Hiya everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been pretty busy lately… Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that I still plan on continuing this story! However, as you may have noticed this "chapter" is rather short. This is because it's more of an author's note.
I'm doing a LOT of rethinking for this story. I had the couples set from the start and was going to run with it. I introduced the wheel of awesomeness for certain events that were supposed to come into play later in the story. However, I've had a few new ideas, which may or may not result in new events and new pairs. I'm still debating what to do.
Do you have any ideas for the story? Couples that you absolutely don't want to change? (Some are definitely safe.) Event ideas? I'm replanning a good amount of stuff, so suggestions are certainly welcome. ^.^
Now, because author's notes can be rather disappointing when a new chapter is expected, I decided to put in sneak peeks for next chapter/the one after that depending on how I divide the next segment. Sorry for making you all wait so long. Thanks for sticking with me!
Next time on Castanet Couples Challenge…
"We have to go into Fogue Forest," the Witch Princess said smugly.
"Fine. I'll do it for the sake of the challenge. The sooner we win this blasted thing, the sooner we can win our exit from the wheel," Gill replied. "But, we're sticking to the path. I'm not getting lost in that maze of a forest."
"Oh please, I know the forest better than anyone did, does, and will ever know it. I'm going to navigate and you're going to follow like a good little boy," the witch commanded, slightly irritated.
"You're crazy. All you're going to do is get us lost."
"I said I'm navigating. You want to win, right?"
"Of course, but you're delusional if you think you can find your way through this forest. It constantly changes. We'll get lost for sure."
"That does it! I tried to convince you in a civil manner, but you're just too stubborn. We are going to do this challenge my way, whether you like it or not. I don't care if I have to pull you through the forest kicking and screaming!" she snapped furiously. Something about her tone made Gill gulp. Things were certainly not going his way.
xXx
"I honestly don't understand why the mayor is still making you attend," Anissa sighed, pushing Jin in his wheelchair towards the forest.
"It's fine. My injury isn't as bad as it could have been. I'm only in this wheelchair for traveling conveniences," Jin replied.
"But still…"
"You worry too much, Anissa. After all, the Hamilton did mention special accommodations."
"I suppose."
"I also have a sneaking suspicion Hamilton may have something up his sleeve regarding us."
"I can't argue with that. There was definitely some sort of look on his face when he saw you were hurt."
End of preview. Hope you liked the bits! Jin's injury is actually kind of important…
Anyway, on to review replies (Sorry in advance if I miss anyone, it's been a while…)
~Ninja Soy: Aw, thanks! I'm such a Luke fangirl, so I wanted him with the female farmer… Thanks for your kind words! And XD about Hamilton.
~Guest: You're so nice! And you didn't offend me at all about Wizard. I revealed his name for two reasons. One, I wanted to start writing his name for the dialogue. Two, I wanted to contrast his relationship with Molly to Gill and WP. It's going to take much more development on their part for WP to reveal her name. Thank you for the review!
~Narwhale: Thanks for reviewing again! ^.^ And I do agree that Hamilton is having too much fun with these more young adults. Glad you liked the chapter!
~Lilac: I love Gill and Vivi together too! And Phoebe and Julius are definitely fun to write. Thanks for saying you'll stick around if this story changes a bit. Thanks for the sweet review!
~XxBlue and CrimsonxX: Thank you for reviewing! Awesome about Slick! And partner change may or may not be happening in a way that changes the pair. ^.^
