1 – Introduction

"In your hand, take this key.

So long as you have the makings,

Then through this simple act of taking…

It's wielder you will one day be.

And you will find me friend –

No ocean will contain you then.

No more borders around or below or above,

So long as you champion the ones you love."

Riku looked at the key in fascination and took hold of the handle. Until Sora called his name did he let it go… but he still felt something. That key emanated with a… power of sorts, but he couldn't tell what.

"You have to keep this a secret. Otherwise the magic will wear off."

And so he did. Even when Sora badgered him, he kept the key secret.

A/N: I have completed this challenge already, so I'll try to keep updates as regular as possible. :) I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it.
