Kindness ch. 13

Naruto groaned a little bit for being woken up by the sunlight that was creeping through the blinds of his window. He has a really bad headache and was really tired. It was a really bad idea to take all that eggnog from Gaara because Naruto was regretting it now. He was never drinking alcohol ever again if this was the aftereffects of it.

It left a horrible aftertaste in his mouth and it tasted like he has a bunch of cotton balls in his mouth. Naruto sits up and walks towards to the kitchen to get a glass of water. He walks into the kitchen to find Hinata cooking. Naruto raised an eyebrow why she was here; not that he didn't want her here but was wondering why.

Hinata noticed Naruto and smiles at him. He blushes a little bit before smiling back. She walks over towards him and kisses him. Naruto kisses her back and wraps his arms around her waist.

"Morning sleepyhead, how did you sleep?" Hinata asked curious.

"I slept okay but I wished that the sun wouldn't have woken me though. How did you get here?" Naruto asked raising an eyebrow.

"You asked me to stay last night since you got pretty drunk last night" Hinata said turning off the stove.

"D-Did we? D-Did we do a-anything l-last night?" Naruto asked nervously.

"Don't worry, I was completely sober and I wouldn't take advantage of you like that" Hinata said winking at him.

Naruto was relieved. He likes Hinata and wanted to get to know her before having sex. Hinata sat two plates of eggs, bacon and toast on the table. Naruto sat across from Hinata and started eating. He wasn't used to people cooking for him but it was a nice change of pace and Hinata is a pretty good cook. Any guy would be lucky to have her and Naruto definitely felt lucky.

His life has changed for the better and it was looking up. He has a place to stay, a job of take care of himself and Kimi, and a beautiful girlfriend that likes him for him. How can it get any better? After they finished eating, Hinata drove Naruto to pick up Kimi. Kimi had Hanabi hogged-tied and gagged in the closet while she was watching SpongeBob Squarepants on TV.

Naruto tried to laughed and was failing miserably. Her was wondering how she managed to do that to Hanabi but some questions are better left unanswered.

"Hey Hinata, can you keep Kimi for a little bit longer while I run a errand right quick?" Naruto asked curious.

"Sure, I can good on my promise for leaving her with Hanabi" HInata said smiling.

"Thanks, I'll be back soon" Naruto said kissing her on the cheek.

He left to settle something with a certain redhead. He walked all the way to Gaara's house and knocked on the front door. The door opens to a very sleepy Kankuro who was only wearing a tanktop and boxers.

"What are you doing here, Naruto?" Kankuro asked rubbing the sleep out of hos eyes.

"I need to talk to Gaara. It's only for a second" Naruto said serious.

Kankuro nodded and Naruto followed him inside. He leads Naruto towards Gaara's office before going back up the stairs. Naruto knocked on the door and answered with a muffled 'come in'. He walked in to see Gaara sitting in a desk chair, looking at some papers. The redhead looked up at the blonde and smiled at him with a cocky smile.

"Hello Naruto-san, you look tired" Gaara said with fake concern.

"Gaara, please cut the crap. I know that you purposely got me drunk last night and I know that you don't like me. What did I do to upset you?" Naruto asked frowning.

"You're in my way. Hinata-chan should be with me, not you. I love her more than you do" Gaara said glaring at Naruto.

"Hinata-chan isn't a object. She's a person with feelings and ideas. If she wanted to be with you than she would be with you. If you were really her friend as she tells me you are than you should support her in whatever decision she makes. Don't you dare ever question my love for her! I care deeply for her" Naruto said glaring at Gaara.

Gaara was stunned. Naruto were sinking into his head and cutting deep. He wasn't acting like a good friend to Hinata with the way he was acting. He was disgusted with himself and he doesn't deserve to be with Hinata. She deserves better than him and she found it in Naruto. Gaara sighed and got out of his chair. He stood in front of Naruto and held out his hand. Naruto stared at Gaara in confusion.

"I'm sorry Naruto-san for the way that I have been acting towards you. Hinata-chan has make the right decision in choosing you and I will try to be a better friend to her. Please take care of her for me" Gaara said still holding out his hand.

Naruto smiled a little and shook Gaara's hand. He was glad that his word have gotten through to him.

"I'll protect her with my life" Naruto said grinning.
