"So you're new here, huh?" Flynn asked, as he ate his lunch along with Dust. They were sitting on a bench away from the all the other children on the playground.

"Yeah. My parents moved around here three years before I was born." Dust replied before taking a bite from her baloney and cheese sandwich.

"Where do you live?"

"In a really cold place called the Ice Kingdom. It's really chilly there, but you get used to it, and there's some really cool creatures over there too."

"Really? My parents told me two really mean people called the Ice Queen and a lunatic wizard live there."

"Well, I've never heard of them," Dust lied, and decided to change the subject. "But both my parents can use magic."

"Really? What kind of magic?"

"Well...actually I forgot what it's called. Sorry. They're really big words."

"Nah, it's okay. I don't like big words either. But your parents seem cool."

"Thanks. But your parents are cooler. Your daddy is Finn Mertens, the Legendary Human Hero of Ooo who is basically the heir of Billy. And your mommy is Marceline the Vampire Queen. And isn't your sister supposed to be heir to that Nightosphere place after your grandad, the Lord of Evil?"

Flynn swallowed his egg sandwich and took a sip of his apple juice, frowning. "Weird. What the heck! My mommy and daddy never told me about Winter being the heir after my Grandpa Hunson. Hmph. I'm gonna talk to them after school."

"Oh. Sorry. I thought you knew."

Flynn blew a raspberry. "It's okay. You didn't know. And I guess that doesn't really matter anyway."

Flynn and Dust had their lunch in silence after that. After they finished, Flynn suggested they go play with the other kids at the playground.

"Sure," Dust said. "But, if it's okay with your parents, you wanna come over today after school."

Flynn's expression brightened. "Yeah!"

Dust smiled.

However, after school ended, and Finn came to pick up Flynn, he couldn't go since Winter was at their house and wanted to talk to Flynn, but said maybe after their done he could go.

"Sorry, Dust. I might see you later, though. Bye." Flynn waved at her as he got in the car.

"Bye, Flynn..." Dust waved back as they drove off.

Flynn sighed, looking down at his lap. In the inside, he felt so strange around Dust...

"So I see you made a new friend, Flynn." Finn stated, but Flynn remained silent.

"Flynn?"

"..."

"Flynn? Flynn? Flynn...!"

"...Wake up...!

...

"...Flynn...!"

...

"Flynn...! Wake up! Flynn! FLYNN! WAKE UP!"

Flynn bolted up in shock on a couch, his face and his shirt drenched in cold water.

"Flynn/Uncle Flynn! You're alive!" Quinn, Janette, Kit and Football hugged Flynn in relief.

"Ugh...what happened?"" Flynn asked, laying back down on the couch, feeling tired, numb and suffering from a small headache.

"Well, we made it back here, leaving Mr. Tawinkybeeks outside and went to Kit. She checked for any injuries, but he was fine, just a little tired. Gave him some time to rest and then he went off." Football explained.

"We were planning to wait for you to come back and then take the kids back to their parents. But you came back here in poor condition, sweating, pale skin, then you threw up and passed out. I put an icepack on your forehead as we got you on couch. You didn't need any actual medicine, but I gave you some tea mixed with honey just in case. You've been unconscious for almost six hours." answered Kit. "Now, care to explain what happened?

Flynn sighed. "Well, if I'm going to, I'll need you to call my parents, my sister's family, your parents, Uncle Jake's family, Ken and Rose's family (changed Simon and Betty's children's names because they're previous names were retarded. I suck at thinking of names)

"Why all of them?" questioned Football.

"This is serious," Flynn's tone darkened, and his eyes were dull, but filled with hurt, guilt and fury. "Call all of them, and if not all of them can make it, then schedule the meeting some other time."

"Schedule? Meeting?" Football repeated in confusion. "Dude, what is going on?"

"Just do it!" Flynn snapped at him. "We don't have much time."

Quinn, Janette, Kit and Football were alarmed and startled by Flynn's sudden change in behavior and mood, but did what he said anyway.

About 30 minutes later, Football and Kit had called all Flynn told them to, but not all of them could make it.

"Screw it, we'll try again another time then." Flynn stated.

"Everyone's really confused, man. Are you sure you don't wanna talk about it? I mean, is whatever happened so important you can't tell us until everyone we know is with us and also knows at the same time?" Football said.

Flynn groaned. "I guess you're right. Okay, fine, I'll tell you."

Flynn informed them of what happened when he got there, Ash and Simone being imprisoned, saying that Dust had given into their ways after he ran away, but some of her was still good, Dust willingly telling him of her plan to gain dominance over Ooo. He also told them about Dust summoning evil creatures from a Shadow Realm to kill her own parents, which Football and Kit covered Quinn and Jane's ears during that. Flynn told them what Dust said when Flynn ran away and how that affected her.

By the time he was done, the four were in utter shock. They never realized Dust would be so torn from Flynn's departure, and Football and Kit couldn't believe what Dust had done to her own parents.

"We need everyone we can to fight against Dust and the ones she'll be fighting with. We may even need the ones we know in Aaa. They could try to get there can takeover their land too, due to their 'all-wise knowing magic crap' and teleporting abilities."

"Wait...if they're able to teleport between dimensions...then...couldn't they have already gotten to Aaa?" Kit asked.

Flynn's eyes widened, realizing that Kit had just said could be true. "Holy crap, you're right! I gotta get to Aaa see if they did or not!"

"You can't!" Football protested. "If they did already get there, you can't take them on by yourself! And also, you literally can't since after all the adults discovered you ran away to Aaa, Ken and Rose's Mom and Dad hid the teleporter. Only they know where it is."

"DAMN IT!" Flynn pounded his fist on the table in frustration, creating a crack on surface and not realizing he just cursed in front of his young niece and nephew.

Kit gasped. "Flynn!"

Flynn sighed, calming down. "I'm sorry, Jane and Quinn. That was inappropriate of me. I'm just really frustrated, that's all."

Janette and Quinn cracked small smiles. "It's okay, Uncle Flynn." Janette stated.

"Yeah. We hear Mom and Dad screaming curse words in their bedroom at night sometimes." Quinn added.

Awkward silence occupied the room after Quinn's statement. Kit had her hand over her mouth, slightly blushing.

Football whistled, breaking the silence. "Winter and Scott should probably get soundproof walls around their bedroom," he whispered to Flynn.

"Shut the hell up, Football." Flynn said, face-palming, embarrassed at his sister and her husband's careless actions.

"Flynn!" Kit exclaimed.

"That's not even a cuss word!"

"You still shouldn't say it like that in a sentence in front of them,"

"Uh, guys?" Football butt in on their argument. "Shouldn't we get back to the situation at hand here?"

Flynn nodded. " Kit, you bring Quinn and Jane back home. Football and I will try to find the teleporter that Uncle Simon and Aunt Betty hid. We'll bring equipment and magic potions and stuff if we do find it and manage to get to Aaa just in case Dust and her evil wizard friends are there. We'll bring some back up, too. Meanwhile, Kit you need to attempt to gather everyone we know in one place to tell them what I told you."

"How am I supposed to do that?" asked Kit.

"Think of something," Flynn said as he and Football, who grabbed his assassin equipment, opened the door to leave.

"Wait. But we wanna help too!" Janette said, and Quinn nodded in agreement.

"You wanna help? Stay in your house, with your family where you'll be safe." Flynn stated, before closing the door.

"Well that was a little harsh, Flynn." Football said as he and Flynn ran out of the Evil Forest towards the Candy Kingdom across the Grasslands.

"It was for the best. They're just kids. I don't want them wasting their life on trying to help us with something to extreme and dangerous for them. Especially when they have nothing to do with it."

"So what, you're underestimating your sister and Scott's children?"

"No, it's just-"

"Flynn. You were just five when you thought of teleporting yourself to another dimension in order to run away from home. Even with friends there, you basically grew up by yourself, fended for yourself there in that tree house."

"I know...but...I was stupid back then. I was blinded by anger and other mixed emotions and it was just...ugh, whatever. It kinda did suck."

"Yeah, but it made you stronger. Helped you survive out there by yourself. Practically made you what you are today. I'm not saying that running away was a good choice, but it did have some benefits that paid off once you got older."

"True..."

"This could be their chance, Flynn. They were told some stories of you, of how you wanted to become a hero, and helped others. They looked up to you. Even more now than before. I'm not saying they should runaway, or go into battle recklessly and get themselves killed, but at least help in some ways that will make them more confident about themselves;to be stronger."

"Okay, okay, I get it. Enough of the lecture."

"Just saying,"

"Whatever. Thanks, though, Football. You're right. You always know what to say, dude."

"That's just my thang, brother."

The two laughed as they continued running to the Candy Kingdom, preparing to begin one of the biggest missions of their lives.

I know a lot of people are confused about how Marceline gave birth to Flynn in under 24 hours and that will be explained in the next chapter.
