Chapter 3: Old Enemy's!

As Starfire flew towards the location of the abnormal electrical power source, many of the citizens of that fair city were surprised to see a faint figure following next to her. The figure was too high up to make out anything particularly distinctive about it but they knew that it wasn't one of the titans.

"How much father until we get there, Static?" Starfire ask, Static pointed to the building ahead of them.

"That the place." Static said as they came up to a building call the Sorben Institute, however much to Starfire's dismay the building was a wreck confirming Robin's earlier suspicion, someone had been trying to get them to turn a blind eye to this place. The two landed in front of the place and a nodded before heading in.

"Whatever happen to his place?" Static gasp at looking at the ruined building as the two-step through the front door, everything was a mass and look like the place been ran sack by a hurricane, both had their hand's glowing as they slowly made their way into the building.

"The power surge seem to be coming from this way." Static said pointing to a hall way on his left, Starfire nodded and they began their walk to their target.

"So, friend Static. How long have you known Robin?" Starfire ask trying to start a conversion.

"A little over two years, when I heard he left Batman and he made his own the team, the Titans I was surprise. I've wanted to stop by and check you guys out but never really had the time." Static said leading the way while using his power to light up the hallway. Starfire noted that this was a little before the Titans were form.

"I see, it odd though he never mention you... you two seem like you were, close." Starfire stated and Static chuckle at hearing that.

"Really? I mean sure when Batman was busy we hung out and take down so baddies together ever now and then but I never thought of us as close." Static remark though Star found her self disagreeing with this statement, she saw the way Robin's face lite up when they found Static waiting for him. Robin was happy to see his old friend whether Static knew it or not.

"Well I for one look forward to working with you new friend Static." Starfire said sending him a flirtatious smile making Static a little hot under the collar.

"Umm yeah, same here and... and did you get closer?" Static blink in surprise at seeing the girl was so close to the point she was holding his arm without him realizing it... this was quickly becoming a running gag.

Else where

Racing down the road in the T-car Raven 'the only one who Cyborg allow to drive it' who was giving a ride to Jinx and Beast Boy, the latter look outside to see Robin keeping up on his R-cycle with Kid Flash running along side them as they made their way to the Jump City power plant.

"Yo Robin, I know he your old friend and all but you sure it okay for us to leave Starfire with the new guy?" Kid yell over the G force he was creating to the boy Wonder, Jinx heard this and pull out her T communicator.

"No need to worry, Star can take care of herself." Jinx said as Robin agree (Not what I was getting at...) Kid Flash thought with a sweat drop, unlike the others he saw the way Starfire was looking at Static and it was a look he knew all to well.

"Yeah and I know what Static's cable of, they'll be fine. Let just worry about getting the power plant back online." Robin told them as they near the plant and saw explosions going off nearby.

"Look like we better hurry!" Raven mutter speeding up. 'SWOSH!' suddenly a flash of light caught her attention and everyone gasp when they look at the right and saw a huge bolt of lighting heading their way.

"Look out!" Robin yell as he, Kid Flash, and Raven speed forward to dodge the blast and coming to a stop as three other landed nearby.

"Jack ass! If anything happens to this thing I'll never hear the end of it from Cyborg!" Raven growl staring at Gizmo who she guess was the one who attack them with the large energy cannon on his back, Mammoth jump down next to him with See-More on his back.

"Okay guys, why don't you grow some brain's cells for once and surrender, there by voiding getting your butts getting kick." Jinx said with a bore tone getting out of the car with Raven and Beast Boy. Mammoth and Gizmo glare at Jinx.

"Looks who all full of herself now that she with the Titans." Gizmo snarled.

"Yeah, I still can't believe you left us to join the goody too shoe's!" Mammoth growl causing Jinx to smirk at her old teammates while looking at her nail's.

"Yeah so, a girl got to keep her options open. That and not going to jail every other day been pretty good so far, by the way how the old slammer doing nowadays." Jinx ask with a grin as she knew they were just in there recently, this had the effect of ticking them.

"Oh that it, your so dead!" Mammoth roar rushing at Jinx with Kid flash and Beast Boy standing in the way as Raven groan.

"And here we go again."

"This should be the place..." Static said as he and Starfire stood in front of a set of double doors, he could feel the power surge was inside and it was giving him a headache.

"Are you alright friend Static?" Starfire ask worry when he grab his head in pain.

"Yeah, it just being this close is giving me a bit of a migraine... I'll manage through it." Static said trying to put her at ease and place a hand on the door then throw them open.

"All right, show time!" Static said pushing the doors open and enter with Starfire, both were on guard at seeing the mess the room was in. Smash up computer systems was everywhere, destroy equipment was all over the floor and there were also several small fires that if left along could leave to some thing bad. "Are we too late?"

"Seems like it, but hopefully no one got hurt. For now let's-" Static was cut off when he notice a flash off to the side both he and Starfire only had a second to jump out-of-the-way of a red energy blast!

"What the hell?" Static power up his hands with electricity's but then saw a girl floating in the air smirking down at then with duffel bag on her shoulder and was wearing a black outfit that mirror Starfire but where Starfire left skin to show this girl had silver armor over it, she also had black hair making her look like an evil Starfire, Static turn to ask if she knew her but didn't need to as the growling Starfire was making at seeing her evil counter pretty much answer for him.

"Blackfire... what are you doing?" Starfire demand, Black smirk down at her little sister.

"Well this is a surprise, when was the last time we mat? Oh yeah it was when you came to visit me in the slammer to throw a hisses fit for my little prank, by the way did you ever find our little brother?" Blackfire grin at the look on fury on her face.

"Do not test my patience sister dear!" Starfire roar blasting a green energy blast at her, Blackfire dodge while laughing menacingly as Starfire came after her, Static for his part wasn't sure if he should help or not. While he did want to help he remember the last either he or Gear got in the way of a fight between She Bang and Madelyn who had gain a rather dark rivalry with each other... he somehow thought this might just be the same and like before it was best to just let them duke it out and only step in if Starfire looks like she was in trouble.

"Come on Sister dear, can't you do better than this!?" Blackfire cackle punching her in the face, Starfire stagger in the air for a moment then rush back at her, "Well then, how... THIS!" Starfire shouted kicking her in the jaw sending Blackfire crashing into the ground at that point Static notice someone he hadn't seen in a while behind Starfire.

"Wrong move, bitch!" someone yell and Starfire turn around just to see a guy with red hair behind her holding a huge fire-ball, Starfire's eye's widen when he throw it at her, the attack seemingly made contact and exploded but then the dust clear the man was surprise to see an electric energy field around Starfire with a jagged line connect to someone down below he knew all two well.

"Static!" he growl at his old nemesis who glare at him back just as displease to see his fellow Bang Baby.

"Sup Hotstreak, where you been." Static said unhappy about seeing him there and wonder that the hell he was up too now, however before either of them could say anything the ground under Static started to shake, "HUH!?" Static gasp before someone blasted their way up to him grabbing Static by the shoulder's!

"And just who the hell are you!" Blackfire roar smashing him through the roof! "Blackfire!? STATIC!" Starfire cried about to rocket after them, "AAAAAAGGGHH!" but then scream in pain when Hotstreak blasted a fire-ball into her back!

Outside Static was being push into the air by Black who smirk at the startle meta-human before rearing her fist back, Static eye's widen (This is going to hurt!) Static had just enough time to think before Black gave him a right haymaker to the face sending Static flying a good hundred feet across the sky but when he started to head for the ground Static quickly pull out his metal disk and slipping his feet under it as he charge it hovering in the air.

"Okay I've been punch quite a few times in the past but that one really hurt!" Static growl rubbing his jaw as it felt like she nearly broke it, "Head up!" Blackfire call charging at Static with another hay maker but he dodge out of the before quickly charging up at powerful nova attack, throwing it at Blackfire while her back was still turned to him, "What the- KYAAAAAA!" Blackfire scream when it hit her shocking the living day lights out of the Tamaranean, female.

"Now low lets see how you like being deck in the face!" Static mutter rushing at her, Blackfire open her eye in time to Static right in front of her with his fist electrified before he slam it into Blackfire's face and sending the crashing into the ground, "It not really my style to hit a girl but if she a bad guy I won't hold back!" Static shot right down to ground level and jump off his disk as Blackfire manage to get up but it was clear she was feeling that last punch, acting fast Static race to her with his fist rear back and threw it to the back of Blackfire's head but at the last second she spin around and caught his hand in her palm to his surprise and dismay.

"That was a pretty good right hook, I really felt it," Blackfire comment while smirking as blood drip down her lip, her free left hand power up with blackbolts and her eye's glow purple as she gave Static a sinister grin who gulp, "now allow me to return the favor..." spoke and Static had only one thing to say. "Oh crap!"

Back at near the Power plant Kid Flash had taken Beast Boy and race off to the power plant to get it back on-line while Robin, Raven, and Jinx's stay behind to take care of the Gizmo and the others, Robin was currently dodging laser beams from See-more's eye tech, Robin threw several birdarangs but they were block by See-More using his yellow eyed-shield.

"Yo bird kid, I got to ask, is it true you dump the Alien girl for that Goth chick?" he said pointing to Raven who was fighting Mammoth while Jinx's take on Gizmo, Robin couldn't hide how tick that made him.

"Okay first they have names, It Raven and Starfire, second this is neither the time nor the place, and third that none of your damn business." Robin retort rather hotly as See-more just shrug.

"Hey just wanted to know if the alien hotta is up for grabs cause you got to admit, she is pretty nice on the eye's!" he replied grinning and Robin's left eye twitch before he threw a power disk at him, See-more smirk when it bounce off but then the top of it open up sending out a sonic screech that pop the shield and had his screaming in pain!

"TOOOOO LOUDDDD!" See-more shouted as Robin jump in back of him then knock the boy out with a quick clop to the neck, off to the side Jinx's seem to be playing around more than trying to take Gizmo down as she flip out-of-the-way of each of his attacks with a giggle.

"Hold still you pixie hopping side switching goodie toe shoe loving bimbo!" Gizmo holler as Jinx's landed back on the ground with her cat like smile still on her face as always.

"Come on Gizze, we both know you can't beat me, so why don't you just give up? If you do I'll make sure your next cell has play pin in it!" Jinx cheese with a large grin at the look of fury in Gizmo's eyes just as he brought out several rocket's to fire at her Jinx's snap her finger's causing his back pack to short out! "Shit!" Gizmo cried pressing the button over and over a again but nothing happen while Jinx began crack her knuckle's then pull her left fist back and punch his lights out.

"Hey Rae Rae! Finish on my end, how it going on your?" Jinx call to Raven who was floating with her arm's cross in a black energy field looking bore at Mammoth who was pounding away on it trying to get at her.

"Just about done and I told you not to call me that." Raven replied looking fairly unamused at her nickname being use outside the tower, Mammoth look to be about to bust a vine at her uninterested Raven was in their fight, tire of his attacks the half demon lifted a finger that glow with a ball of energy at that tip and Mammoth suddenly found over a dozen pipe fly at him out of no where wrapping around him and knocking him to the ground.

"Hummm!?" Mammoth grunted unable to move, it was at that moment the streets light came back on much to their surprise meaning Kid Flash had taken Beast Boy had finish up fixing the plant.

"Looks like everything's just about taken care of on our end." Jinx comment with a smile as she walkover to Raven and drop Gizmo on the ground next to the bound Mammoth follow by Robin who did the same with See-more.

"Yeah that just leave one thing left." Robin stated and Raven nodded.

"Starfire and Static..." Raven said looking off to the city. "I wonder how they're doing on their end.

Inside the building Hotstreak could be seen smash into a large monitor and out cold as Starfire glare at the red hair boy, after the first attack the battle quickly went down hill for him as Starfire became piss off at the pain she felt when he hit her in the back, it not to say Hotstreak didn't get off some good hit's but Starfire over all dominated the battle.

"Now what should I do with you...?" Starfire wonder looking for something to bind him with, she wanted to quickly go help Static who was fighting her sister but knew it was best to tie Hotstreak up first then go help.

'SWOSH!' the wind startle whipping around out of no where then to her shock a black vortex suddenly shallow Hotstreak and close before she could do anything.

"What... was that?" Starfire whisper in a state of shock. Mean while outside Static was having a much harder time fighting Blackfire who was proving to be more than a match for him, Static was far more close combat cable then before as he was now able to quickly build a shield around his arm in less than a second and charge his fist his to make them like a taser but Blackfire was proving to be above them in close combat.

"Has anyone ever told you you'd make a great MMA fighter?" Static commented blocking all of her attacks.

"I'm unfamiliar with that term, but I see your still quite chatter. I'll have to fix that." Blackfire smirk charging up a huge Black bolt and to counter her Static began doing the same with his electricity.

"Girl please, you wouldn't be the first to try." Static shot back as both of them reach their max. "Maybe not, but I'll be the last." Blackfire cackle about to fire when suddenly a black shadow like arm appear out of no where and grab her! As Blackfire turn to glare at the one who was getting in her way, Static eyes widen.

"Ebon!?" he gasp having not seen the wanna be gang banger in months,"Yo hero, it been awhile." Ebon said sticking half out of his vortex with a smug tone as if he wasn't surprise to see him there, Ebon then turn to Blackfire who snatch her arm free.

"What are you doing here?" she growl but Ebon mere cross his arm and look annoyed.

"Madame Rouge sent me to pick you and the hot head up, the power plant is back online so you better chill out and come with me or you'll have the rest of the Titans to deal with soon." Ebon stated and Blackfire had to force herself to not deck him in the face, (Whatever I already got what I needed.) she thought looking down at the duffel bag, (Tormenting my little sister and her friends will come and due time.) Blackfire smirk before turning to Static.

"Be sure to give my dear sister my love, bye!" Blackfire laugh jumping into the vortex and vanishing leaving confuse and tick off Static behind.

Back at the Tower Cyborg sigh in relief when the power for the city came back on and take it as a sigh that everything went okay.

"Hey Cy." Terra call walking up to him while rubbing her arm nervously.

"Now that the power back when do you think the others will come back?" she ask and Cyborg smile on the inside, normally the only ones she talk to were Starfire or Raven.

"Soon, all we have to do is wait and-" Cyborg was cut off when Robins face appear on the main screen.

"Cy, the plants been fix, how are things looking with the city? Robin ask, Cyborg and Terra notice that the police were carting Gizmo and the others off to jail, typing on some of the keys for the monitor Cyborg did a quick scan and everything seem to be working.

"All good from what I'm seeing, everything back online, any word from Starfire?" Cyborg ask but just then Starfire's communicator went off and Cyborg her up on-screen.

"Hey Star, we were just talking about yo- Static!?" Cyborg question seeing his face and not the orange skin alien.

"Yo just letting you guys know we're on our way but and got a lot to tell ya." Static said while Cyborg scratch his head in confusion.

"Okay but why are you calling and where is Starfire?" he ask Static look up ahead of him for a moment than back down to the communicator, "She not in the mood to talk right now." Static told him, Starfire had been in a pretty bad mood ever since they ran into Blackfire. Now Static would admit to being pretty piss off too about Ebon being in the city but it seem no where close to what Starfire was feeling right now.

"Anyway, it like I said, we got a lot to tell you guys so we'll be there in a little bit, Static sighing out." Static said cutting off the com-link, Cyborg scratch his head wondering what all happen and just how troublesome would this things.

Else where in a base off the California shoreline, Blackfire was sitting on a table in darkly lite room, none other than Madame Rouge was sitting at a desk tinkering the device she had Blackfire get, said person was already bore waiting for Ebon to come back with the 'moron squad' as she and with Rough busy the only one left to talk with was Private Hive, who was about as sociable as dead bee hive. Thankfully her boredom ended when Ebon's vortex open up.

"I'm back, with these dumbasses." Ebon mutter dropping Gizmo, Mammoth, and See-More on to the ground. The tiny villains yelling curse already much to Madame Rouge frustration.

"Would you be quite! I can't work with your racket!" she shouted while putting the finishing touches on whatever the device she was working.

"Tch so what the big deal with that toy anyway, huh?" Gizmo ask as much as he wanted to give her a verbal beat down she knew the woman was violent on the bast of days and down right ruthless on the worse.

"You'll find out in due time, but now that your all here your next target well be him, I need you to find him and get certain Intel from the man." Madame Rouge said flicking a photo to Blackfire who raise an eye brow at the old man on it, Gizmo Mammoth, Private Hive, and See-More all pale at who was on it while Ebon and Blackfire wonder who he was.

"ARE YOU CRAZY!? YOU WANT US TO GO AFTER HIM!? THAT NUT WILL KILL US!' Gizimo cried but Madame Rouge pay him very little mind.

"Normal you would but with Blackfire, Ebon and Hotstreak should be fine, Blackfire I take from looking at him you already know the until we're after." Rouge turning to look at her.

"With the way he is yes, what would you do with it." Blackfire ask but Rouge gave her a sinister smirk.

"You're a smirk girl so I know you've guess who we're really after, let just say that for now our benefactor has need of that person." Blackfire return the smirk at just thinking of how much this will hurt her sister.

"Find by me, any idea of where we should start looking?" she ask, Ebon just listen in not really saying anything but was musing over the fact that his plan of sending that brick head back home had actually work, and if all went well then he could be rid of Static once and for all!
