Chapter 1- The Actress
"The president would be with you at a second," a young assistant said as she served a cold glass of water. The assistant soon left and Kyouko waited.
Kyouko looked around nervously at the President's office. It was in the afternoon and the president asked her to meet him at his office for some business. The president had called her when Kyouko was trying to go shopping with her fellow Love Me Section members and a certain president was running late. Why did it have to be this day that he asked to meet her?
Suddenly, confetti and fireworks shoot out from outside and a red carpet rolled down from the office's door to a seat in front of Kyouko.
President Takarada walked down the red carpet in a tuxedo with cool spy like glasses.
Kyouko got up and bowed as the president sat down.
"Sit down…sit down…You… servants leave my office…okay now let's see….I called you here to discuss with you about a new LME assignment," President Takarada said.
Kyoko looked up confused at President Takarada's fast-like talking.
"What?" Kyouko asked confused. The president sighed.
"I recommended you to the first and new drama Director Ogata wrote himself," the president explained. "Here is the script…hurry I got 100 white horses and an old carriage to approve of and one of them is not patient."
The president handed Kyouko a thick script of the pilot. Kyouko took the script.
"It's about a love triangle… it has more than three people though," the president explained. "Your character is the antagonist."
Kyouko shot her head right up.
"The antagonist!" Kyouko repeated, displeased.
The president sighed.
"Your character is characterized as the protagonist in the past, but with her past, she slowly becomes the antagonist."
Kyouko looked down and thought about it. She can either get a role in a big drama or struggle to get her revenge on Shou.
"I'll do it" she said. "Just give me a day to think more about this alone."
The president nodded.
AT KYOUKO'S ROOM
As thunder crackled and lightning came down from the sky on a cold hard raining night, Kyouko took out the thick white script with black and gold cursive writing on the front.
"Beautiful Tears," Kyouko read. "A Drama. Once upon a time there was a girl….
In the beginning of the script…
It all started with a simple visit to the park. The little girl, Tanaka Minako was clutching her mother, Tanaka Aimi's hand in fear. Her mother was whispering to her about a man that was going to visit her.
"Minako," her mother smiled. "When we get there, I want you to hug him."
"Why okaasan?" Minako asked her mother, clutching her bunny in fear. "Who is he?"
Aimi smiled sadly and bended down to look at her daughter in the eye. Katsuro missed a big part of her daughters' life. But it wasn't his fault. It was Ayaka's doing...no...yes...
Katsuro loved both women. As much as he loved Aimi, Ayaka was his priority. She had two children with powerful and heavy hearted destinies that needed her... and Katsuro. It would be plain cruel if she just left two innocent children stranded alone...but Aiko and Minako needed her father. She had no money to support Minako and Aiko forever. They were going broke and Aiko was very ill and she needed to be treated as soon as possible. Also, Minako needed some support as much as she can.
"A friend," Aimi whispered. "Now, don't worry, he won't hurt you. Promise me that you will be brave, like a soldier...just like your older sister." Minako nodded.
"I promise, okaasan," Minako nodded eagerly, saluting. Aimi smiled.
"That's my little girl," Aimi said. Aimi got up and continued to walk down the path, her daughter skipping ahead of her. Until...
In front of them was a man. A tall dark haired man dressed in an elegant suit and coat. He was obviously rich and didn't seem to go with Aimi's cheap outfit.
"Aimi," the man whispered. Aimi breathed in sharply.
"Katsuro," Aimi whispered.
Aimi watched her child play on the swings in silence.
"I haven't seen you since..."Katsuro said quietly.
Aimi nodded. She knew what he meant.
"You were busy," Aimi nodded, her voice was a bit cold.
"I didn't mean to leave you like that," Katsuro tried to explain. "It's just that Ayaka and my parents..."
"You had a duty," Aimi whispered. "I was just insignificant."
Katsuro sharply turned to Aimi in shock. He shook her in anger.
"YOU are NOT insignificant," Katsuro shook Aimi. "Ayaka needed me and I had to go to her. And after that, life became to hectic."
Aimi pushed herself off of Katsuro.
"Don't touch me," Aimi spat. "I know what you done. But when I told you about Minako and Aiko, you could have send a card or something that showed that you cared. But it's too late. Aiko is older now and is almost capable of taking care of her little sister. They doesn't need anyone deceiving her."
Katsuro ran his fingers through his hair.
"How was I suppose to explain to Ayaka the card on my desk or why I am leaving all the time," Katsuro said, frustrated. "Ayaka always checks my desk papers every night after I finish them so that she can make sure I did them right. She is more of the business woman between the two of us."
Aimi sighed. He was right.
Katsuro took Aimi's hand and put it against his chest.
"I love you," he said softly. "But you need to understand that even though my feelings for Ayaka are not strong as my feelings for yours, I need to take care of Ayaka and the children we share. Ayaka is a determined and headstrong women. If she found out the reason why I divorced her...or found out I wanted to divorce her at all...she would make sure my children hate me or make sure I never see them again. I love Aiko and Minako but Miyako and Miyoko are under my family's power. Miyoko and Miyako are the future heiresses of my family's global power. And only one of them will take the chair. They both need my guidance and I know my family will disown me if I do leave. My family will crumble with just my children's potential of fighting over power."
Aimi sighed and nodded.
"I understand but...how will we make sure we are all together?" Aimi asked. "I cannot ask for money but what I need the most is a father figure for Minako."
Katsuro sighed and embraced Aimi.
"I don't know," he confessed. "But as long as we are together, it will be all right."
And so they hugged but what they never did realize is that a black haired women with chaebol styled clothing was watching them, hidden in the trees.
Ayaka stared at her bastard of a husband with his mistress.
"Just wait," she whispered. "Just wait."
BACK WITH KYOUKO
Kyouko frowned at the family's drama.
"And affair!" Kyouko cried. "I don't want to play a sad character!" Kyouko cried till she remembered something.
"Father would not approve of me being picky," Kyouko scolded herself. "I will take the job. It doesn't matter if I want to be her. I just have to find me in her."
