She felt numb it was the only word for it. She couldn't hear the others around her although she knew they were talking she felt aramis place his hand on her shoulder but she didnt stir. She just stared down at Constantine's unmoving form praying for him to wake up and be okay.

How could this have ever happened?

How could he really be gone?

Everything she had thought she knew was now ripped away from her.

It was my fault. She thought.

Had she just renounced how she felt about Murphy this never would have happened. She felt her skin start to tingle and closed her eyes on Instinct as the ground disappeared from beneath her.

She opened her eyes feeling hard ground beneath her again. They were back at the village. She felt Aramis kneel down beside her and she knew what he wanted.

He wanted her to let go. To hand Constantine over to him but she couldnt move.

If she let that happen then it would all be real he would really be gone.

She felt her heart wrenching in pain as she placed a hand to his forehead.

His skin was starting to lose its warmth and she felt her heart lurch again in despair as she brushed his hair from his eyes.

She felt her breathing getting harder as she leaned down and kissed his forehead gently. She felt as if her heart shattered as she lost her control and started to cry again.

He was gone.

Her best friend.

Her right hand man and confidant, was gone.

She could hear voices gathering around them but didnt care to her nothing else mattered right now. She felt her blood run cold as a voice cut through the crowd.

"What's going on"

"What is it, is it Michael or Marina?" They asked.

She looked up and felt her rage return as her eyes fell upon Lord Craven. She let go of Constantine feeling her power soaring with her rising anger.

Aramis wasted no time in taking the chance to take Constantine from her. Probably fearing that if he didn't do it now she would change her mind.

She got to her feet and didn't realize she was moving until she came within a few inches of nailing Lord Craven in the face. She was stopped however by Declan.

"Whoa have you g on mad?" He asked as he pulled her away.

"You son of a bitch, you did this."

"Your the reason he's dead." She yelled angrily struggling against Declan.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Michael asked confused but on edge.

"He's the one who turned Leon against us."

"He promised him that he could have me if he gave him purgatory." She announced and saw the look of dread run over Craven's face.

"She's gone mad with grief." Craven stated making her go over the edge.

She felt it click inside of her like a switch. That side of her she had only used twice. She felt her power soaring up inside of her felt her skin tingling, felt Gabriel let go of her as she stepped forward.

Her anger was beyond her, past any human feeling. She could didn't know what she was going to do but before she could comprehend it her hands were around Craven's throat his eyes filling her line of vision as she felt herself squeezing his throat tighter and tighter.

She could feel the pulse in his throat against her hands as it sped up.

She felt Michael beside her, felt him grab her wrist to pull her away but she refused to budge.

She felt his power flare and a spark of anger rose up inside of her at him trying to stop her from ending the man before her.

After they had watched Constantine die a slow death.

She let go with one hand and shoved him away harder then she intended. She heard him crash against a wall and heard the people around her whispering she didn't care, didnt look at any of them.

"You tried to kill me, you tried to have Michael killed and because of your motives to open purgatory, Constantine is dead." She yelled her anger boiling over inside of her as the man before her just smirked.

She clenched her hands around his throat harder and he flinched in pain and gasped for air but to no avail.

Her blood was hammering through her veins her body shaking in anger and she couldn't stop it. It was consuming her body and beginning to pierce her soul.

She felt a cool hand on her arm and she looked over in suprise at the touch and met Murphy's eyes.

He didn't back down or look away. He was silent as he slid his hand down her arm and touched her hand on Craven's throat. She felt her anger stifle a little and didnt lash out at him as he walked around her and placed his hand on her arm and repeated his action on the other side.

She felt her body shaking as she became aware of herself again and how heavy she was breathing now.

"Marina," His voice whispered making her heart ache as the grief slowly returned, "He will pay for Constantine's death but not like this." He whispered making her hands shake as he slowly grasped them and pulled them slowly from Craven's neck.

The man gasped for breath as he hunched over and Declan and Lucien were pulling him to his feet and dragging him to holding.

She felt her breathing starting to become less frantic and flinched as he wrapped his arms around her. Her mind flashed to Constantine and how he had comforted her when the man behind her left.

She reached up and touched his hands and he let go of her slowly. She turned and looked over at Michael as he walked up wiping the blood from his lip.

"Next time a little warning would be nice." He tried to tease but she didnt respond. "He will pay sis." Michael assured making her nod mutely before she was moving.

She didn't know where she was going but she didn't have the strength to care.

*****Murphy*****

He watched her slowly moving away from him as a voice broke through his thoughts.

"The hell is going on here?"

He felt his heart race and watched her stop as she turned to face the person behind them. He faced them as well and smiled seeing Smecker behind them leaning against a post arm in a sling and face bruised up but alive.

"Smecker thank god." He breathed moving towards him.

"How did you survive?" He asked curious.

"Better yet how did you find us?" Declan asked walking up beside him.

"I survived by your Ma shoving me down the basement stairs and convincing the men who attacked that there was no one else there but Eunice and her."

"The next thing I remember is an explosion and debris then everything went black."

"I wound up trapped but alive and was stuck for two days." "It wasn't until a few hours ago a guy showed up and saved me." "Like he knew where to find me." Smecker mused.

"He glanced over at Declan who swallowed hard and licked his lips before asking the question he was afraid too.

"This man, what was his name?" Declan asked his voice shaking a little. Smecker thought for a moment and snapped his fingers.

"Constantine, his name was Constantine." "He said he knew you guys, said he would take me somewhere safe to wait for you to show up."

"Imagine my suprise ending up here." He mused looking around. He felt Declans grief from beside him as he confirmed what they had both thought and looked back to see Marina gone.

"He never could sit still and do nothing while everyone else was out." Declan mused sadly.

"So you know him?" Smecker asked making him flinch as Declan nodded.

"Knew him, Knew him fairly well." He stated his voice thick with grief.

"What are you talking about?"Smecker asked confused look over at him. "He's dead." He whispered lowly.

Smecker stared at him in shock and shook his head slowly as he looked over at Declan.

"I'mIm sorry I didn't know I...how could you, he just passed not even twenty minutes ago." Declan informed bitterly and started away from them. They watched him for a moment before Smecker spoke again.

"Im sorry I didnt mean to...its alright, he's just hurting right now." He assured.

"How did he die?" He asked making him swallow the lump of guilt in his throat.

"We went out on a mission to rescue Eunice and Ma."

"We ran into trouble so I smashed the soul gem Constantine gave me incase something like that happened."

"We were cut off from Marina."

"Leon was impersonating Constantine and was going to kill her if she didnt renounce her feelings for me."

"She refused, and before any of us knew what was going to happen Constantine broke down the door with his grace and got in between her and Leon."

"We couldn't heal him due to the bullet containing sin so he..." He trailed off as the pain settled in his gut.

"Sorry I...don't." Smecker interrupted.

"I get it." He informed making him nod as he took a shaking breath to calm his nerves.

"Im gonna go find Marina and make sure she's okay." He informed stepping away from them.

"Yeah go she shouldn't be alone." Smecker agreed giving him a sympathetic smile.

He nodded in thanks and started towards the walkway. He wasn't sure where to go first but something was pulling him towards her room.

He rounded the corner and stopped seeing her door halfway open. He slowly approached as he waited for something to fly out of it but it never came.

He slowly glanced in and saw her standing at her desk laying out her weapons and cleaning them.

She had no tears on her face or a hint of sadness.

"It's not nice to spy." She called making him smirk.

"Not really spying if im not hiding now is it?" He teased making her shake her head as he walked in.

"What are you doing?" He asked as he watched her start putting her gun back together.

"What does it look like im doing?" She asked her voice firm with no hint of the happiness and life it once contained.

"Marina you need to...dont." She snapped suddenly as she looked over at him. "Don't be that person right now." She replied the edge less fierce in her voice.

"I don't want to talk about it." She explained placing the gun down before facing him.

He swallowed his response and nodded slowly. "What do you want to do then?" He asked trying to fight the urge to scold her for being stubborn. "I'm at your disposal to do what you wish." He explained making her smirk.

"Thanks." "Right now though we need a bath before dinner." She informed making him smirk.

"We, does that mean I get to join you?" He asked making her chuckle.

"I don't know maybe I'll just make you hold my towel." She replied making him laugh.

"Well if im having to hold your towel on you I may just do a horrible job." He replied making her roll her eyes as she stsrted towards him.

"So is that a yes?" She asked making him starr at her in suprise.

"If you want me too." He replied making her shrug.

"I don't know I've never bathed with someone else before." She informed making him smile.

"Tell ya what lass you go on and clean up and I'll get my stuff unpacked and meet you in the mess hall for dinner." He replied making her nod slowly.

"Alright then deal." She replied making him smirk.

"Deal." He repeated as he straightened up and went to leave. He stopped feeling her grab his arm. He turned back towards her and met her gaze.

"Everything..."he was cut off as she hugged him suddenly. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. He could feel the grief bubbling up inside of him and couldn't allow himself to let it show now.

"Thank you for not pushing me." She whispered beforr burying her face in his shoulder. He hugged her tighter and smirked.

"I'd never push you." He replied making her nod in understanding. He slowly pulled back and looked down at her.

"When your ready to let it all out just promise me you won't be alone." He offered making her nod mutely. "Come on then you'd best clean up." He ordered making her smirk.

"Thanks." She replied and heads out of her room with him.
