"I see, you're not as strong as I imagined you to be Potter"

"Honestly…Im quite disappointed. But never mind, that wouldn't matter by the time your-" A pause "dead". A sly grin was heard and everything went dark and blurry. Just that grin was left, slowly fading away into oblivion. Even in the dark, the teeth looked carnivorous with strong intentions to kill, to tear, and to devour.

"Harry?..." With nothing but darkness to look at, I heard very slight muffled noises, becoming clearer and clearer.

"Do you think he's awake"

"I don't kn-"

"Out of the way yer little buggers! Let me 'andle this." – wait I know this voice

"HAAARRRY! Wake up boy!"

I jerked open my eyes as if it was a reflex action and a strong current passed through my spine all the way to the tip of my toes.

"YES"

"Thank god you're awake!"

Around me were Ron, Hagrid and the same girl from the train. I was in some sort of infirmary.

"W-where am I?" I asked barely recognizing my voice.

"This is the Hogwarts infirmary 'arry. When you reached we had to get you here immediately"

"Also, you sort of missed the um.."

"The what, Ron?"

"The sorting hat ceremony."

"But don't worry, one of the teachers told me to take you to her as soon as you we conscious and well" Ron said reassuringly.

"Which house did you get into then?"

"Hermione and I both got into Gryffindor!"

"Hermione?"

A girl spoke up from the corner of my eye, the one from the train incident.

"I'm Hermione, Hermione Granger. I already know you Harry Potter" she said with a smile.

I replied with a poker face and then a smile.

Before I could get up I realized I couldn't see Jack.

"Jack!

"Who's Jack?"

"Oh, um no one.." I couldn't tell them about jack, they wouldn't even believe me.

"Ron, its almost time for our first class. We have to leave!"

"Alright Harry, we'll see you in a bit! Get well soon" Ron said as he walked out of the high ceilinged room.

I was frustrated by the fact that I couldn't make it to the sorting ceremony, and further worried because Jack was missing!

JACK'S POV

A room filled with old antique pieces of furniture and paintings on the wall was where I woke up. There was a small staircase in front of me with a bright orange bird sitting on a wooden perch next to it. It was staring right at me.

'Can all animals see me?' I pondered when suddenly an old bearded man came up behind me.

"His name is Fawkes, he's a phoenix. Interesting little creatures they are."

I looked around for anyone else in the room, but I soon realized that he was talking to me.

"You can see me too?"

"Of course I can" He said arching his head forward and looking at me through his half moon glasses.

"Then why can't everyone else here see me too? They're also magical like you right?"

"For how long you've lived, you have an awful lot of curiosity" he said smiling down at me.

For a moment there was silence, and then it hit me. Harry was missing!

"Where's Harry!"

"Oh don't worry now Jackson Overland Frost, Harry is in a safe place being nursed back to health."

"C-can I see him? Also where am I?"

"You are in the office of the headmaster of Hogwarts, that is me. I would love to tell you more but now is not the time."

The doors closed behind Dumbledore and jack as they started talking further.

Harry felt better by the next morning and was ready to get sorted into his new house.

HARRY'S POV

"Alright harry, remember to take this syrup for the next three days, and do not, at any cost eat black licorice for a week at least." The nurse mentioned before letting me go.

"Thank you nurse Pomfrey. Ill be going now"

I closed the door behind me and saw my first glimpse at Hogwarts. It was like a medieval castle of some sort, but it felt oddly like home.

"Harry!"

I looked towards the voice and spotted Ron and Hermione at the far end of the corridor.

I walked to them as they did the same.

"Are you feeling better mate?"

"Yes, I'm better thanks" I smiled at them

"Come on, we've got to get you to the headmasters office"

"Why?"

"To get you sorted of course!"

We all ran corner to corner until we reached a large stature of an eagle that was placed inside the wall itself.

"Where is it then" Ron asked breathing heavily.

"You're supposed to stand inside the eagle until a staircase appears. Honestly Ron haven't you read the books?"

"We have books?"

"Hogwarts a History" Hermione said staring at Ron.

"Go on Harry, we'll wait" Ron said as I walked on the space below the statue.

Slowly, the stone floor transformed into a spiral staircase. I stepped on one of the platforms and waited to reach the top.

In a few seconds I could no longer see my friends and instead found myself in a room with a vast number of portraits of moving people, with tables and chairs covered in silver objects. It was all too magical.

And then I almost jumped when something or someone flew right up in my face.

"HARRY!"

It was none other than my best friend Jack.

"Jack!" I said grinning from ear to ear.

"Ah, Harry Potter. I wondered when I'd be seeing you." A calm and pleasant voice approached down another spiral staircase.

Across the room he had silver hair with a beard going down all the way to his belt. He wore a robe, which I often saw people wear in Diagon alley.

"That's Dumbledore, he's the headmaster." Jack whispered in my ear as he stepped aside.

I gulped as he approached. Even though he gave an aura of serenity, he seemed like a powerful man, not to be meddled with.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: AHH finally I did something. I got a story in my head so hopefully it's as good as I think of it. If you liked it, please do review it! I need to know your opinion on it!
