SPOILER!SPOILER!SPOILER FOR THE MARK OF ATHENA! I AM WARNING YOU!
Just a little happy/sad one-shot I thought should have been included in MoA
Percy felt like he had forgotten something.
Sure, he had been picked up from the Roman Camp, after having to leave abruptly because of Leo, but he still felt there was something missing.
He had been sitting in his cabin at the Argo II for a while now, with the Praetor toga still on, and just trying to think. Of course, he couldn't.
Suddenly, there was a knock at his door.
"Seaweed Brain? You better be there! I'm coming in, Percy."
Naturally, Annabeth had come.
"Hey, Wise Girl, need anything?" he asked, still looking at the floor.
Annabeth bit her lip "You didn't forget to Iris Message Camp Half-Blood, did you?"
Percy jumped "Of course! That was it! Thank you Annabeth!" he hugged her and danced around with her.
"Hold on, Percy, have you been drinking coffee lately?" she asked, concern in his voice
Percy kissed her "Nope, just happy to be back, if you'll excuse me, I have to Iris Message some people."
And he went out of the room.
Annabeth giggled, something very unusual in her, and touched her lips with her fingers, it had been some really long eight months.
Percy took one drachma and tossed it into the boat's Iris Message Place (as Leo liked calling it), he then said:
"Oh Fleecy, do me a solid, show me Camp Half-Blood, the dining table."
Instantly, the image shimmered and Percy could see everyone eating, the satyrs all around the place, and Chiron standing there, giving a speech.
The somebody –Rachel– yelled "Percy!"
Everybody turned to see the demigod in the Iris Message, and a few people started crying. Rachel was glowing with happiness, and Connor and Travis Stoll were grinning "Hullo, Perce"
"WE MISSED YOU!" shouted the whole camp
Percy was almost in tears now, it had been long since he had been there… "I missed you too, guys, we're in the Argo II"
"What did Annie do to you?" shouted Clarisse from the Ares table
Percy laughed "Well… let's not get into details, okay?"
The whole camp laughed, and Malcolm from the Athena table shook his head.
"Well, I'm gonna have to go now, guys"
They nodded. They knew quests.
"The Roman Camp is in the way, they'll attack you"
Again, they nodded, a new kid said "We'll make them regret coming here!"
Some people laughed.
"We'll be back" Percy said.
The Camp nodded again, and Rachel smiled.
A WEEK LATER.
Piper was choking, she couldn't do it.
Jason put an arm around her, "Common, Pipes, they deserve to know"
Piper sobbed, then nodded, "Oh, Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, show me Camp Half-Blood" she said as she threw a drachma to the IMP (Iris Message Place).
The whole camp could be seen, they looked ready for war.
Then Rachel spotted the Iris Message from a bit far away "Guys! It's Piper!"
Lacy and Michael were the first to look, then the entire camp.
"Piper!" smiled Lacy, then her smile vanished as she saw Piper sobbing "What-what happened?"
You could feel the camp's anxiety, even from an Iris Message.
"Annabeth and Percy –" her voice broke
Rachel gasped and put a hand over her mouth, "No!"
Jason took charge "They're not dead" he paused, and all of their breaths were caught "they fell into Tartarus."
When he said that, all of the Camp was silent, and Jason and Piper broke the silence by crying.
Rachel soon joined in, and in seconds all of the camp was too.
They had lost brave ones today.
In Tartarus.
Percy coughed, and grabbed Annabeth's hand "Are we ever getting out of this place?"
Annabeth let a tear fall onto her cheeks "We have to. For the people we love"
Percy nodded and, together, they kept looking for an exit.
A/N: Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! It's so sad that they're in Tartarus! At least they are together.
