Okay, I know that this is short, but it's mostly the idea that sparked this whole story for me. The rest of the chapters will actually be the length of an actual chapter, I promise. Okay, hope you enjoy :)
1. Marshall Lee and I are different.
Marshall Lee and I live on two parallel lines. His being the dark underworld of the city, mine being the top stories of the nicest apartment complex. We live on parallel lines. Like parallel lines, we share no points. We hang out in none of the same places, we eat at none of the same restaurants and we shop at none of the same stores. We live on parallel lines. Though parallel lines seem to have nothing in common, if you look closely, they have the same slope. They work the same way, they follow the same rules, they count up the same and count across the same. Likewise, Marshall and I are both human. We both walk on our legs and see with our eyes, as is true for every healthy human. We are both under the same law, we both have cardiovascular system and a beating heart. We live on parallel lines.
Though the more I think about it, parallel lines never intersect, or you've drawn your line wrong.
So maybe we don't live on parallel lines.
Or maybe our lines are just drawn crooked.
Marshall Lee and I are the intersection between two parallel lines.
