College started, so much work, finally finished for this year.

After their not-so-romantic dinner, the group walked back to the hotel with Dragon Natsu and Slayer Natsu exactly ten feet away from them as Erza had told them it was their punishment for causing a scene, with the boat restaurant now sunken and millions of jewels worth lost.

Human Natsu on the other hand, was holding on to a blushing Lucy's hand with a grin. He was happy he was able to convince Erza that he was innocent and had no involvement with the other two Natsu, making the other two fume and attack him but the red haired Titania was able to stop them in time.

"This is your fault, idiot" Dragon Natsu mumbled to Slayer Natsu, his dragon eyes burning at the hand his human counterpart was holding on to his mate.

"Huh?! How is it my fault?" Slayer Natsu growled back.

Wendy nervously looks behind at the two arguing pink haired mages.

Erza saw her looking worried and sighs, "Leave them be Wendy, if they do anything I'll stop them, no need to worry"

The younger girl chuckled nervously and replied, "Well I was wondering that since Natsu-san has different personalities, I was umm… wondering if I had some too"

Everyone froze except for Erza who continues on with a finger tapping on her chin like a wise person.

"If you did, then I don't think yours would be like Natsu. Can you imagine yourself like those two at the back?" asked Erza, turning to look over her shoulder at them.

The rest looked up at the large thought bubble as a Wendy with white scales grinned with sharp teeth. "You want a piece of me?!"

And one Wendy crying while hiccupping out, "I have no magic. I'm sorry I can't help you!"

Lucy patted the young dragon slayer's shoulder with a sympathetic sigh. "I hate to say this, Wendy. But it seemed like there isn't much difference if you had a human version of yourself"

The blue haired girl could only giggle nervously.

The rest of them could only laugh as well.

"Okay, okay, that's enough excitement for one day. I'm ready to hit the hay" Gray said, stretching his arms upwards and crossing them behind his head with a relaxed smile.

"Oh yeah, you're sleeping with Natsu-san aren't you Gray-san?" Wendy voice reached his ear, causing him to yet again freeze in mid-step.

"W-Wendy…" Happy whined.

The young girl glanced up at Happy and Carla who was shaking her furry head. "Eh?"

Realisation dawned on her before she blushed and shook her head side to side. "I-I'm sorry!"

After reaching the hotel, the mages had another problem with Human Natsu:

"No! I wanna be with Lucyyy" he whined, not letting go of her hand as his Dragon side and Slayer side were gripping on to him while growling.

Erza, Wendy, Happy and Carla were gripping on to Lucy to help her escape from Human Natsu.

"Natsu! Let her go before I rip your hands off!" Erza yelled out.

"But Erza, I'm trying to protect her from them!" Human Natsu cried out in dismay as he was now hugging Lucy's arm.

Gray on the other hand, was busy with Juvia.

"Juvia wants to be with Gray-sama!" the water mage cried out with tears flowing as her grip on Gray was strong enough to make them both fall.

Gray continued to struggle and yelled out, "Oi! Why is no one helping me here?!"

Human Natsu lay on his bed with a pout as his Dragon side and Human side were snoring loudly on their own beds.

Gray was also snoring loudly, he had fallen asleep right after his head hit the pillow.

Human Natsu pulled back his blankets and walked out of his room, hands shoved in his pockets.

The city was quiet with only some people around, tending to their garden and cleaning the streets.

He walked around as the stars in the sky twinkled in the dark sky.

He was feeling sad and looked down at his hands. Even with his strength, he knew that he could never be able to keep his Lucy safe.

His Dragon side and Slayer side were much more capable than he was. If she was ever in trouble…

With a clenched fist, he punched the stone wall that lined a small river and yelped in pain.

"Natsu!" a sweet voice travelled into his ears.

He looked to the left and saw Lucy running to him with worry in her bright chocolate eyes.

The blonde stopped right infront of him and held his bleeding fist delicately.

"W-what were you doing?" she asked as small tears formed in her eyes.

Human Natsu opened his mouth but no words could come out. He done the one thing he did not want to do… he had upset Lucy.

"I-It's nothing," he tried to pull his fist back but Lucy held it tighter and pulled out her pink handkerchief, wrapping it around his fist to stop the blood.

"Don't tell me it's nothing. You wouldn't hurt yourself over nothing, Natsu" Lucy said, slightly glaring at him.

The pink head grinned sheepishly while rubbing the back of his head with his good hand.

The celestial mage sighed and said, "Come on, if something's on your mind, you can tell me"

Human Natsu looked away and tugged his grey scarf nervously. "I-It's just that… I can't help but think that I'm too weak to help you, Luce"

The blonde blinked confusingly, making the pink head look away and continue.

"Like… if you or anyone else are in trouble, I wouldn't be able to do anything… I don't have super strength like my two counterparts, or even use magic. I'm just a useless human tagging along with no use to anyone on this mission.."

Lucy blinked again before reaching both her hands and held his face in them with a serious look.

"Natsu, you're not useless. You may not have magic or inhuman strength but you are smarter than the other two. If anything, we'd trust you to help in succeeding in this mission. Even in Edolas, with no magic, you still managed. And you're always important to me, so don't you ever put yourself down"

Human Natsu blushed as the words registered in his mind… especially the last sentence.

Lucy seemed to notice his blush and realised what she had said before letting his face go and look away with embarrassment.

"L-look, let's just get your hand fixed up" stuttered the blonde.

Human Natsu grinned, his past depressing feeling now gone as an idea formed in his head. "Not unless I get to sleep in your bed, Luce!"

Lucy looked at him in disbelief but looked at the dark sky with a sour expression before giving in and said tiredly, "Fine…"

Human Natsu fist pumped but didn't realize he was using his injured hand and yelled as pain shot through it, making Lucy jump in fright.

He would've laughed at the scared expression she made if he wasn't writhing on the ground clutching his hand.

Later that morning, Lucy woke up early to two arms wrapped around her waist.

She giggled at the cute expression Human Natsu had on his face.

'He looks so cute' she thought gleefully.

Her eyes travelled to his hand that was wrapped with a bandage and smiled slightly.

'He was worried he couldn't save me…' she thought sadly.

Looking back at his face, the celestial mage leaned down.

"I don't mind that you don't have magic, Natsu. To me, you'll always be my hero" she whispered softly into his ear.

Human Natsu groaned a little, startling her but he went back to snoring softly, calming her after that.

She smiled softly and pecked his cheek before rubbing her eyes.

….

'Eh?'

'W-why did I do that?!' she thought, blushing furiously before untangling herself and running to the bathroom to shower before the others, glad that Wendy asked to be roomed with her and Erza with Juvia, despite the water mage's disappointment and fear.

A few minutes, while Lucy was relaxing into the bath tub, Wendy Marvell rubbed her eyes as she sleepily pulled back the blankets and walked to the small kitchen in the room and grabbed a glass of water.

Carla was still sleeping so she moved slowly.

Walking out of the kitchen area, she tilted the glass and gulped some of the refreshing liquid before looking at Lucy's bed to check on the older mage.

She was confused however, when there was a mass of pink instead of yellow and walked towards it with eyes still half lidded.

Pulling back the covers, she saw Natsu chuckling softly while whispering, "Luce, you're so soft… especially here.."

The blue haired mage blinked sleepily.

'Oh… it's just Natsu-san'

She placed the blankets back before going back to her bed, placing the glass on a lamp table nearby.

Her sleepy mind was still running.

'It's nice that Natsu-san cares for Lucy-san so much…'

'Eh?'

'W-wait a moment…'

…

"KYAA!" her scream woke up the other mages in the rooms near them.

Dragon Natsu, Slayer Natsu, Gray, Erza and Juvia blasted the door open in a panic as Human Natsu fell from the bed and Lucy walked out of the bathroom in only a towel.

"What's wrong Wendy?!" Carla yelled in worry.

Everyone froze and looked at each other before Slayer Natsu pointed at his human self and yelled loudly, "Hey!"

And then, chaos ensued.
