Sorry guys this is just the back story.. Kinda slow, but it will get better.

I don't own Fairy Tail... (Wish I did)

Lucy heard the rumble even before she turned to look. Upon turning, she screamed and dodged the lane of fire shooting past her from Natsu's last attack. He never seemed to pay attention as to where he was aiming.

She tripped on some tree root and looked up as she heard the black-haired, ice-mage yell her name to meet yet even more flames. Just before they burned her however, Gray ran in front of her yelling his trademark "Ice make, Shield!" covering the two of them in a protective dome of ice. She just stared as she watched the fire make its way over the ice, creating water-y light patterns on her face.

Erza and Natsu just had to keep going and taking jobs for disbanding dark guilds didn't they? This was the third guild this week.

After Gray's shield melted away, Lucy yelled her thanks to him before getting up to run for her original destination, her keys, which had been torn away to fly into some bushes.

Before she got there though, one of the guys, a tall lanky guy with blond hair got in her way.

"Where ya think you're going girlie?" Lucy grimaced as her hand slowly inched to her hip, hoping to try and grab her whip before this guy noticed. Once she grabbed it he snorted at her, "Oh no ya don't, little one."

The mage reached into his own little leather pouch by his side to pull out a hand full of little silver balls. Before Lucy could wonder, he threw them up in the air and using his hands, made them float there above his head. "Hmm... What to do with you?"

Using one hand to keep them levitated, he held his other in front of him and drew it into a half-closed fist, causing three of the spheres to lower and float just above his hand. By opening his hand slightly, the spheres grew in size, and after moving his fingers, the silver rippled together to make a bomb. He lobbed it at her, causing it to explode behind her.

Next thing she knew, Lucy was flying through the air because of the explosion. Yet she managed to get her whip and lash out to wrap around the bland mage's arm. She landed in a crouch and began to viciously whip him as he blindly threw the mini balls, making little explosions go off everywhere.

Lucy dodged, bounding back and forth, trying to avoid the mini bombs. She drew her arm back, but before she could crack out at him, Erza burst from the treeline, fighting another mage. Erza turned an ran into the thin mage that was Lucy's opponent, and began to fight him also. Natsu and Gray followed, each fighting their own perspective enemies.

Lucy just started to run for her keys, not noticing Gray yelling after her. Another of Natsu's flames had missed, but as Lucy grabbed her keys and turned, the flame hit a nearby, forgotten bomb that had managed to not explode, now did, hitting Lucy full-on, causing her to fly through the air and land on the ground.

The last thing Lucy remembered was the night sky, softly shining above her.

Bad ending! Well I'm working on the next chapter right now, so hope to have it up before Monday.. Loke finds his way into the story finally. Rate, review, all the normal stuff thanks!
