Adrian (Wedding Plans and Other Crazy Events)

Everything was going great for us, until we got a coll from Lisa four days after our event with Rose.

"Adrian, how dare you not tell me about your engagment?" She demanded using her Queen voice. "And Sydney how did this happen?" That was a question we'd all been asking though.

We put Lissa on speaker phone so that we didn't have to get out of the hot tub and for the sencond reason to keep holding Sydney in my arms. That was a lot of what we spent the most doing, and it was something I was completely fine doing for the rest of our lives.

"Well, we really haven't told anyone," I said kissing Sydney's neck making her giggle.

"We did tell Abe," Sydney replied. I had been surprised that I hadn't or Sydney hadn't heard from Abe either. I didn't know how things with the Alchelmist worked and I was starting to worry. Sydney had told me that was a good thing.

"Who told Rose," Lissa took a deep breath. "Adrian, what did you do to Rose, She hasn't come out of her room in four days. She won't talk to Dimitri about their wedding that is in five days." I didn't know what I did that would lead to this. If I had I wouldn't have done it, but just as Sydney had said it hand't been me.

"It was spirits." Sydney said. "Rose was going to slap him and well I steped between them and she slapped me, which angered Adrian. It only got worse when he noticed she'd drawn blood," Sydney left out what exactly I had done, which I thanked her for because it still hunted my dreams and Sydney knew that.

"Oh..." I heard Christian in the background which helped end the conversation." Well we have a ball in a few hours so, I should go. I'm happy you guys are happy. Just make sure I get a wedding invatation." She said and hung up. Things in the Queen's Court was a bit insane. I was glad we were here.

Days passed as everything seemed okay, until Abe called as Sydney and I were working on planning our wedding. Sydney was looking at flower arrangments as we listened togetehr to our band options.

I answered the phone reluctently, "Hello, Abe." I said coldly, maybe even too cold. I couldn't help it, after him telling Rose, I hoped to god we never would hear from him again, but I wasn't that lucky.

"You and Sydney need to go." His voice was intense and I knew he was worried for both of use. "Somewhere in the mountains. Sydney should know where most of the Keepers areas are in this area, you guys need to say away from the Keepers."

"Why? Abe what's going on?" I looked at Sydney who was smiling still flipping through the flower arrangements.

"The Alchelmist's heard about the wedding, they want to take Sydney." Abe said. "We'll figure out something once you're both safe. I started working on a plan. It will work but they are on there way, you guys need to leave now. Carlos is outside with the limo. Quickly grab your clothes and leave." That was all he said before he hung up. I quickly grabed the bags of colthes, grabbed a dress and some under garmets for Sydney and gave them to her.

"What's..." She started before she put her bra on and my heart sank. I was going to miss this simpleness. Life had been normal, to good to be true though. Sydney looked fantastic in the dress, it was a cocktail dress that was a very light blue and strapless.

I quickly got dressed. It took us only five minutes to be int he limo. Inside the limo was hair dye with sydney's name on it, along with two phones and a note. I picked up the not and sat down wrapping my arm around Sydney and opened the note.

Sydney and Adrian,

I'm sorry this has happened but I had a plan just incase this happened. You'll spend a week camping then move to one of my cabins. They are large, and everytime the Alchlelmist come close to finding you you'll go camping for a week and move to a new cabin.

This is going to be your life from now on forever. Though the cabins won't be easy to find and no one knows but the driver, but he's compelled. You'll be safe.

As for the wedding it has to be small and only with those we trust. I have a place to have it. The rest is for you to decide. And once Sydney changes her last name they won't be able to trace anything. You'll become part of the witness protection, both of you. Even with their power, the Alchelmist can't touch you.

Sydney until the wedding you need to keep dying your hair. This is what I think is best. I have already had someone clean your hotel room. And no one there knows who you are Lissa helped with that. Rose got rid of all records of your stay so they will think its a false tip.

I continued to stare at the note, I was in shock I didn't know what to do or say this wasn't how this was supposed to be. Life was supposed to be good, like it had been. Not this, not us being ont the run, that's not what I wanted. But this is what I got. I couldn't change that.

It seemed like the logest drive in the world. Sydney and I didn't say anything, because really what was there to say. Our lives were changing forever and there wasn't a single thing either of us could do to chang that.
