Alright, so the comeback trail continues as I now have the newest chapter of Next Level ready for you all to read! So I apologize again for the delay, but now that we're back, let's go ahead and get the party started with the new chapter of Next Level!

Chapter 32: Before I Self-Destruct

"Yeah, that's what AJ said Randy. She said Paige. Something you wanna tell us about this? Something you might know jabroni?" WWE Champion the Rock asked in an investigative tone. Randy realized that the sudden mention of Paige's name had caught him off guard and while he had a different ploy in mind about getting revenge on the Shield, the unexpected turn of momentum had completely changed the name of the game now.

"Nothing that your ass needs to know about Great One," he snarled. "Now let's get back to the matter at hand here. We need to figure out how to take the Shield down for good once and for all. Now you have to let me in to the Chamber and take AJ's spot."

Before the Rock could respond, AJ spoke first. "Hell no. I was put in that match for a reason, and while I know all of you fear for my safety, and more importantly, apparently my sanity, I'm telling you I'll do fine against the Shield," she said, a harkening dark glow now shadowing her face as she stared down the man who had once sexually assaulted her, not an ounce of fear flowing through her veins at all.

"You've got some nerve AJ. I know I assaulted you in the past, and while that was questionable, I'm trying to make a decision that will protect us—"

"It doesn't matter what you're trying to protect!" the Rock interjected. "The Rock says Orton, you may be the World Champion, but if there's one thing that you're full of, it's a big pile of steaming stinking monkey crap. Since you don't want to tell us anything about Paige either, or what the Shield's intentions with her and Kaitlyn might be, the Rock says you're of no use to us, so take your big gold belt, shove it up your candy ass, and walk right out that door the way you came in," the Rock said, giving him a death glare.

"For once, I try to play ball with you all and you refuse my help. Well, fuck all of you then. I'll take care of this situation myself, in my own hands like I've always done my whole entire career," Randy said. Slinging his title on his shoulder, he opened the door and before he left, he spat from the door of the room straight into the Rock's face, and before the Rock could retaliate, the Viper was gone and out the door.

"Stupid son of a bitch! I'm gonna whoop his candy ass when I see him again!" the Rock yelled, before AJ slapped him. "Rocky calm down! We've got more important things to worry about! Focus on the Shield!" the crazy diva said, and the Rock sighed.

He realized that AJ was right. The Shield were the real enemies here, not Randy. He could be dealt with at a later time, but for now, it was time to kick ass and take the Shield's names.

It was time to bring it.

(Scene Break)

John Cena put on his dark blue 10 Years Strong t-shirt as he got ready for the upcoming match. It was crazy how he was going to be in the Elimination Chamber match, teaming with his girlfriend AJ Lee and his greatest foe the Rock, the guy he was facing at WrestleMania for the title, and he was supposed to be okay with it? John wasn't one to be fazed, but these were some pretty dire odds for the 12 time WWE Champion to take on.

The Cenation Leader's thought process was completely interrupted when he saw the staff of medical doctors rush by along with EMTs, rolling out a gurney with a prone body on it. He immediately saw the black gear and recognized the body as Roman Reigns, completely shocked. Seeing Dr. Sampson run by, John quickly spun him around by the shoulder.

"Yo doc, what's the situation? What happened to Roman?" John asked curiously. The doctor sadly shook his head.

"It's pretty bad John. Eyewitnesses report that Roman got jumped by his own Shield teammates, and by the time our medical staff got there, the big guy all but pretty much blacked out sadly," he said solemnly, shaking his head.

"Damn, that's outrageous," John said, taking his cap off and scratching the back of his head. At this point, John had just about seen and heard everything at this point in his career. You couldn't pretty much trust anybody in this business anymore, and quite frankly, the scene that had just transpired before him definitely confirmed that theory.

After a few more stretches, the face of the WWE slid on his armbands and wristbands, and headed down the corridor to finally meet up with his partners. He had a long evening ahead of him, and had that eerie feeling that something huge was about to go down tonight. Something that everybody was going to remember.

WWE Champion The Rock, AJ Lee, and John Cena vs The Shield( Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and ?) 6 Person Elimination Chamber Match

Familiar trumpets hit the sounds of the arena and the fans automatically knew that John Cena was going to be the first person to come out. As John came out fired up, he looked at the camera with an ambiguous look, mouthing that shit was about to go down tonight. He did his salute, and ran down to the ring, stepping inside the Chamber and into one of the pods so he could be locked inside.

Next up was the fan favorite Crazy Chick AJ Lee as she skipped slightly down the ramp to the Chamber. AJ had endured numerous types of punishment over the past couple of months, but was she ready to feel the wrath of Satan's Structure? She took a few deep breaths, before walking slowly up the steps and into the metal structure. The refs took her to her pod and locked her up inside.

Finally, the music of the champion hit and the crowd jumped to their feet, seeing the legendary wrestler the Rock come out with his WWE title, a complete serious look on his face. The Rock was here tonight to handle his business and take out the Shield once and for all so that he could look forward to WrestleMania.

Rock handed his belt to one of the officials so that they could take it to the timekeeper's area so they could keep it safe. Once he stepped into the Chamber, he cracked his knuckles and started to get mentally prepared for the deadly match since he was starting the match off. The Shield's music hit, and everybody was completely surprised to see only Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins coming out, minus the big powerhouse of their near-unstoppable group.

Dean took in the immense heat that he and Seth were both getting, as it only motivated him and strengthened his mindset, not that anyone knew how his mindset worked anyway. Seth looked around, and with a sadistic grin on his face, patted his partner Dean on the shoulder as they both entered Satan's structure. The Rock looked at the both of them confused, watching their eyes carefully. Dean entered his pod on his own as Seth stayed in the ring.

"Where in the blue hell is my cousin jabroni?" the Rock demanded to know from Seth. The acrobatic wrestler only grinned and responded with, "he's in a better place now Rocky."

The Rock gritted his teeth, and he couldn't wait for the bell to ring so he could get started on going to town on Rollins and whooping his ass. "Where the hell is your new partner then?" the Rock asked, prompting Seth to grin even more, only this time he didn't answer.

"Oh fuck this," the Rock yelled out and started to deliver stiff rights to the two-toned high flyer, backing him in a corner, and not stopping. He posed for the crowd, and delivered one more right hand that sent Seth flying over the ropes and onto the steel grate.

"Shit!" he said, holding his back in pain as the Rock stepped over the ropes, keeping up with his offensive flurry. Picking him up, the Rock rammed Seth's back into the steel wall, not once, not twice, but three times.

Boots 2 Asses chants could be heard from the crowd as the Great One went to town on Seth even more. However, recovering pretty fast from the damage, Seth reversed Rock's irish whip and sent the Great One crashing into the plexiglass, cracking some of it as Dean smiled on with a sinister look on his face. Seth threw Rock back into the ring, and ascended the top rope.

As the Rock struggled to get up, Seth hit the wicked flying knee assault to the Rock's head, and quickly covered for the pin, but the Rock quickly got the shoulder up at the 2 count. Huffing, Seth picked up the Rock and delivered a helicopter kick that knocked him right back down to the mat. Picking him up, the Rock quickly reversed the Irish whip, countering Seth with a Belly to Belly Suplex. The Shield member quickly ran to the Rock, but the Brahma Bull grinned and caught Seth with the Samoan Drop.

Going for the pin, Seth kicked out at 2 and the Rock sighed. He started stomping away at the Shield member, until the spotlight started flickering, signaling that another Superstar was about to enter the Chamber. As the Rock hit Seth with a DDT, he watched as the spotlight kept flickering, before it finally landed on the one person he didn't want coming into the match: AJ Lee.

The petite diva looked reluctantly as the refs unlocked the lock on AJ's pod, pulling her out of the pod against her will. "Let me go!" she yelled, clawing and scratching at the refs before they finally got her out and closed the pod completely.

Sighing nervously, she stood back against the wall at the Rock's instructions, watching the Great One go to town on Rollins. However, a quick chop block to the back of Rock's leg took down the Rock, as he quickly fell to the mat. After a dropkick to the side of his head, the Shield member slowly made his way over to AJ, sickening intentions clouding his mind.

Quickly thinking, AJ slapped the mess out of Seth Rollins's face and he turned around only to be greeted with a stiff right hand from the Rock. He staggered and fell back towards AJ, who only slapped him just as hard the first time. Seth spun around and was once again met by the Rock's stiff right hand, and apparently, it turned into a game of Crush the Coconut, using Seth's head. The slaps and right hands continued until the Rock decided to drop him with the Spinebuster.

AJ smiled and even John did as well as they knew what the Rock was about to do next. Tossing the elbow pad, the Rock crossed his arms back and forth before running against the ropes and then dropping the elbow to deliver the People's Elbow to Seth Rollins.

Not satisfied with that, the Rock pointed to AJ and then pointed to the top rope. "Headbutt," he mouthed to AJ, who's eyes widened. Sighing, she started to climb the top rope. When she positioned herself on the top rope, the Rock waved his finger no, and pointed to the top of the pod.

"You want me to climb up there and do a diving headbutt?! Are you flipping crazy?!" she shrieked, but that Hollywood grin of the Rock's crossed his face, and AJ knew that he wanted this to happen to entertain the fans in public.

As the crazy chick positioned herself, she watched closely nearby as smoke began to fill the empty pod and a big muscular figure began to rise up into it. John and Rock looked on in curiosity as the smoke finally began to fade and the figure was finally revealed, making AJ scream in terror.

It was Ryback.

Big Hungry had apparently risen up with some complicated mechanism in the Chamber that allowed him to enter the Chamber, and he was now quite possibly here to put an end to AJ Lee. To make matters worse, the lights began to flicker, and the spotlight finally stopped and landed on Dean Ambrose.

The methodically pyschotic superstar entered the ring, attacking the Rock, but the Great One was quick to counter the crazy one, delivering a series of arm drags as AJ slowly started to climb down. She wasn't aware that while Rock was taking it to Dean, Seth was playing possum, quickly exploding up the top rope, and delivering a powerful belly to belly Suplex to AJ from the top rope, landing hard on the mat.

The Rock heard the impact and immediately spun around to see AJ sprawled out on the mat as Seth struggled to his feet. The Rock attacked Seth Rollins, but Dean was right behind him, attacking from the rear and the Shield began to double team the Great One, dishing out a double DDT. The two then looked over to AJ, who was crawling to her feet.

"She's quite the looker Dean," Seth said, flashing a toothy grin to his partner as Dean took in the view of AJ's rear, delivering a swift kick to it as she cried out in pain. The two cornered AJ, but being the defensive person that AJ was, she immediately lashed out and punched Seth in the jewels and hit Dean in the gut, delivering her patented Shining Wizard, and as she went for the pin, Dean kicked out at 2.

By that time, AJ began to try and crawl away, but Dean grabbed her by the feet. Luckily, the Rock had recuperated enough and clotheslined Dean, knocking him flat on his back. After delivering a back elbow to Seth, the Rock continued doing work, with AJ watching on in fearful, but piqued interest as the Rock delivered rights to both of their heads alternatively, before taking both of the Shield members' heads and crashing them into each other. As AJ cheered on, the spotlight came back on and AJ crossed her fingers and hoped for John. Unfortunately, her wish was not granted, as the pod for Big Hungry opened, and Ryback stepped out with a mischievous grin on his face. Huffing and puffing, the Rock raised an eyebrow at the powerhouse. "Jabroni, you sound like you're breathing on life support. Shut your mouth!" the Rock said, and then attacked Ryback, but the Shield were once again all over him like a pack of dogs.

They both picked up the Great One and tossed him towards Ryback, who delivered an impactful Meat Hook clothesline. All three superstars started to keep stomping away at him, and then Ryback roared. Dean got the idea quickly followed by Seth, and they picked up the Rock, placing him on Big Hungry's shoulders. The crowd gasped, knowing that they were going for the triple Powerbomb, and they delivered it. With the Rock now laid out, they turned their attention to AJ, and Ryback once again called for the triple Powerbomb. AJ kicked and struggled, trying to stay out of their grasp, even hitting an Enzugiri on Seth, before they got her under control.

"Get her ass up," Ryback commanded, and John looked pissed off. He started to punch the plexiglass, only to no avail. As they started to lift AJ up, John watched to the side as a side grate on the chamber floor opened up, and to his shock, his former friend Randy Orton slid out, and entered the ring. The Viper attacked all of the Superstars, making them drop AJ. Randy grabbed Ryback and threw him into one of the pods, breaking the glass completely. Dean tried to assault Randy, but the Apex Predator quickly reversed his assault into a powerslam.

With Randy being a ring general, his senses were always alert when in the ring, and he happened to see Seth jumping off the top of the pod out of the corner of his eye. Positioning himself, he jumped and grabbed Seth's neck, delivering a devastating RKO. Randy then slowly slid out of the ring, back into the grate like a rat going into the sewer, and closed the grate, disappearing from sight.

Still in the moment, AJ quickly snapped out of it, as she raced over and covered Seth for the 3 count. The crowd cheered wildly as AJ let a smile creep onto her face for the first time that entire day. Even John managed to form a small satisfied smile on his face. The cheering quickly ended however as Ryback came out of nowhere and hit AJ with a heavy Meat Hook clothesline that all but knocked the Geek Goddess out.

"No!" John yelled out. He looked at the downed Rock, who still hadn't managed to move after that triple Powerbomb, so his only hope was to stand and wait for his pod to finally open. What happened next however, was completely confusing to everyone in attendance. Ryback kicked open the door to the chamber, picked up AJ and placed her on his shoulder, and quite simply, walked out.

"What the fuck? Rock, get your ass up and stop him!" John yelled. Rock barely sat himself up in the bottom rope corner, surveying the scene as he saw Ryback already up the ramp with AJ in tow, as he disappeared behind the curtain.

"What in the blue fuck?!" he questioned, but Dean quickly asssaulted him from behind, and delivered a Headlock Driver. Dean went for the pin, but the Rock barely got his shoulder up before the 3 count. Dean cursed, but bit his tongue when he saw the spotlight go out once more, because he knew what was coming next.

The spotlight landed on John, and as soon as the lock was taken off, the Cenation Leader exploded out of his pod, picking up the already eliminated Seth Rollins and AA'ing him through the chains in the chamber wall, sending him flying into the audience. Turning his attention to Dean, he rolled forward like a full head of steam, clotheslining the crazy one and hitting his signature shoulder blocks. After giving Dean the Spinout Powerbomb, John climbed the top of the pod, and dove off with a 5 Knuckle Shuffle, planting it square on his head and busting him open. John threw him towards the Rock, who delivered a thunderous Rock Bottom to flatten Ambrose, and John locked in the STF, punishing him as the Rock locked in the crossface, doubling up on the punishment being dished out. Dean held on until he couldn't anymore, tapping out before finally passing out.

"Here are your winners, the Rock, John Cena, and AJ Lee!" Justin Roberts announced to the WWE Universe. At that very moment, John wasted no time in breaking out of the chamber to go after Ryback and chase after his girlfriend with the Rock right in tow behind him to back him up.

"I don't need your help Rock! You did your part dammit now let me do mine!" John yelled as he rushed through the curtain and down the corridor.

"You still need the Rock's help, you yabba dabba bitch! Just appreciate the fact that the Rock is helping you, because I still need to find out what happened to my cousin and where he is!" Rock shouted back.

"I don't care!" John shouted back. He stopped and looked at the members of the group 3MB. "Where the fuck is Ryback?!" John yelled. Heath Slater looked at John in surprise. "I don't know man, you should try checking out the car lot or something," he suggested. "Thanks," John said, before clocking all three members of 3MB, and took off with the Rock shaking his head, but still in tow as well.

The two megastars finally reached the parking lot, just in time to see AJ get thrown into a long stretched black limo by Ryback, who also stepped inside of it, closing the door as they sped off.

"Quick, let's take the Rock's sports car!" the Great One suggested, and John nodded, knowing that there was no time for arguing. They had to go save AJ.

Heli-Pad

The black limo reached an oddly-placed helicopter landing pad, just in time to see a black helicopter land. Apparently, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were already inside. The Rock and John Cena weren't too far away, and as they pulled up to the site, they were surprised at what they were seeing. Ryback and Mark Henry were carrying AJ, Kaitlyn, and Paige all to the helicopter, and tossed them inside.

John hopped outside of the car, and begin to hustle down the strip trying to go after the two, but gunshots were heard and John barely had time to dodge them. He looked up and was surprised to see that his very own boss Vince McMahon had fired the shots.

"You should have listened to me the first time Cena! Never mix business with pleasure! That's not good business!" Vince shouted as the whirring sounds of the helicopter blades began to grow louder.

"Fuck you Vince! Give us those Divas back!" John yelled, throwing miscellaneous items at the helicopter but missing. The evil grin grew on the McMahon family's faces as they started to disappear more and more out of view.

John pounded the ground madly, before angry steaming tears started to slide down his face as the Rock placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm so sorry AJ. I failed you, I'm sorry..." John muttered as the sun began to set on the glistening, but cold horizon. By then, the helicopter was completely gone and out of view. They were gone.

So far gone.

Well, how's that for an evil cliffhanging storyender huh? I know, you all expected them to get together and stay that way, but it just didn't happen for them. I hate having to end my story here, because this is my prized possession, my favorite story that I've written. I've got so much more in store for you all though, so I promise you that the fun is just getting started.
