Knowledge

Masked within the expanse of the cluttered Biology clubroom, quiet breaths filled with lust and satisfaction lingered in the air like a murky fog. With bodies of adolescence and brains clogged with hormones, there was no use in stopping the inevitable. And so became the ritual.

Ever since Izaya had agreed to become the vice president of Shinra's Biology club, every event seemingly played out within the same frame, the same follow of suit as the days that came before. Club activities would commence as usual, but once everyone else had cleared out and went home, the president and vice president would do a little experimenting of their own.

"I feel sick," Shinra sighed, standing up and fastening his belt.

"You say that every time we finish," Izaya scoffed, opting to remain seated.

"Well, wouldn't you? If you were me, wouldn't you feel…disgusting?"

"Is this because of Celty?" Izaya asked, noticing that keen look of discomfort in his friend's eyes.

"…Yes," Shinra whispered. "I feel like I'm betraying her somehow. Don't you understand, Izaya? I love her. I love her more than anything in this world, and yet here I am…with you, and we're doing these kinds of things that only lovers should be doing and it just makes me feel sick and disgusted and—"

"Shinra," Izaya cut in. His voice had been as sharp as a knife used for dissection and it silenced Shinra immediately.

Coming to his feet, Izaya sighed heavily before wrapping his arms around Shinra's neck, coiling and constricting him like some act of master versus prey. "What we do in our free time has nothing to do with Celty. She doesn't have to know."

"But—"

Again, Izaya wasn't going to settle for any of Shinra's arguments. A feverish kiss was what the boy had needed, a reminder of exactly why this little "arrangement" of theirs couldn't be any more perfect than it already was.

"She doesn't have to know," Izaya purred in repetition, pressing soft kisses down the length of Shinra's neck. He smiled into the boy's skin, finding it so innocent and naïve how Shinra would get so breathless from the aftereffects of a mere kiss. Really, it was cute.

"She…doesn't have to know," Shinra swallowed. He placed his hands on Izaya's arms as if to push the boy away from him, but it was a pathetic attempt. He wanted this, and no matter how much his heart ached for his beloved, the temptation engulfed him whole.

Izaya was right; the knowledge of this was something that Celty need not ever know.

Hello there! Chappy here! :D

Day 12 at last! The theme was "knowledge."

Exciting, right?! I actually wrote something other than Shizaya this time! XD

To be honest, this theme had stumped me in so many different ways for Shizaya that I just thought, "Hey...maybe it'll work for Shinzaya." And so that is how this story was born. XD

I hope you've enjoyed and thank you, as always, for reading! (:
