"Dammit, that was a waste."

James raised an eyebrow as his normally composed friend flung himself onto the bench opposite him in the Great Hall with a huff. Remus started talking again as he took a gulp of pumpkin juice. "It was freaking cold, which I was fine with, but the moon made it too bright to see the stars, even in Sirius."

Pumpkin juice spluttered across the table as James coughed. "Dammit Remus! …wait. You were… IN Sirius?" He waggled his eyebrows for effect, although the other teen didn't notice it.

Remus frowned as he dished up breakfast. "Right. Well, not in Sirius proper. More like half way."

James burst into laughter at this and managed to gasp out "You… in.. half way? How was it only in half way?!"

"A…are we talking about two different things here?" Remus looked up, baffled at his friend's reaction.

"You were IN SIrius, not many different ways for that to go, mate." James snickered as Remus finally seemed to understand the source of his mirth. He wasn't prepared for the buttered toast that smacked him in the face shortly after.

"Studying for the Astronomy test on the Sirius star cluster, you git! Merlin, but you've got a preverted bunch of fluff in that thing you call your mind!"
