I'm BAAAAAACK. HIIIIIIII and thank you for the REVIEWS! They do count when it comes to updating, I promise I have not abandoned this story! I actually enjoyed writing this story. I had to re-read it though, because the last time I updated it, I was still in high school! WOW that seems like forever. Actually 4 years to be exact. So you can imagine a lot has happened since then. I tried to write in the same style as before, so if things don't match up- DO LET ME KNOW and I'll edit it. Thank you all again for your patience, and I am SO SO SORRY once again. I hope you enjoy. Love ~The Author.
Mercedes hugged Kurt upon seeing him at her front door. She already told her family Kurt needed a safe place for the time being and they had been generous enough to agree to let Kurt stay as long as he needed. Sebastian managed to get Blaine and Wes to go while he took care of the mess, just while Blaine dropped Kurt of. He wanted to ensure Kurt got someplace safe before he headed back to help.
"Dad!" Kurt yelled in relief when he saw his father staring into space in Mercedes's kitchen. He broke out of his trance upon seeing Kurt though. "Oh thank god," Blaine was beside him looking awkward as he released Kurt from his hold and Kurt ran to his father. Burt looked up and saw Blaine in the distance.
"Don't say it's all my fault…I know It is, I'm just here to drop him off and I'll go. Don't go to your house until I say it's safe. I don't want any of them hurting either of you. I love your son, I don't care if you believe me or not, but I'll do everything I can to protect him. I am sorry he met me," Kurt was about to object but Blaine shook his head and looked at him sadly "You wouldn't be in this situation Kurt and don't deny it just because you think you know me," At that he reached out and stroked Kurt's cheek, not caring his father was watching him look into those beautiful eyes. "I'm so sorry," He leaned over and kissed the cheek before turning on his heel.
"Blaine," Burt called out as he was walking to the door.
Blaine turned around slightly. Kurt looked at him tearfully, so Blaine avoided his gaze because he couldn't handle THAT.
"Thank you for getting him home,"
Blaine nodded and shuffled his feet awkwardly. He didn't do parents. Ever – his own parents didn't give a fuck about him, why should Burt?
"Be safe," He heard Kurt whisper as he closed the door.
If only that was possible he thought.
Blaine sighed, staring at the closed door of Mercedes's house. Wes was nearby and was waiting at his bike with hands over his chest. "Ready Anderson?"
"Wes?"
"Yeah…"
"I think it's time you call me Blaine,"
Wes's eyebrow rose, but then slowly he grinned. Blaine wondered if he had pushed it too far.
"It'd be my pleasure Blaine, let's go kick asses,"
They were quiet as they rode. At the traffic light Wes wasn't looking but he didn't have to.
Blaine was always there.
"You love him don't you,"
"Hm?"
"You love Kurt,"
"Whatever man,"
"Blaine, you can't fool me. I've known you longer than anyone,"
"Fine smartass, I do happy?"
"Well why don't you go back?"
Blaine sighed heavily as it began raining. His jacket was getting soaked but he didn't care. It felt good to have the coldness on him.
He looked slightly to Wes before the lights turned. Wes always knew how to hit the nail on the head.
"Kurt deserves better,"
Wes didn't answer, but Blaine figured it was because the light was green and he rode slightly ahead of him, so whatever he did say, Blaine wouldn't have been able to hear.
Meanwhile while the boys drove….somewhere in Westerville The Ex's were walking in on Sebastian.
"Well…well well…look what we have here," Chandler said kicking one of the dead bodies that was on the room as he crowded Sebastian with his gang.
One of the gang members Logan, was holding a tied up Nick. Nick had been the one pretending to be Kurt. They caught him. They had managed to catch him.
Sebastian tried not to panic. Panicking only made things worse- as they'd do more damage knowing it's people you care about then if they didn't know that.
Nick had a sock in his mouth. Jeff was also with Nick and also tied at the wrist like his best friend. They were eyeing Sebastian with the gun in his hands. They had knives at their throats. Chandler chuckled when he noticed the gun being raised.
"If you kill us, you kill them Meerkat,"
"Don't call me that," Sebastian hissed.
"Isn't that what they call you?" Logan laughed.
"No and you damn well know it," Sebastian fumed. "Hey now…let's not get hasty," Chandler warned as he stroked Sebastian's cheek and then brought up a knife to cut it.
"Wouldn't want more damage to that face of yours,"
Sebastian didn't scream when the cut was made. Instead he pushed Chandler out but then he heard Nick struggling loudly, and glanced over to see they had cut his cheek as well.
"The more you resist us, the more they get hurt," Sebastian was glaring at Chandler.
Right then Chandler took the gun of Sebastian while Sebastian was trying to calm Jeff and Nick with his eyes. He tried to tell them as much as he could by looking at them without saying anything so that he didn't notice the gun being taken.
Fucking Damn it. The door opened quietly. Wes and Blaine had come.
Oh for fuck's sake. They were going to get themselves killed the fucking morons!
Sebastian watched as Blaine sneaked up behind Chandler. Wes was handling the ones that had Nick and Jeff in their custody and managed to beat them to the ground without Chandler seeing.
Blaine was about to attack Chandler by grabbing the gun but then Chandler turned around and shot Blaine.
"NO!" Sebastian yelled.
"You think you can fool me armatures?'
Chandler laughed when blood pooled from Blaine's chest and then turned to Wes but Wes ducked in time. "Stay out of the way Montgomery, and I might spare you,"
He turned back to Sebastian.
"No chance for you though Meerkat, I'm sorry but you're too big of a threat,"
Sebastian waited for the impact and closed his eyes. Why did he even get into this lifestyle in the first place if this was the way he was going to die?
Because nobody loved him, that's why.
Nobody cared enough to fight for him.
Or so that's what he thought.
The gun shot didn't hit Sebastian and instead hit the roof.
Karofsky was behind Chandler. The chubby boy had come.
WHY YOU FUCKING IDIOT. WHY.
"What the hell are you doing here!?" Sebastian screamed at him.
"JUST SHUT UP BAS," Dave yelled. "You can't do everything on your own, and who the fuck do you think you are to just kiss a boy and run"
Dave looked to Wes who was kneeling beside Blaine.
"Is Blaine alive?"
Wes looked up with a tearful face. Wes rarely cried. It couldn't be good. "Yes, but if we don't get him help….he'll die," Wes cradled Blaine against him. He was like a brother to him.
"Go. I've got this," Dave insisted who was pushing Chandler down on the ground like they were in a boxing ring or something as Azimio and a few more of his gang came in. Wes was carrying Blaine before looking to Jeff and Nick. Azimio just shook his head. "We'll get them out man, just go or you'll never get him help,"
Sebastian repeated his question. "Why the fuck are you here?"
"I told you I'd have some guys come after you," Dave told Sebastian who rolled his eyes, just then Chandler struggled out of Dave's grip. He managed to shoot him as well.
Satisfied when Dave hit the ground. He was about to do the same with Sebastian once again but Sebastian was still in shock to notice. He was staring horrified at Dave's lifeless body.
No...please...god no...he shouldn't have died...
It should have been me...
"It should have been me! NOT HIM," He screamed.
"Don't worry Meerkat, you'll be joining him soon..."
Jeff had been untied by Azimio and tackled Chandler to the ground before he could do anything.
When Chandler got shot in the head evidently killing him by Jeff...Sebastian crawled over to the now lifeless body of Dave.
"Karofsky?"
His hand went to David's cheek. "Come on...you gotta open your eyes...please..."
