This is for all nerds out there who would teach their children this... I'm not sure if the British military actually works like this... Enjoy!
Oh... do not own.
Siger Holmes chatted amiably with yet another High Ranking military figure, this time a Brigadier Pickens, who was yet another attempt for the military for private funding. He started to pour the glasses with brandy, when both his pride and his joy wandered in.
"Father, Sherlock was wanting to learn something 'not dull' tomorrow. I was slightly curious as to what would be taught, and was wondering if I could watch should it prove to be entertaining."
"G'way Mycroft, no one wants you here."
Siger put his hands over his face. This was yet another disaster in the making. "I'll see if I can find something else Sherlock. Mycroft, I'm sure it won't be. Now. I'm in the middle of an important conversation, so if this could wait until the mor-"
"Wait one moment, Mr. Holmes. May I speak to your sons?" interrupted Pickens. "Hello boys. Have you been learning anything interesting lately?"
"Nothing of note I'm afraid, but Sherlock has been learning the Binary counting system."
"Such wonderfully smart boys. How old are you?"
"Eleven. Sher-"
"He can answer for himself, I'm sure Mycroft." Siger interjected.
Sherlock looked up for the first time at the Brigadier since entering the room. Eerie silver-green eyes peaked out behind dark curls. For one uncomfortable moment he stared at the man. Then he put his left hand up, middle finger raised. Mycroft's mouth twitched before he bit his lip, Pickens' face a thundercloud, and Siger slapped his hand to his forehead.
"WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU TEACHING YOUR CHILDREN?"
Before the man could get anything else out, Siger rushed to reassure him. "He's been learning to count the binary system with his fingers today, Sherlock is telling you he's four."
"Of course I am. Father, why are you still talking to idiots?"
"You're not helping your case Sherlock."
"Shut up Mycroft."
