"You've got to be kidding me!" Sting's hand flared with the impenetrable white flame and smashed it into the opposing wall. Melting down the stone and leaving his knuckles slightly bruised; the force of his punch didn't allow the flames to engulf the stone fast enough. Huffing out in anger Sting clasped his other hand and fisted it into the wall, leaving himself to look down at the floor. "Is she an idiot.. or what?" Recalling Gemini as she relayed the exact words that were said during Minerva's and Lucy's confrontation.

"And how would you know if I was done playing with my toy yet? Your words are awfully suspicious Miss Lucy... not that it matters, not now anyway." There was a short silence. "Fine, I'll give that animal back to Sting.. but why is it that you care about the wretched thing? Would it be for Sting's case? Is there a certain reason as to why this.. or should I say he is so important?" Minerva wasn't letting the conversation drop, she wanted every ounce of information that she could use against the celestial mage, even if she had to delve into Lucy's heart and rip it out from underneath the skin.

""And what if I said there was... a reason..?.." Lucy couldn't stop the flow of the conversation so she just trailed along with it, her face beginning to strain with pain; the horrid look on Minerva's face was something that could kill you in a matter of seconds.

Weighing up the words Lucy had said there was a quick realisation that hit Minerva, but she wasn't going to say it out loud. A grin became present on the taller female's face and she let go of Lucy with a slight push.

"Fine.. I will grant your wish, you had better hope the Guild Master doesn't punish you for this. " Minerva stood with her arms crossed waiting for the trash to remove herself from the floor. Lucy was scared... her face was in immense pain and her body quacked to flee from the menacing figure above her, but she knew what must be done. Picking herself up from the ground Lucy shook off any remaining dirt and stood silently.

It was then that Sting realised how true to her word Lucy had been, she would always put the people she cared about first and it made Sting sick. Compared to her he was a worthless piece of shit, always looking after himself and throwing others away. A longing guilt welled up in Sting's stomach and urged him to let go of everything; but he couldn't do that now. His fate had already been decided when he let Lucy go from the chains that held her down. Taking himself away from the wall He looked back at Gemini Lucy and winced, her celestial spirits were making it awfully hard for him not to think of the girl.

"Is it possible to connect with Lucy?" Sting looked expectantly at the spirits, hoping that it was a possibility.

Gemini looked shocked for a few moments before hesitantly answering.

"It is. The consequences though.. will be a loss of magic power. They have yet to extract any power from Lucy but.. I'm not sure how long until they do." Gemini's words sank in; the spirit was giving Sting an ultimatum. To take the chance or to not. He mulled it over for a couple seconds before selfishly deciding. He needed to know where to go, he had lost her scent; damn Minerva and her powers.

"We have to take the risk." Sting spoke without hesitation, stepping closer to Gemini Lucy. He was willing to do whatever needed to make the connection with Lucy.

Hearing his resolve, Gemini lifted its hand and placed it on Sting's chest, feeling for the heart underneath his skin and clothes. Closing its eyes Gemini willed inside Sting's heart, a light gold shining around it's body, showing that she was using Lucy's power.

Sting felt a change instantly, a connection that had been made and was traveling through his body. His sight started to flash white and he felt his mind disconnect from his body. He could feel himself being pulled, like being attached to a rope. All he could see was white and just barely could he see the outline of a new surrounding. He was disorientated for a second, his mind turning blank before his memories slowly started rekindling. He feverishly looked around, taking in the warehouse like room that he was in. Turning around he laid his eyes on a body with its arms and legs strapped. Looking straight at him with an utter horror. He looked down at himself and saw that he was transparent, turning his hands over again to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

Looking back up, his mind clicked into action, recognising the blonde in front of him. Her body was bloodied and her blonde hair hung over her face, only a single eye could be seen; staring right at him. Her clothes were ripped and she was defiantly incapable of moving. Sting's eyes widened in horror, tears threatening to bubble to the surface because this girl was in this because of him. He started forward at a pace he couldn't seem imaginable and walked straight up to her, practically falling down in front of her and looking at her; Lucy.

"I-I'm going to get you out of here." The white dragon slayer choked out, slightly disgusted that such emotion was possible in his voice. He reached his hand out to brush her hair away, but it went straight through her, remembering that he was only connected to her power and not the physical body itself.

"S-Sting, wh-what are you doing here? You aren't s-supposed to help me. Go away." Lucy's voice croaked out, moving a little to get a better view at the hope in front of her. Pulling at her chains she cried out in pain, hearing her flesh sizzle from the burning.

"I didn't j-just do this for you, my f-friends a-are also in -danger." Lucy seethed as she whispered to Sting, desperately trying to get him to leave her alone so she could accept her fate. Sure, she wanted to live, but she would happily die to save her friends.

Sting's eyes widened more at her words and then turned to anger. "You're throwing your life away for this. They will come after your friends anyway, and you know it. I can't -"Sting's words choked in on themselves, cutting himself off before he could say anything else. Coughing slightly he regained his composure. "You know that I'm not going to leave you here, even if I'm sacrificing everyone else on this damn planet, I'm a selfish bastard who doesn't give a damn about anyone else. So I am coming to get you, no matter what." Sting made sure that Lucy understood what was going to happen, he couldn't stand the horror etched into her eye and the shackles holding her down.

Lucy couldn't do anything but nod, knowing that it was useless. She wanted to protect her friends but deep down she knew that this wasn't the solution to her problems. The situation was dire and her own uselessness only caused pain to others around her; there was no regret in her actions but there was a certain belief that if she had leaned on the shoulders of her friends, than her own body wouldn't have to go through such torturous ordeals. Bowing her head slightly Lucy choked back a tear and reminded herself that time was of the essence.

"Tunnels. U-underneath the s-sta-dium; that's what Minerva dragged m-me through to get here. Ther-e are types of magic barriers concealing our mag-" Lucy stopped suddenly, becoming stiff. There was silence as Sting wondered what she was doing, sweeping his eyes over making sure nothing happened. Just as suddenly as she stopped, Lucy started to violently cough, Scrunching up her body to stop the convulsions. Wheezing for breathe she looked up for a second.

"You must go now Sting. My magic." Lucy faintly smiled before grasping for more breathe. "Gemini must leave you for some while; but she will be back." Lucy finished what she had to say, unwilling to push Sting away, but that would be a dangerous feat that would kill the both of them. She nodded once and Sting could feel the sudden light headedness. He started to fade, and looked up at Lucy, determination setting in his eyes.

"I will come get you; you idiot." He grinned at her, the one that showed his canine tooth. Repressing his anger for Sabertooth and what they had done to her. It took only a moment before he finally lost sight of the Lucy in chains.

"LUUCYY"

Natsu broke open the door to Lucy's old captive place. Heaving from exhaustion from both the fight with Gray and the extensive running that they had undertook.

"Do you see her?" Gray came in from behind, looking around the broken down dwelling. After seeing the note that Lucy had left for Natsu; containing co-ordinates for somewhere in the city, the two magic users had ignited in a new burning hatred for Sabertooth.

"NO! WHERE THE HELL IS SHE?" Natsu seethed with rage, his eyes narrowing. "Sabertooth will pay for this." He roamed around the small house, using his nose to sniff Lucy out. He couldn't help but notice that Lucy's scent was everywhere in this building; along with the White Dragon Slayer Sting.

Coming into a room at the end of house, Natsu instantly saw the chains on the wall and paced up to them. Inspecting them with curiosity, he tilted his head. "What is this?"

Gray entered the room and looked about, there was some blood on the floor and right underneath Natsu's feet was scratches in the floor. "Move it Natsu." Pushing Natsu off of the flooring underneath him, Gray inspected what it said. It was hard to decipher, like it had been scratched in.

"Ge-mini?" Natsu cocked his head to the side; intently looking at the scratched message in the floor boarding.

"If it's by Lucy then it could mean one of her celestial spirits.. but why?" Gray thought on the concept for a second, not being able to understand why she had put that there; was there something Gemini could do that they were not aware of?

Sitting on the floor the two of them stared at the writing that was the only lead that they had.

When Sting came too he had no idea what was happening. His head was spinning and his face was surely pressed down on the cold marble floor of the Grand Magic Games Arena. He was throbbing with pain all over and it was a hard feat to lift himself onto his feet again.

"Che" He wiped his mouth of blood that had ran down from his nose, a cold iced steel look present in his eyes. He was almost insane with the urge to rip the heads off all of his previous Sabertooth guild members. He remembered when Lucy and him had first met one-on-one which lead to her capture. From that moment onwards the two of them had walked down a path that they didn't want to; changing the both of them from the inside and out.

He clenched his fists for a moment before walking through the Grand Magic Games, hearing announcements of Sabertooth not being present at the games. He urgency was replaced with a calm hatred that resonated through his body. He felt different after his experience from just before, like he had a meaning to protect something, and it wasn't a bad feeling either.

Just like Lucy had said, Gemini had disappeared and he could only hope that they would come back soon, he needed all the help he could get.

"Hmm... did you miss me Blondie?" Sting stopped, a voice resonating in his head. It was only getting louder and almost painful to listen too.

"Even if I am trapped and powerless, have no ways of escaping or are tied down, I won't give up until I die. There are people that need me and now!" Another voice; Lucy's. He remembered this time, when the both of them still shared a spoken hatred for each other. It pierced his mind and left him without breathe.

"Hmmmhp, Blondie, I won't let you escape that easily. If you leave, I'll be under constant watch!" He fell to his knees, holding his head in his hands. The pain was like no other, flashing memories and voices speaking to him, making him relive them.

"Sting.." The last one make him stop, all together. His world just collapsed all on itself, he was on the verge of tears from both the memories and pain, but it wasn't until he heard another voice, one that sounded real.

"Sting... STING!" The White Dragon Slayer rose his head, looking around at the hallway. The pain and memories had all vanished and left him confused.

"What..the..fuck..is..happening.." Sting said between gritted teeth, he had heard a voice but it seemed to have disappeared as soon as it came.

He put the issue to the back of his mind as he rose and continued walking, knowing quite well where the entrance to the Sabertooth passageway was.

To be continued.
