Nearly Lost it There
Down,
Deeper,
Darkness drags her,
Distraught is her mind,
Distressed, her tone,
Damnation only to find,
Devoid is this home.
Red,
Red,
Red runs around her,
Ruining her heart,
Roaming her eyes,
Remaining from the start,
Reining in her tries.
Further,
Faster,
Forever fails her,
Frantic are her legs,
Forgeries fumble,
For a bullet she begs,
Faint is her mumble.
Powerless,
Panting,
Pain pales her,
Pausing, she thinks,
"Pointless to weep."
Pride blinks,
"Promises to keep."
Strength,
Sanctuary,
Sleep, seems far from her,
Smiling, she bows her head,
Slowly rolling it back in laughter,
Silently her tears tread,
Sanity has yet to leave her.
