The text had come at a most inopportune moment.

My office. Now.

Jeez! Dear Old Dad needed to learn some other phrases to text. Obviously, he was in the mood to talk to Tommy again. Well, since he had a few things he had wanted to say last time, he figured that there was no time like the present!

"Really, Dad," Tommy said as he barged into Arthur King's office, "I've already told you more than enough times that there is not any further news about Oliver! I said I'd let you know as soon as I did! Wish you would just trust me."

"How can I trust you when I already know you're not following up on the assignment as requested?"

"What do you mean?"

"Thomas," Arthur said, "You were tasked with spending as much time with Oliver as possible in order to find out what he knows about our operation. You haven't been near him since the night you were at 'Poison' and got your asses kicked. It's been almost a week."

"Dad," Tommy said, "he found out about Laurel and me. I figured I'd give him time."

"He said he wasn't mad," Arthur said, confirming that Tommy had a bug on him somewhere, "You really have no excuse."

"Dad-"

"No. You're done," Arthur said firmly. "I'm sending you to Tokyo. We have a new factory opening and I want you there."

"Dad-"

"No arguing, Thomas," Arthur said. "I have other means of keeping tabs on Oliver Queen."

Tommy hung his head. He knew once Dear Old Dad got the bit between his teeth, there was no turning him. Well, fine. He'd go, but he wasn't going to leave Ollie hanging if he could help it!

Of course, as usual, Oliver didn't pick up his phone. Tommy was pretty sure that Oliver was pissed at him, even though they had supposedly cleared the air about the whole Laurel thing. Reading Oliver's thoughts had become impossible. Before the island, they could look at each other and know what the other was thinking. Now, Oliver's eyes were so veiled, Tommy wasn't sure of anything, even if Oliver was laughing. Since Oliver didn't pick up…again, he left a message:

"Hey, man. I'm going to be out of the country for a bit. Hopefully no longer than a week or so, but who knows? Dear Old Dad is sending me on a world tour of all his subsidiaries. You won't ask 'cause you're listening to this, which is fine," he said with a slightly bitter tone, "I know you're busy with things. Just want to tell you, man, watch your back. You can't trust anyone…and I mean anyone, right now. Hopefully, when I get back we can take off and get some one on one time."
