Amanda groaned, her eyes fluttering open to Olivia's dark bedroom. They adjusted slowly as she stared up at the small amount of light stretched across the ceiling. She wasn't sure why she was awake.

She had been in a very deep, dreamless sleep and she couldn't remember anything specific waking her.

Amanda had just allowed her eyes to drift back shut when a noise from down the hall made them open again. "Liv?" The blonde croaked, lifting her head off of her pillow slightly. The only answer was another loud whimper, followed by a groan.

Setting her jaw, Amanda slowly sat up so that she was supporting her upper body on her forearms. "Olivia!"

This time, she was met only with silence. The blonde exhaled slowly and sat up the rest of the way. She tried her best to ignore the pain that flashed red hot across her ribcage.

Olivia sat up startled as a loud crash came from the hallway leading to her bedroom.

"Amanda?"The brunette asked in a gravelly voice as she threw off the blanket covering her body.

"Finally, she's awake…" She heard the blonde mumble with a pained laugh.

"What are you doing?" Olivia asked as she flicked on the light in the hallway. She fought down the urge to chuckle at the way Amanda was squinting up at her from the floor. It would have been highly amusing under different circumstances. Given the severity of her injuries though, the sight of the younger woman on the floor evoked only fear.

"You sounded like you were dyin', I had to make sure you were okay…" Amanda responded with a sigh, avoiding the older woman's gaze.

"I'm fine, Amanda. And while I appreciate your concern, you really shouldn't have gotten out of bed..." Olivia said, kneeling down next to the blonde. Amanda remained silent but gave a small nod in response. She lifted her arms and wrapped them around the brunette's neck so that Olivia could help her to her feet.

"You're as overheated as I am... Must have been some dream." Amanda joked, trying to hide how much pain she was actually in. It had the opposite effect on Olivia and the brunette's body immediately went rigid. She avoided Amanda's gaze and kept her frown the entire time she was helping the other woman into bed.

"What was it about?" Amanda asked, in a much softer and more serious tone.

"The other night." Olivia replied simply, smoothing out the covers over Amanda's lower legs. "Get some sleep, I'll see you in the morning."

"Liv, wait..." Olivia paused in the doorway and glanced over her shoulder toward the blonde. "Not to be weird... But would you stay in here with me, tonight?" Amanda asked quietly.

Olivia's heart stuttered in her chest and relief flooded her. "It's not weird." She breathed out, flicking out the light before turning back for the bed. She navigated the space between the hallway and her bed easily, used to moving about in the dark space.

Amanda smiled shyly, grateful for the darkness that was now hiding her flushed cheeks. She sat up a little so that Olivia could take one of the pillows from behind her. "I'd rather lay on my side anyway..." She said, turning slowly away from the brunette and onto her left side. "G'night."

"Good night." Olivia whispered back as she slid under the covers with a small smile.

After moving back into her bedroom to share the bed, Olivia had managed to fall into a deep, dreamless sleep. She had been up for a few hours looking over the paperwork she had brought home the night before while starting her caffeine intake for the day.4

The brunette paused in her reading and glanced toward her phone as it vibrated nearby. Fin's name flashed across the screen signalling a new text.

"We're on our way, hope you two are hungry."

Chuckling to herself, Olivia rose from the couch and made her way down the hall to her room.

"Amanda." The blonde groaned and attempted to bury her head deeper into the comforter up by her head. "Amanda, it's time to get up... You're going to have visitors."

The younger woman groaned again, her head turning slightly to peek out from her cocoon.

"Who?" She croaked, her voice still thick with sleep.

"Fin and Ken wanted to stop by and check up on you."

The smile gracing Olivia's lips twitched wider as Amanda's eyes lit up. "When?"

"Fin just texted that they were on their way, so let's get you ready."

Amanda nodded, her excitement fading slightly when she tried to sit up. The blonde hissed through her teeth as a jolt of pain shot through the left side of her ribcage. Olivia helped her sit up the rest of the way before helping out of the warm sheets. The two made their way to the bathroom door, Olivia pausing just outside while the blonde attempted to go on her own.

She managed to sit down without too much difficulty but the pain was too much for her to stand back up without help.

"Thank you..." Amanda mumbled as she hastily pulled up her pants before pivoting for the sink.

"You're welcome. I'm sorry, I think we set you off your schedule a little yesterday with how long I was gone. Your medicine must have completely worn off..." The brunette said, obviously disappointed in herself over the blonde's discomfort.

Amanda looked up from washing her hands and met Olivia's eyes in the mirror, a weak smile tugging at her lips. "Don't worry about it, Liv. You're takin' great care of me. It's fine, I'll just take one with lunch."

The older woman nodded, flashing a weak smile of her own. "Okay, I'll go get out a fresh set of pants and shirt for you while you brush your hair and teeth. See you in a few."

Amanda was grateful for the few minutes of primping, normally it wasn't really her thing but she felt dingy. Sure, she had put on deodorant and had brushed her teeth the night before but it still helped her feel clean and more fresh. She couldn't shower at the moment because of her stitches but she could sit in the tub and have someone carefully bathe her.

She blushed at the thought and glanced toward the door that led into the bedroom as the thought passed through her mind. Yeah, that definitely couldn't happen. Having to get help sitting and standing with the toilet was one thing but even that she doubted Olivia was really looking at her exposed parts. The bathing though, it would be hard to not see anything. Under different circumstances, she wouldn't have minded being so exposed in front of the brunette. But now, under these circumstances, it was not the right time.

And if Fin ever caught wind that had gone down, she would never hear the end of it. He was probably amused by her current living situation to begin with and would most likely pick on her once he knew she was feeling okay. It hadn't taken him long to figure out that she was completely smitten with detective Olivia Benson. Respect and admiration had quickly developed into a full blown crush once she had been in New York for a few months.

Luckily, he hadn't blown her cover so far, so she could probably trust him to keep it that way.

Amanda jumped slightly when a small knock came from just outside the small room.

"You almost done?" Olivia asked, her voice still holding a slightly worried note to it.

Amanda spit what was in her mouth out into the sink before responding, "Yeah, almost. Just gimme a second longer and I'll be out. Thanks." She said hurriedly, glad that the brunette wasn't actually in the room to see her blush.

A minute or so later, Amanda emerged from the bathroom to find Olivia sitting on the edge of the bed. Sitting on the comforter beside her was the back pack that contained all of the clothes they had brought from Amanda's apartment the night she'd been released from the hospital. Most of it was loose fitting, comfortable sleep wear. From the items they'd grabbed, Olivia had selected a Falcons tee shirt and a pair of her favorite sweats as well as a set of boy shorts.

Amanda fidgeted slightly, realizing that she would most likely need help with both her pants and underwear. The shirt she could handle just fine on her own.

Olivia noticed her discomfort and shot her a sympathetic smile, "I'm sorry, at least you'll only have to have help for the first few days..." She said, rising to her feet.

Amanda nodded, trying to much down the feeling of shame and panic that consumed her as she slowly started to lower her underwear with her sweats. Olivia's hands covered her own as she made it to about three quarters down her thighs and she lowered them the rest of the way, her head turned to the side to give Amanda as much privacy as possible. Straightening back up, Olivia placed the sweats on the end of the bed before grabbing the fresh pair of underwear and pants.

She figured if they could do both at once it would get the process over faster for Amanda. The blonde realized what she was thinking and placed a hand firmly on the nearby dresser to steady herself as Olivia knelt down again. The brunette patiently made sure that both of Amanda's feet had gone through the correct holes before guiding them north up the blonde's legs. She looked away again as they rose higher until Amanda could grab them herself.

"Thanks." Amanda mumbled, although the brunette could tell she was genuine.

"You're welcome."

The two stared at each other a moment before a knock at the front door interrupted. Breaking eye contact, Olivia quickly excused herself to go answer the door.

Releasing a relieved sigh, Amanda turned her attention back to the dresser and put on some fresh deodorant and a quick squirt of perfume. Olivia was still hugging Fin when she finally made her way into the foyer.

"Hey there, how are you feeling?" Ken asked, giving her a gentle half hug.

"A little sore." Amanda admitted sheepishly as he pulled away.

"That's an understatement." Olivia said before she could catch herself.

"What do you mean?" Fin asked in a worried tone as he wrapped a careful arm around the younger woman.

"She hasn't had her pill yet today." Olivia answered, shooting Amanda an apologetic look.

"Well, you have to take it with food, right?" Ken asked, flashing her a toothy smile. The blonde nodded and his smile widened. "Good. Let's get this warmed up then and get you fed."

Olivia lead Ken into the kitchen to help him get things set up as Amanda and Fin made their way into the dining room. The table was small, one of them would have to sit at the breakfast bar by the counter instead. Pulling out the chair, Fin gently helped Amanda take her seat.

"Thanks."

"No problem." He said, taking the seat beside her. "Seriously though, how've you been feeling? Liv says that you been sleepin' lot."

"Yeah... I have been." She said, playing with a loose string in the hem of her shirt.

"At least you can catch some shut eye... That's gotta be painful."

"It is."

Fin glanced over the breakfast bar toward where his son and Olivia were still moving around, chatting casually. "The doctor said you'd need some help moving around the first week or so... How's that been."

Amanda could feel her cheeks growing warmer, "Awkward."

"Details girl!" Fin whispered not so quietly as he leaned in, a cheeky grin tugging at his lips.

"She has to help me... Go to the bathroom... And get dressed."

Fin's eyes widened, "Seriously?"

Amanda nodded and smacked him in the meat of his arm, "Yes. Seriously." She hissed back, "Bending hurts like a bitch. She ain't helpin' me wipe, just with my pants and getting up and down..."

"I'm sure you don't need any help gettin' it up..." He joked, earning a sharp glare from the blonde.

"It's not funny! I can't even get a shower, I need an assisted sponge bath."

"Next you're gonna be yellin' for people to stay off your lawn." He said, chuckling loudly. He easily dodged another attempt at a playful swatting when Olivia approached them with dishes in her hands.

"What are you two going on about?" She asked, amusement coloring her features.

"Nothing." Amanda mumbled, crossing her arms over chest carefully and glaring at the floor.

"Yeah, nothin'. You two need any help?" Fin asked, his smile shrinking a little.

"Nah, we've got it. What would you guys like to drink? I'll pass them over the counter for you."

"I'll have some water." Amanda said, relaxing her posture a little and shooting Olivia a small smile.

"Yeah, me too."

Within minutes the table was set and Ken was bringing out a circular glass dish.

"That smells amazing Ken, what did you make?" Amanda asked, breathing in deeply as he set it down in the center of the table.

"Four cheese quiche with bacon, mushrooms and green onion." The younger man said proudly as he took his seat, "And thank you."

The blonde smiled, she felt better despite the fact that she had not taken her pill yet. The people and the good food she was about to enjoy lifting her spirits.

Hey guys! I wanted this chapter to be a little more fun and upbeat than some of the others. Hope you liked it and I am sorry about the delay in updates. I will try to work on this and my other Rolivia stories more soon.
