Killian impatiently stood by the undecorated Christmas tree, his facial features unmoved despite the way the words "why does Christmas exist" was painted on his face. Apparently, people decorate trees during Christmas which he finds quite useless.
"I just don't get it. It's stupid." He sighed as he grabbed the Christmas ball that Aurora was handing him. "Why would you hang plastic round things on a tree? It's just... useless."
"It's fun. And stop complaining, grinch. Focus on the tree and the placement of the decors. I want the tree to look beautiful." Aurora's lips curved into a smile and at that moment that Killian knew why he had agreed to decorate her tree.
"Painting the tree would've been easier." He huffed as he continued to hang a variety of Christmas balls. There was nothing fun about decorating the tree. For him, it was just get the Christmas ball from Aurora and hang it on the tree. No fun in that.
Which is why his reaction in getting a small plant with three red berries instead of his usual round object baffled him.
He looked at Aurora, his eyebrows furrowed. "Why would you put a plant on a tree? I thought hanging rounded things was ridiculous but this is ju-"
He wasn't even able to finish his sentence when Aurora had cupped his face in her hands and crashed her lips against his. Killian Jones didn't know what he did to make her kiss him but he made a mental note so he could make her do the same thing again.
She broke the kiss a few moments later, her smile was so triumphant. "Mistletoe. That's what this plant is called." Aurora took the mistletoe out of his hand and grinned at him. "If two people stand under a mistletoe, they'd have to kiss. It's a silly Christmas custom."
Killian stood still by the Christmas tree, still processing the events that had happened. He looked at the Christmas tree which actually looked quite good.
"Maybe we should put more of that mistletoe instead of Christmas balls."
