting, as the couple walked back towards their apartment after a friendly match of soccer. Well it wasn't that friendly, thanks to Taichi's competitive side but Sora was used to it by now. He grinned to himself as they walked hand in hand.
Sora frowned, "What's so funny?"
"Nothing." He replied happily.
She sighed and decided to drop the topic. She was quite enjoying the unusually comfortable silence.
Taichi glanced at his girlfriend, who looked content. His grin widened and he chuckled to himself all way home.
As Sora unlocked the door, she turned to Taichi and smirked, "How about a shower together?"
His grin widened even more as he pushed his girlfriend inside the house and closed the door behind them.
Sex after Soccer.
This is how he knew Sora was the one.

Colours – Part One
tayorinai hodo daki shimete hold tight

(Even if I'm unreliable, just hug and hold tight
cause you'll be repeating it)
Pink
He used to hate that colour. It made him want to throw up. But lately, all that colour did was remind him of someone. Someone who was far away. Someone who he couldn't reach. He used to despise the colour pink until it started reminding him of the one thing he wanted the most in life.
It reminded him of Tachikawa Mimi.
Orange
A small flash of that colour and he would look around frantically, only to be disappointed. Every time he saw orange, he was reminded of her. Her eyes, her hair, her smile. He always told her that this was her colour.
To Yagami Taichi, orange was Takenouchi Sora.

Colours – Part 2

yureru kimochi odoru no
(Even if I'm unreliable and clumsy, take a slow dance
I want to sway and dance with you)
Blue
The sky was blue, so was the sea. And both reminded her of him. Both were far apart just like them. The sound of the waves reminded her of the sound of his smooth voice. The clear sky reminded her of his rare smile. She always told him that smiling was good for health but she was sure he didn't believe her.
Tachikawa Mimi sighed as she looked up at the blue sky and wondered if Ishida Yamato was looking at the same sky.
Brown
This was the colour she saw everywhere. His brown eyes. His wild brown hair. His tanned brown skin. The brown mud on his shoes. The brown chocolate in his hand.
He often told her that Orange was her colour, to which she'd reply that brown was his.
To Takenouchi Sora brown was Yagami Taichi.

Rangers
"Power Rangers."
"Uh huh."
"Yama, you're not listening to me!"
Yamato looked up at his whining best friend who was sprawled on his couch with a very bored look on his face, "I am listening to you."
Taichi pouted and then continued, "We should dress up as Power Rangers for Halloween next time."
Yamato continued scribbling down in his notebook, completely unfazed by the brunette's remark, "Taichi, how many of those cookies did you have?"
"Two." Taichi giggled.
Yamato raised an eyebrow.
"Tins." Added Taichi with a sheepish grin on his face.
Used to his best friend's childish behavior, Yamato continued working on his song, sitting cross legged on the floor and not bothering to pay attention to the other teen who kept passing him expectant looks.
"So?" Taichi finally asked after a few minutes passed.
"So what?"
"We'll do it right? Me, you, Sora, Mimi and Koushiro! All five of us!" Taichi grinned happily.
"Why would Mimi want to dress up as a Power Ranger?" Yamato pointed out in a dry voice.
"Why wouldn't Mimi want to dress up in nothing but Pink?" Taichi countered as he wiggled his eyebrows at the blonde.
"Stop that. It's creepy."
"So it's decided." Taichi grinned triumphantly, "I'll be Red-"
"Wait. Why do you get to be Red?" Yamato frowned at his best friend.
"Because I'm awesome."
Yamato scoffed at the reply.
Taichi burst out laughing, "You don't think I'd let you be Red?" He said once he regained composure.
"What's wrong with me being Red?" Yamato asked with a scowl on his face.
"Oh Yama, you are so not Red."
"Oh and you very much are?"
"Hell yeah! I'm the leader remember?" Taichi pointed out.
"Self-proclaimed." Yamato muttered.
"Not! You guys said I was the leader!"
"When we were 11."
Both the teens glared at each other.
"Fine, we'll let Sora decide." Taichi said in a voice that signaled the end of discussion.
"Oh sure. We'll let your girlfriend decide whether you get to be Red or not." Yamato said sarcastically.
And again, both the teens glared at each other.
"Jou."
"Jou."
"Fine."
"Fine."
And with that Yamato went back to his song and Taichi went back to his day dreaming. And in less than an hour, the silly argument was long forgotten.

Camping
"Taichi, get out of my sleeping bag right now."
"Shut up Yama. I'm trying to sleep here."
"Go sleep in your own sleeping bag!"
"But I don't like my sleeping bag. Yours is more comfy."
"Not comfy enough to fit two guys. Get out now."
"Look you're the one who's uncomfortable, so why don't you get out?"
"Because it's my sleeping bag!"
"Wow, selfish much?"
"Get OUT."
"No you get out and go sleep in my bag."
"Why would I voluntarily go sleep in a sleeping bag that's uncomfortable?"
"Because you don't want to share, so that's your punishment."
"What kind of a fucked up logic is that?"
And it was at that point that Mr. Ishida really regretted accepting the offer to accompany the two boys on their camping trip.

Random
If there was thing that was guaranteed with spending time with Taichi, it was wasting time. For hours and hours they would just sit there and do unbelievably pointless things. At first, Yamato used to resist but after a while he just gave up because he knew it was futile and the more he resisted, the more Taichi wasted time trying to rope him in.
Today's mission was to build a house of cards. With the table fan facing the house of cards. The result had been obvious from the beginning, but two hours had gone by and his idiotic best friend was still at it.
"Taichi, it's not working." Yamato didn't even need to look up from the book he had picked up about an hour ago to make that statement.
"Goddammit Yama! You just don't have faith in these cards do you?"
"I don't have faith in humanity."
"These cards have a purpose. And they're going to show you what they're made of, just you wait and watc-"
"You said that 15 minutes ago and those cards are made out of paper. Can you please go home now?"
"Aha! So you just want to get rid of me, because you want to help these cards realize their dream all by yourself."
Yamato sighed, put down his book and without looking back at his best friend, walked out of his apartment. When he returned half an hour later, the cards were scattered around the room and Taichi was sleeping peacefully, his face resting where the stack of cards should've been standing, in front of the table fan.

Rangers –II
The last few minutes had been the most uncomfortable moments of Jou's life with Taichi and Yamato staring at him intensely, waiting for him to answer.
"You know guys…I uh was never really a fan of Power Rangers so I don't think I'm the one who should be making this decision." Jou smiled nervously at them, hoping that he'd be released from the burden of deciding which one of his friends was more suited for the role of the Red Ranger.
"That doesn't matter at all as long as you understand the concept, which I'm sure you do." Taichi replied hastily.
Yamato stayed silent but that scared Jou even more.
He gulped a few times and looked around the room in order to avoid their intense gazes and his eyes landed on Koushiro and Takeru who seemed to be enjoying his current situation as they tried their best to conceal their laughter.
"Well uh…" Jou tried his best to avoid Yamato's icy stare as he started with his answer, but he really had no choice, everyone knew who was more suitable to be the Red Ranger out of the two boys standing (unbelievably) close to his face now, "Um, I think, Ta…Taichi-kun would be a better choice but I'm not really sure, it could be either of you rea-"
"Aha! I TOLD YOU. It's the truth Yamato, you better face it. I'm the leader, always and forever." Taichi shouted triumphantly and did an extremely weird victory dance around Yamato which was, frankly just amazingly embarrassing to look at. Jou turned his gaze towards the blonde who surprisingly did not have a sour look on his face but one of acceptance.
"Well at least unlike Taichi, Yamato is not a sore loser." Koushiro pointed out hopefully as the bushy haired teen continued his loud and unbearable gloating.
"And he's definitely not loud." Jou muttered under his breath and noticed that a small hint of a smile appeared on Yamato's face as he watched his idiotic best friend jump around the room.
"And a much, much better dancer." Takeru added, grinning.

Flashback
"No."
"Yama please."
"No means no Yagami. And my name is Yama-to"
"Fine! Yamato-kun, please!"
"No."
7 year old Yagami Taichi glared at his classmate. Of all the people in the whole wide world his mother had chosen to befriend this sourpuss's mom. This sourpuss who was in his class and had a younger brother who was the same age as Taichi's younger sister. This sourpuss who very conveniently lived nearby. This sourpuss whose mother was sweet enough to invite them all for a picnic in the park. This sourpuss who wouldn't play football with him. Taichi angrily kicked the ball aimlessly but unfortunately for the young boy it ended up hitting somebody's head.
"Great kick,Yagami." The blonde smirked.
Taichi deadpanned, his eyes were glued to auburn head the ball had hit. If that person complained, his mom would definitely not bring him to the park again. He gulped and closed his eyes, praying for the person to just curse the sky and walk away. What he was not expecting was the ball to land back at his feet. He felt the ball hit the tip of his feet and he opened his eyes in surprise. There was a girl standing a few feet away from the two boys, smiling widely, her auburn hair shining in the sun, her skin tanned just like his. She motioned for him to kick the ball towards her. Taichi's mouth dropped in astonishment and Yamato raised an eyebrow, surprised by her response.
He shook his and readied himself to kick the ball back, he turned and grinned at Yamato and muttered, "That's the girl I'll marry."
