Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, or Rose, or the Doctor, or Mickey (Rickey!), or anything else of any concern.

So I haven't written in like a week or something, but I am NOT going off FanFic! So this is a Doctor/Rose fic that's like after Doomsday (not sure when, but I guess it doesn't matter). I've been remembering Doomsday and it was SO sad! I love Rose! ='(

Rose Tyler ran along the streets of London, her golden coloured hair flying after her. To most people, it was a regular day, for work and chatting and killing time, but for Rose, it was everything. She was home.

She reached the alleyway in a very short time. Though she knew the TARDIS landed anywhere, she thought of this place whenever she thought of the TARDIS, and she wondered if, by some magic, it would come.

As the sun started to set, Rose settled down on a bench. She knew the TARDIS wouldn't come, knew it was silly to wait there, but she couldn't bring herself to leave. It was as if every small hope had disappeared after she'd been taken from The Doctor, but now they were all flooding back, enveloping her in their strength.

"Rose, what are you doing?" Rose brightened at the voice but, realising it wasn't The Doctor, turned around only reluctantly.

"Sitting," she said plainly to Mickey.

Mickey glanced around, then sat down on the bench next to Rose. "This is where The Doctor used to land, isn't it?"

Rose smiled weakly and nodded. "Yes. I can't help but thinking-it's silly, but-"

Mickey laughed, though it wasn't really a funny laugh, and was more of a heavy, somber laugh. "He might come," he said, though he sounded doubtful.

Rose caught the tone and looked away. "When do we have to go back?"

"We have until tomorrow," Mickey said reassuringly. "The Doctor might come."

Rose smiled, and was just about to answer when a voice said, "Wow, Rickey, you might have the gift of prophesy."

Rose leaky up, immediately recognising the voice. "Doctor! Doctor! You're-you're here! What are you doing here?"

"I just thought I'd pop back for a visit," The Doctor said, laughing. Rose giggled, and then was hugging him. Then she was hugging Mickey, and Mickey was laughing with The Doctor, and then Rose was crying and clinging onto The Doctor.

"Where did you land?" she asked as they walked towards London. "I thought you'd be there."

"Nah, I fancied a new place," The Doctor said jokingly. "And I thought I'd check out this place before I started my vacationing. But enough about me. How are you here?"

Rose, who was still holding tight to The Doctor, did not laugh. "It's complicated," she said simply. "But we only have until tomorrow. I can't travel with you."

The Doctor stopped laughing, too, though from the look in his eyes, he'd already known that. "I'm sorry, he said, looking at Rose, and then at Mickey. How has it been?"

With that, Rose burst into fresh tears. "I haven't seen you!" she exclaimed. "It's been horrible!"

The Doctor stopped walking and turned to face Rose. "Perk up. You'll see me again. You'll always see me again. And until then, you have Rickey."

"Mickey," Mickey said automatically.

The Doctor smiled. "Don't spoil the mood," he said.

Rose couldn't help it. She laughed.

Did you like it? I hope so!

I know this is virtually pointless, but when is a fanfic ever pointful (pointed... Pointy... Not sure what the word is...)? No fanfic saves the world or stops hunger. I wish, but no! So this is pointless, but isn't everything? Maybe not...?
