JACE POV

It felt like days that I had been laying there watching Clary sleep. Isabelle gave her some tea that Hodge said would help her body rest after I had put the healing rune on her.

"Jace, go shower or something. You've been here for hours, Hodge said she will be out until tomorrow" Jon said

"I know but I want to be here when she wakes up" I said looking her.

"She's strong believe me; I'll call you once she wakes. Promise" he told her

I looked up at him and then back to her before getting up and walking out of her room. Alek was going to hear me, I swear by the Angel. I walked to his room and almost took the door down by its hinges with my pounding.

"What the hell is your problem?" Alek said once he opened

"You! You're my problem. Why did you do that to her? What did she do to you? We were training" I said pushing him inside

"Are you serious? Don't tell me we are going to fight over some little girl that's going to be gone in a few weeks. She's just your fling Jace and you know it" he said

"No. She's special, you don't even know her." I said

"Neither do you" he told me

"Well I don't go around punching people I don't know. Why did you do it?" I asked him, he was supposed to be my best friend but I could tell in his eyes we were hiding something.

"Jace, when you get over this girl and I mean over her bed and everything you get back to me, I promise you that when that happens she will be just another chick you slept with" he said

"You're a lost cause don't tell me why you hate this girl so much. Keep it to yourself I don't care anymore but if you hurt her I will hurt you" I told him before walking to the door.

"She changed you and you don't even know it" he said, I stopped for a moment but I never looked back. I left the room with the words going around in my head. The red headed girl did change me, I don't know if it's good or bad and that's what it takes for me to be with her then let her keep changing me.

CLARY POV

I felt empty, everything was dark. I was trying to open my eyes but they wouldn't. Open Damn it! I thought, slowly I saw light. Then everything started to come into view, blurry but I could tell I was in a room. Then stuff started to focus.

"Clary?" I heard someone say, is that Jon?

"Go get Jace, Seb" he said again before turning to me

"Hey little sis, thought you would be out until tomorrow" he told me

"You know it takes more than some tea to knock me out until tomorrow" I said trying to sit up

"Hey take it easy, Alek did a number on you" he said

"That's right, the fight. Some training... Who won?" I asked

"Really, you got your ass kicked and you want to know who won" he said laughing

"Well to say the least he did" Mike said

"Hey you" I said looking at him

"Hey gave us a scare, don't do that again" Mike told me

"I gave you a scare? Dude I was that one that was used for a punching bag" I said smiling

"Yeah Jon gave Alek an ear full" Mike said smiling

"When you feel up to it we can go get something to eat" Jon told me

"Yes! I feel better, let's go" I said getting up and almost losing my balance.

"Ok spit fire relax" Jon said laughing

"You know, Jace was here the whole time, up until an hour ago that I told him to go shower" he said

"Really? That's nice of him" I said

"Yeah looks like the kid might really like you" Jon said

JACE POV

I heard a knock on the door and then Sebastian came in.

"Make yourself at home" I said getting up off my bed

"Thought you might want to know, Clary's awake" he told me. I ran so fast to room that when I got there I heard laughing inside. I pushed the door a little open and saw Isabelle standing next to Jon, who was sitting next to Clary's bed. I didn't want to ruin to moment.

"Look who I found standing outside" Seb said while pushing me inside. My eyes met Clary's and I smiled

"Hey, how you feeling?" I asked

"Good, we are going out to eat. Are we still on for our date?" she asked

"Last I checked it was tomorrow" I said

"Ok, good" she said smiling, I'm glad to see that she's ok

"Look about Alek…" I started

"Its fine, Isabelle already said sorry and Jon gave him a piece of his mind so I think that it's taken care of" she said sitting up.

"So are we going to eat or just stand around?" Mike asked looking around, I couldn't stop looking at Clary after what happened to her and she was still understanding.

"I'll help Clary get dressed and meet you guys downstairs" Isabelle said. We all nodded and made our way out.

CLARYS POV

"So Clary do you have something in mind to wear?" Isabelle asked me

"Just something casual" I said

"Not for tonight, for your date tomorrow" she said

"Oh no not yet" I said walking to the closet with Isabelle right behind me

"Oh well if you like I can help you with your outfit, hair and makeup" she said

"I would like, I hang around guys all the time I don't really know much about that. Well the dressing I kind of just look at the internet" I told her smiling

"Ok how about you pick your outfit for tonight, something cute and casual like you said so I can get a feel for the stuff you like and have an idea for tomorrow" she said

"Thanks Isabelle" I said

"Call me Izzy" she said

I had taken a shower first and then went to get dressed. I picked black skinny jeans, a short sleeve white shirt with grey skulls all over it and my black converse. I left my hair down and Izzy did some natural make up, well except for the red lipstick. She said it would look nice. We walked out and made our way down stairs to the boys.

"Like always late" Jon said

"Hey a girl has to try and look nice" I said standing next to him

"You look nice, no matter what you wear" Sebastian said

"Thank you" I said smiling, I looked up and met the beautiful golden eyes.

'Hi' I mouthed to him; he smiled and looked at Isabelle before turning to look at me again

'Hi' he mouthed, I could hear Jon laughing and when I looked up at him he was looking at me. Jace had turned and started walking with Isabelle

"Not so slick" he said low

"Shut up" I told him smiling.

I understand why everyone is mad at Alek, but I understand Alek as well. He's in love with Jace, but I would still like to talk to him about it. If we are going to be here for 3 month we need to keep the peace.
