A/N: Because I love Itachi and Sasuke. :) Really short drabble.
Brothers till death and beyond
We are unique brothers, you and I, and I will always be there for you, even if you do hate me.
The Mangekyo sharingan. Free from the bandages, Sasuke could feel new warmth behind his lids that bespoke the latent power of the Amaterasu and Susanoo that Itachi had used with deadly effect during their fight. They were Itachi's legacy, a part of himself that he had left for his brother. Sasuke knew why.
He slowly walked out of the cave, eyes closed, using the walls as a guide.
Forgive me, Sasuke. There won't be a next time.
He could feel the gradual lightening in his surroundings as the mouth of the cave yawned ahead. Finally emerging from the shadows, Sasuke felt the wind on his cheeks, warm in the summer day. He stopped walking, eyes still closed. One hand rose of its own accord, two fingers coming to rest lightly on his forehead. He could pretend, for a moment.

Sasuke slowly opened his eyes, the sun warm on his lids. The world through his brother's eyes— it was so bright, so clean. He saw the deep blue of the sky; caught the glare of the noon light. The green leaves were rustling gently in the wind, and as Sasuke ran a hand over the cracks and sandy texture of the rocks surrounding the cave, they felt exactly as rough as his new eyes had perceived.
"Sasuke, it's time to go."
Turning towards the figure half- hidden in the shadowy jaws of the cave, he nodded, those new eyes hardened in grim resolve. He could not share Itachi's vision, not when the pain of losing him overrode all other desires. Sasuke returned to the cave and was soon swallowed by the darkness.
