Chapter 7: On With the Tour (part 1)

"Reborn wanted to recruit you guys to join the Vongola." Tsuna told them almost reluctantly, but he knew he had to tell them since they've been demanding it. They all gaped at the brunette for a few moments before snapping out of it.

"WHHHAAAAATTT?!" they all exclaimed in unison before going about in their own reaction.

"This is a bit much!"

"What would my parents say?"

"I'm gonna die!"

Half of the students were panicking while the other half started to complain or get angry with the brunet. Of course, Tsuna didn't blame them for the way they were reacting as it was a completely normal reaction to reject being involved in something so dangerous, he should know from experience. So he just let them be for a little while and just watched, a bit amused at the despair, anger, confusion and dread that they were going through. "Gosh, Reborn's antics are warping my mind." Tsuna groaned inwardly but still enjoyed the reactions, but not too much.

"I'm not surprised that you wanted an elite such as myself in such a prestigious group but it's very surprising to suddenly be asked to join the mafia." Nezu flattered himself as the guardians who were classmates exchanged glances.

"I hate to burst your bubble Nezu-sensei but I think you were just a minor technicality that happened to be here since we needed a teacher to supervise." Yamamoto said cheerfully, embarrassing the man. The boy's words had lightened the mood a bit as everyone started trying to hold in their laughter at the teacher's look of disbelief.

"Yes, now... since you all know about the family's background, I should tell you all that my profession is not that of a teacher or an academic tutor." Reborn silenced them all and brought back the eeriness. "As I said, I was sent here to teach Tsuna to become the tenth boss of the Vongola and my title is the world's greatest hitman, Reborn." They all just stared at the baby, unsure of what to say and unknowing of whether he was telling the truth of just joking with them. "If you think this is a joke, then allow me to demonstrate..." the infant smirked and prepped Leon as he turned into a handgun and everyone just paled in fright.

"I don't think that's necessary." Dino sweatdropped at his ex-tutor's eagerness but secretly hoped that the hitman wouldn't turn on him instead. When the blond saw the infant turn Leon back into a chameleon, he sighed in relief and allowed the other to continue with what he was saying.

"Alright, the first rule of the mafia." Everyone gulped and waited to see what the infant was going to tell them. "You will not tell anyone of what you learn from here on out. One word you say to someone who isn't to know anything about what we do here, any confidential information that you reveal to any outsider, they'll mysteriously disappear." If it was at all possible, the kids paled further at the hitman's threat. They all practically looked like ghosts as they didn't dare make a single movement in front of the scary child who they now doubted if he was at all a child.

"Mou Reborn, aren't you scaring them a bit too much?" Tsuna questioned his tutor.

"If you don't do this much, they'll never learn. As usual, you're too soft and that's why you're still dame-Tsuna." He taunted. Tsuna just brushed off the name calling for the sake of his classmates and decided to take over the explanation.

"What Reborn's trying to explain to you is the mafia omerta, which is the vow of silence so to speak. To prevent members from speaking to any authorities, other rival families or any person considered an outsider to the family from speaking of their own famiglia business. Otherwise, there's no other choice but to... get rid of the parties involved to keep family affairs a secret from outsiders." After a moment of silence, the kids all nodded at their classmate's explanation. Just then, a girl with dark brown pigtails, Ito Keiko, raised her hand shakily and waited to be called upon. Tsuna noticed and motioned for her to speak. She was one of his female tormenters so to speak, though she just did it to fit in with her group of friends which inevitably included Osamu and his gang.

"A-Ano... you s-seem to know a l-lot dam..er S-Sawa-da-kun." She stuttered a bit due to her nervousness, especially since she was aware of how much she contributed to picking on her classmate for the past few years.

"Geez, after acting all confident before coming here, you seem to be as bad in speaking as Sawada was when we were all in elementary." Hana looked at the girl annoyed. Tsuna wasn't sure whether to take her words as a compliment or not but he knew that she didn't mean anything bad by it.

"Oi Grumpy faced woman (fukigen na ka-onna), don't you dare insult Juudaime!" Gokudera snapped at her.

"It's okay Gokudera-kun, I'm sure Kurokawa-san didn't mean anything by it." The brunet tried to pacify his right hand man.

"Whatever, I don't care about what that Silver haired monkey has to say." She retorted.

"What was that?!" Gokudera barked back.

"Maa~ maa~ let's not argue anymore, ne Gokudera?" Yamamoto smiled.

"Don't you start yakyuu-baka!" The silverette just crossed his arms and continued to grumble to himself.

"Alright, that's enough of that." Reborn spoke up again. "Let's get going." He motioned for everyone to get up.

"Wha- you're cutting this meeting already?" Tsuna questioned. He wasn't all that upset about not getting any more questions; in fact, he was pretty thrilled, but it was just odd to suddenly stop.

"I'm sick of this. So if there are any more questions, don't be afraid to approach Tsuna." Reborn smirked at his student who just looked at the infant dumbfounded.

"Wha- why not you?!" Tsuna questioned.

"Then they'd have a reason to be afraid to ask." He answered as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "Saa~ let's continue with the tour." Reborn cut the question and answering short. The students were a little disappointed that they couldn't ask any more questions at the moment, but at the same time, after finding out about them being in the midst of mafia, they didn't think they'd have the nerve to ask anything else; especially now that they're being accompanied by some weird white haired person who had an ever present, eerie smile on his face. They all then stood up as Reborn jumped onto Tsuna's shoulder who led them all out. In the hall, they saw Emil standing in the middle of the corridor waiting for them.

"Hello once again everyone, if it's fine with you all, I'd like to reintroduce myself." Everyone just nodded, not minding what the man had to tell them. "My name is Emil Marvelli and I'm the head butler of the Japanese Vongola Mansion. I'm here to assist you all and lead you on your tour of the mansion. This tour is mostly meant for the Decimo and his guardians, but it was as per Sir Reborn's request to lead you all as well." He smiled at them. The kids all felt reassured that there were at least some normal people in the building. But now they had a few new questions popping up in their minds.

Tsuna just smiled at the man but then had a sudden realization. "He never actually called the maids for tea..." Tsuna pondered on this for a moment and didn't realize that the head butler had led them down the hall for a few minutes before stopping in the middle. Everyone wondered what the man was waiting for until he started to explain.

"From here, we will have to travel in 3 groups as the elevator can't carry everyone at once." He explained.

"Um... what elevator, Emil-san?" The class president, Maki Ayama, questioned after raising her hand. Even Tsuna and his guardians were confused. The man then pulled down on one of the small lights that looked like it was held in a tea cup on the wall and the wall split in two to reveal behind it, a pair of elevator doors with the Vongola Crest on it.

"So cliché..." Tsuna thought as he sweatdropped. Emil then placed a hand on the doors and suddenly, from his hand came a blue glow and the elevator opened revealing its shiny gold and velvet interior.

"Wow, what a nifty elevator room." The students were in awe of the lavish elevator.

"What came out of your hand just now?" Hayami Mai asked, not missing a single detail.

"It is something that I will explain later as we explore more of the esteemed Vongola Mansion." He smiled at her warmly and motioned for some to get in. Tsuna, Reborn, Gokudera, Yamamoto, Dino and Romario along with some other students, who were coincidentally Osamu, Masato, Kaoru and Arata were the first ones to go in. The elevator then closed and they started to go down.

After a few minutes, the doors opened again to reveal cream coloured walls with red and gold paint decorating certain places. The floor was nicely marbled with small chandeliers hanging from above. The corridor was lighted somewhat dimly, giving the area a certain ambiance. However, something else that they noticed were the scratches that appeared on the walls. The Vongola members guessed that it was that flying saucer that Shoichi mentioned before.

"Wow, you've really outdone yourself, Reborn." Dino looked around in approval as he and the other stepped out of the elevator. Despite the underground being one single level, it still presented itself nicely. The 4 regular school boys were amazed as well but couldn't bring themselves to comment at the risk of shaming themselves in front of these mafiaso.

"Haha, this seems a lot nicer than the base in the future." Yamamoto looked around with a smile. Tsuna had to agree since the base that they knew was plain and looked like an underground storage basement, with boxes piled around and wires and pipes coming in and going through the ceiling and walls.

"I guess these scratches come from Shoichi-kun and Spanner's invention." Tsuna sighed but gave a little smile, glad that his two friends haven't changed. "It seems a lot bigger too, and a whole lot nicer than upstairs, though the upstairs is still fairly nice." Tsuna commented.

"I told you I made a lot of upgrades. I can see that your future self made the future base as quickly as he could for safety reasons since Byakuran had been an unexpected threat then, but now that we are aware and prevented the threat of that selfish future parallel marshmallow loving weirdo, we had more time to plan and make this place more fit to live in." Reborn informed.

"Awwww~~ is that how you see me Reborn-kun?" The small group all turned around and saw the second group coming out of the elevator. Byakuran, Kyoko, Hana, Chrome, 3 other girls, including the class prez and Keiko, and Ryohei and Mochida came out.

"Not you, but the you that we defeated." He clarified.

"You guys talk about the future a lot." Mochida was getting annoyed by their code like conversations.

"What's it matter to you Bamboo Leech?!" Gokudera narrowed his eyes towards the older boy.

"It's annoying, that's what it is!" Mochida yelled back. Yamamoto then started to make his way towards the two yet again but this time didn't get to say a word as the two noticed him this time around.

"DON'T SAY A WORD YAKKYU-BAKA/BASEBALL NUT!" They yelled at the boy, before glaring back at each other. "DON'T COPY ME! SHUT UP!" They yelled at each other in unison.

"Haha, you guys are so in sync." The raven haired baseball ace laughed.

"WE ARE NOT, STOP THAT!" They yelled in unison again. Tsuna just sighed at the two before he felt a familiar, unnerving presence and looked around almost desperately.

"Kufufu, looking for me Sawada Tsunayoshi?" Mukuro suddenly appeared behind the brunet and surprised him along with his classmates who had no idea where he came from, not that anyone actually knew.

"Hieee Mukuro. When did you get here?" The small boy asked his mist guardian.

"After the little competition I had with the Skylark. I also came down here to meet my dear Chrome." He said as the last group finally made it down. Now Emil, Nezu, and the rest of the kids, 4 girls and 3 boys had joined them. Tsuna just brushed aside the fact that Mukuro had now joined the group but he just prayed that Mukuro would keep himself in check and not try to mentally disturb any of his classmates; though he couldn't really do anything about them being mentally disturbed just by his presence.

"Okay, so now that we are all together, are there any questions before start heading out?" Emil asked them all.

"Um..." Hisa raised her hand.

"Yes Sekine-san?" The man motioned for her to speak.

"Where are we exactly? Because I don't remember seeing any place for an elevator on the other floors of the mansion." She asked a bit hesitantly.

"Worry not, you've asked an excellent question." The girl brightened up at that. "We are currently underneath the mansion in an underground base, 20 feet underground to be exact. This is a secret facility used by the family in case of emergency. Now what kind of room shall we see first?" Emil looked around.

"Maybe we should see the essentials first." Hana suggested.

"That's a good point, Kurokawa-san. It is important to know where those kinds of rooms are before anything else." The head butler applauded her. The dark haired girl just nodded slightly in response.

"Saa, the first room we should see should be that one." Reborn signalled to the older man who nodded in understanding.

"I see, I do agree that it would be beneficial to locate and see your special room Sir Reborn." The man smiled and nodded.

"Beneficial for who exactly?" Tsuna thought worriedly, but followed likewise. The group didn't walk very far before they reached the first door. Emil opened it and let them all in to see a large room that was shaped in a half circle, the walls curving at the end they were standing at. Looking around, there were many pillows and plushies around with colourful blankets and such. There were also many plushies of Reborn in his cosplay outfits. All in all, the room looked very comfortable to just jump in and sleep.

"This is my nap room." Reborn told them.

"You made a room solely for napping? What about sleeping in your own assigned room?" Tsuna looked at the hitman in disbelief.

"Where's the fun in that? This place is big enough, why not make my own separate room? Besides, that's not all that's in here." Reborn informed with an evil glint in his eye. He then silently signalled for Emil to flip the switch.

"Everyone please stay standing where you are." Emil warned before complying to what the infant instructed. The room then started to rattle a bit before the floor underneath the platform they were standing on started to rotate and slowly revealed the other half circle of the room. As the other side of the wall started to appear, many kids started to pale and others tried to hold their lunch down from the horror.

On the other side of the room were many torture devices ranging from different time periods. Some looked medieval and some were futuristic, but still comparing to the other room which had pink, blue and many other colours, this room was dark and bleak, giving off a dreary feeling. The contrast was too much for most of the students to handle.

"Reborn what is this room?" Tsuna just had to question it.

"What does it look like, Dame-Tsuna? It's my personal torture chamber and there's a hatch that leads to a dungeon."

"Is that safe? That's very deep below surface." Reborn just had to sigh at his student's naivety still. Despite all that he's been through, he still worries about villains and enemies.

"It isn't like he'll leave them there to rot, so don't worry so much little bro. I'm sure Reborn wouldn't be that heartless." Dino tried to reassure. "I guess you should think of it as a holding cell before they're transferred to somewhere more secure." Tsuna seemed to brighten up a bit more hearing that.

"Kufufu, I can see the skylark and myself having a fun time in here." Mukuro put a hand on his chin and pondered the possibilities, smirking evilly to himself.

"Hn this is a pretty impressive room Reborn-kun. It reflects your personality very much." Byakuran said while munching on his marshmallows. Kyoko and Hana just looked around the room, Kyoko was a bit nervous about all the dangerous looking equipment but knew that Reborn wouldn't use it just for fun.

"So why'd you show us this room first, kid?" Yamamoto asked the hitman.

"To remind you all that you are guests in this estate and anything you break will be on your heads." The infant said to the group who all gulped and made a mental note to act more responsibly.

"Haha, you're funny. I'm sure Tsuna wouldn't be so mad if we broke anything." The ravenhaired boy smiled and swung an arm around said brunet.

"Yakkyu-baka! The things kept here are priceless heirlooms!" Gokudera snapped at the other's irresponsible response.

"Umm, maybe we should continue on Emil-san." Tsuna wanted to divert everyone's attention from the scary looking room.

"Very well, Tsuna-san. Shall we all continue on?" The man motioned for them all to exit as he flipped the switch and the room began to rotate again revealing the softer room. "Now coincidentally," "Or not so..." Thought Tsuna. "right next to Sir Reborn's room is the armory." They all only looked through the door and saw a deep room filled with weapons of all sorts, though mostly different types of guns and explosives, then followed by knives and swords.

"Of course, this is only one of the armories located in the mansion base due to the vastness of the estate. So there are multiple located near exits and some around the center." The butler explained. "We won't be going inside due to the danger of it, so we'll just continue on." He then led them further on. The group started to walk down the hall where they were met with a four way intersection. They all turned to go down the right hall and then into a large room that resembled the study that they were just in upstairs and it was really pretty much exactly as it was upstairs. Just like the room upstairs, there were windows that beamed in sunlight and showed the beautiful sky and gardens.

"How is that possible?" Kaoru, Osamu's friend, asked. "I mean, we're underground aren't we?!" They all started to murmur about how there could possibly be windows in this office.

"We didn't suddenly go back upstairs did we? Unless we were never really underground..." Masato reasoned.

"Nope, we're underground." Reborn stopped their confused chatter. "It's just a screen that's broadcasting from a security camera located outside the office window upstairs."

"Ah so if Juudaime were to ever be down here, he'd still be able to see what is going on outside!" Gokudera came to the realization and thought Reborn to be a genius.

"Wow, it's like magic~" Yamamoto was amazed as well.

"More like an illusion." Mukuro corrected.

"Amazing to the extreme!" Ryohei yelled as he examined the window closer. He touched it and saw the image wave slightly.

"Onii-san, be careful not to break anything!" Kyoko ran after her brother.

"Sasagawa! If you break anything, it will be your parents' responsibility, not of the school's."

"That's some innovation there kid." Mochida commented to Reborn.

"Who gave you permission to call me a kid?" The infant looked back towards the third year. Mochida flinched at the bloodlust being spouted by the hitman but he quickly shook it off.

"If that baseball nut is allowed to call you that, then why shouldn't I?" He looked back in the infant's eyes, trying to show that he wasn't totally afraid of him.

"Approved." The infant then walked off towards Tsuna who was trying to help Kyoko explain to Ryohei how the windows worked.

"Well, I see that you weren't entirely rejected by Reborn." Dino suddenly came by the Kendo club leader.

"What does that mean?" Mochida always seemed to not understand what these so called mafia people were talking about.

"You'll see eventually, if you get that far." Dino then left his side to talk with Romario.

"Haha, your family is as interesting as always, Tsunayoshi-kun~" Byakuran laughed from behind the group and continued to watch them. Mochida just looked at the white haired marshmallow muncher and didn't know what to think of him. Everyone seemed to treat him like an enemy, yet they were touring around the mansion with him. "Maybe everyone in the mafia is just crazy" He thought to himself and just decided to go along with it for now, but he was glad he brought his shinai with him.

"Fun little fact about this room." Emil announced as everyone stopped looking around and looked towards him. "This room is almost an exact replica of the office that the first of Vongola, the Primo, had used when he was alive." The students were amazed and felt like they were walking in a history.

"Amazing, isn't it Tsuna?" Yamamoto asked the boy who was snapped out of his thoughts.

"Yeah, though it makes me miss the old base from the future just a little bit." The brunet admitted, not that he was ungrateful to Reborn for all the upgrades. But it was more of a bittersweet feeling.

"You know, Tsuna-san," The head butler walked towards him. "There's even a secret file room hidden here for the convenience of you and your guardians. It's hidden down here for security for whenever the upstairs is destroyed, at least everything below ground will be more or less secure."

"Sounds very secure." Ryohei laughed.

"Ughh, I'm not even gonna bother." Gokudera grumbled to himself, though not as quietly as he thought. Tsuna was just happy that he was now making an effort to refrain himself from arguing over every single little thing that annoyed the bomber. The next few rooms they visited were the surveillance/security room, which was more or less made for Hibari as he surveilled the area. They then found the infirmary which was located in the same hall as all the bunkers. Each room was furnished and decorated differently while others looked almost exactly the same.

"Why do some of the rooms look different?" Hana asked out of curiosity.

"These rooms in this particular wing are specified for the main Vongola family while the rest down the other hall are for guests. However each one was made to accommodate each person with care and were ensured to have everything necessary for comfort."

"So who are the main Vongola family?" Yamada Arisa asked as Emil started to lead them further down the hallway.

"As aforementioned, the Vongola Decimo," the man motioned towards Tsuna who shied away from the attention. "as well as his guardians. Then there are their most precious people which may be their immediate family or very close friends." They all nodded, then Hisa, Mai and Hana looked at Chrome as the word 'guardians' was mentioned and they all remembered a very important fact, but before they could say anything, Emil started to talk about another room.

"Now we've arrived at the kitchen." The kids all marvelled at the state of the art machines that only high class chefs would use.

"This is like my dream kitchen~" the girls glanced at the kitchen in want. "It looks like those demo ones in the store~"

"Hey butler dude, what is steel door for?" The boys, who took less interest in the kitchen, stood in the hall and found a steel enforced door with a caution sign on the front. Everyone turned from the kitchen to see what they were talking about and Tsuna just looked at the door in disbelief.

"That's the laboratory." Reborn told them.

"Why would you put it right in front of the kitchen?! Where they make the food that we eat?!" Tsuna yelled at his tutor.

"Makes life more interesting." Reborn answered simply.

"How interesting?! You find food poisoning interesting?!"

"My dear Reborn finds my dishes interesting~?" A solemn voice suddenly spoke out. It surprised all the girls who were standing at the entrance of the kitchen and saw a tall woman with pink hair standing beside the doorframe. They wondered where she came from, but then pondered on whether she had already been in the kitchen but they were to mesmerized with the room itself that they didn't notice anyone inside.

"Bianchi-san!" Kyoko greeted.

"Gah! A-A-Ane..ki! Gaaahh!" Gokudera started to turn green before passing out.

"Whoa what happened to Gokudera?" Ibuki wondered.

"Sister complex." Tsuna informed, though everyone couldn't help but wonder how.

"Wow, I didn't know Gokudera-kun had an older sister." They girls commented.

"She's so pretty~"

"She's hot." The boys ogled.

"My dear brother is always so happy to see me." Bianchi patted her passed out brother before going towards Reborn who sat on Tsuna's shoulder. "Would you like to try my newest creation?" She asked the infant.

"I just ate but maybe Tsuna would. He hasn't eaten anything yet." Reborn passed the buck to his student casually.

"Hieee ahhh you see Bianchi, i-it would be rude to eat all by myself... in front of my classmates... s-so maybe another time. I'll survive not eating." Tsuna reasoned, trying not to hurt the other's feelings.

"I see, later on then." She then started to go back into the kitchen. Tsuna sighed in relief, glad he got out of testing the woman's poison cooking.

"Haa~ I would gladly eat any of her dishes." Masato sighed in admiration.

"I really doubt you would." Yamamoto put a hand on the boy's shoulder.

"Not gladly anyway." Dino added.

"Kufufu, I would like to see you try." The pineapple smirked.

"Mukuro-sama." Chrome chided the boy a bit.

"Hmhmmm, it was just a thought my dear." He reassured.

"Okay, so shall we see the laboratory now?" Emil suggested as the excitement died down. The students all nodded in excitement, wondering what it would look like.

Okay, now here are more students that I introduced:

Yamada Keiko (aka unknown girl in elevator) – just a girl in class (sorry girl)
Ito Keiko – friends with Osamu and them (possibly going out with one of them)
Yamada Arisa – just a girl in class and part of the school population that 'ridiculed' Tsuna behind his back

Note: most of the students ridiculed Tsuna though not directly while others didn't think so highly of him because of all the rumors against him, though they didn't really do anything bad to Tsuna. Everyone more or less didn't interact with him because of his bad reputation, some tried to be nice but it wasn't that big of a gesture.

Then there are some like Kyoko and Hana who don't care about the rumors ^^
