Author's Note: I am sorry that this this prologue is so short, but I am incapable making long prologues. Anyways, this may turn out to be one of those fics where the characters are completely OOC, but that's because this is an AU. This has been in my head for a long time, so I've gotta write it. Anyways enjoy and tell me what you think.

Prologue

Sigh.

I really hate these parties, but aunty insists that I go. She is planning marrying me off, but I shun pathetic feelings such as love and happiness. I could care less what my future is like. Yes. That at all stopped, because that happened.

Sigh

I am forced to smile as some pathetic boy compliments me on my beauty. Does he think that I am stupid? I am well aware of my beauty. In fact, I am the prettiest in my class, not to mention the smartest. That's right, I'm even smarter than the professor, but I don't care. Everyone says that I have it all,but they are all stupid. My wealth, my beauty, and my brains, I could care less about any of it.

Sigh

It isn't really the party itself that is boring; it's me. Everyone else seems happy. I remember the days when I was like that. I never used to be like this. I remember the days when mother, father, and I used to play together. I am incapable now, a mere shell of what I used to be.

Sigh

There is still a full hour before Aunty will allow me to leave. I move my long cerulean hair out of my face. I can hear her annoying voice ring through my ears "Bulma, it isn't proper for a member of the Briefs family to leave parties early."

"Oh my gosh, he is so cute." I hear one of the girls at the table sigh dreamily. I look up to see the son of the Ouji corp's president stride away annoyance clear on his face, as girls followed him. The first thing I noticed about him was his onyx hair swept up into a flame of spikes. He wore a black tux that looked extremely uncomfortable, and his dark, midnight eyes were screaming "LEAVE ME ALONE!" For some reason, I couldn't stop looking at him. Is it because I am jealous that I cannot feel, and he can?

sigh

I look away from him. No, I don't care. I force a smile on my face as the daughter of the man who owned Marry Me Corp, a huge company that sold engagement rings, prattled on with useless gossip. Suddenly, the girl started hyperventilating. I turned around to see him.

"Wuzzup, my name's Vegeta." I looked at the son of the Ouji Corp's president who now occupied the empty seat next to me. Then my mask slipped.
