Chapter 22: The Starting Point

A/N: I do not owe the movie I am paying a ode too in this scene. Will tell you the movie series at the end of the chapter. But read and guess first please since it will probably be a no brainer without going to the end of the chapter to find out.

One month had passed since the training in the time chamber. Life had went on its usual way as it had always done for quite a long time. People were hustling and bustling down the Nerima district as they went about their day. Consumers were at the shops, buying merchandise and among the people were a certain purple haired amazon and her boyfriend, who were looking around a stand full of herbs and spices for future meals. Shampoo reached for the sage and Gohan smiled as he handed a small amount of money to the man.

"Sage would be good for tonight's fish," Shampoo pointed out.

"I can't wait," Gohan replied to his girlfriend.

Gohan thought of the whole thing and pondered on how it was roundabout time for the demon warriors to enter the Earth. Though part of him wanted for them to just not land on the planet at all, another part of him wished that they would make their appearance known. The teen after all wanted to see if his training with his father was enough for the ruffians that were making their way through space.

Shampoo smiled as she handed the bag full of herbs and spices to Gohan and grabbed his arm. The warrior smiled at his girlfriend, thinking that all was right with the world for now. That peace however was short lived when Gohan detected a few ki's above them at a much higher level than they were in quite a while.

'Ranma, Mousse, Ryouga and...what's that evil ki that they are chasing,' Gohan pondered to himself as he looked at the skyward direction of the chase. Gohan looked over at Shampoo who nodded at her boyfriend.

"Shampoo deliver herbs, you go see what Ranma is chasing. Shampoo will join you afterwards ok," Shampoo sternly told her boyfriend.

"Good plan dear," Gohan stated before flying in the direction of the heightened ki's.

The saiyan got there in front of the evil ki source. It was the same urn that contains Reaper's spirit. The demonic vessel stood in front of the saiyan and laughed. Ranma threw a blast at the container, only to be slapped away.

"We'll it feels like the Sword of the True Ruler is closing in on this planet. You think you can stop me spiky. You think you can stop me just because you have spiky hair," the urn taunted. Gohan just growled at the vessel and turned Super Saiyan. However all of the sudden the urn began to glow blue and became subdued. Gohan felt another ki down below, one he hadn't felt since he first heard of the urn. A second being, who also was there when the revelation took place, teleported to the scene.

"Gohan, strike the urn!" shouted Kibito. Gohan then gave the container a good double axe handle blow and sent it down to the Earth. The result was a hole about the size of the urn around into a back alley with it digging a depth of around 50 feet before stopping. The group went down to where the hole was forcefully dug and found the urn dormant, but no physical damage.

"Thank you Gohan. I did not know how long I could hold Reaper's container in place," came a voice. The group looked over at the source and it was the source of the ki on the ground. Dai Kaioushin smiled at the group of fighters.

"Well let's just hope that whoever comes for that thing, they better pray we don't kick their ass," Ranma boasted. Akane rolled her eyes at her confident fiancee, while the rest of the fighters were still on edge, ready for the thing to just spring back to life.

"I believe Mr. Saotome that Reaper was so easily subdued because he is sealed inside the urn and incapable of accessing his full power at this very moment. I would say destroy the urn, but that would probably wind up releasing him. As you can see, Gohan as a Super Saiyan was only able to silence what's inside for now as it survived the blow. Though this little event could be used to our advantage however.." Dai Kaioushin explained to the group.

"Let me guess, because it alerted us that his group of demons are coming in real soon. All we have to do is keep watch and wherever they land we will be there. He might've gotten himself unable to leave the urn," Gohan pointed out.

"Precisely Gohan. I do trust that you, your students and the other Z fighters watch over the planet very carefully. Maybe we will stop the threat before it even starts. I will also assist you," Dai Kaioushin told the group. Gohan contacted each of the group on his cell phone and telepathically contacted Piccolo. After several short phone conversations and one very short telepathic session the Z fighters and their students met with Gohan and his group.

"So we should be on the lookout for anything that looks demonic, alien or just plain freaky..."Krillin said to the group, to which they confirmed. Then a familiar blond looked at Gohan with a smile on her face.

"Hello dear," Asuka smiled.

"What the...oh hello Asuka, how are you," Gohan sweatdropped and Shampoo glared at the sight of her enemy to Gohan's love. Juuhaichigou smiled at the scene between her student and the couple. She did like Gohan, or at the very least was not uber annoyed by him, and she didn't have any grudge against Shampoo, but her student's memory lapses began to annoy the cyborg a great deal over the course of the month. Gohan however backed away a bit as she approached. The woman then turned her attention to Shampoo, who kept her glare.

"Ladies, you can fight over him another time. Asuka it's time for you to focus on the task at hand," Juuhaichigou ordered. Asuka turned to Gohan and let him have one last smile before going to eighteen.

"If it's ok, I'm going to patrol with Gohan ok honey," Krillin told his wife.

"Go ahead, I'll take Asuka and Kodachi," Juuhaichigou replied before the two of them pecked on the lips.

"If you don't mind, I will guard the urn to make sure it don't escape. Ryouga, Mousse will guard it with me," Piccolo said to which Gohan nodded.

"I believe I will join you on the hunt Gohan. Even if I have to tolerate the former cue ball over there," Vegeta said as him and the two Trunkses joined with him and Goten.

"Actually I'm going over to help Tien. We have to have another Super Saiyan somewhere else just in case," Future Trunks pointed out. Gohan nodded in agreement. The teen would ask Vegeta to go with one of the human Z fighters, but he knows that he is the only living Z fighter that the Prince could halfway tolerate.

"Good idea, but I have a better one. How about you and the two kids look over your own part of the earth. That way I believe we can cover more ground. Tien is pretty capable and this is only a scouting mission for the moment," Gohan suggested.

"Hmm...ok I guess you have a good point Gohan, but unless you are capable of Instant Transmission I don't think it's going to work," Future Trunks replied. Gohan smiled as he put two fingers to his head and found a strong ki. Gohan disappeared and after a few moments reappeared with a knocked out Happosai.

"Wow...I see panties in the shape of stars," the elder man said with a slurred voice as he laid on his back where Gohan placed him.

"That proves it I guess. Though did you really have to knock out the little freak?" F. Trunks replied.

"Well I had to stop him from stealing panties somehow. Anyway we are agreed right guys," Gohan said to which they nodded.

"Yay, we get to go with Big Trunks!" shouted a chipper Goten. Trunks just gave a big smile to his future self. Though they were the exact same person down to the fingerprints, they behave more like brothers.

"Good, now one thing I must make clear. Students don't do anything rash or try to be a hero. If you see something out of the ordinary alert your sensei and the two of you raise your ki. That will be a signal for us to convene at the sighting. Like I just proved, I am capable of instant transmission so I will be there mthan the others. Whoever comes with me please do not latch on to me for I want you to be an element of surprise to the enemy. You can track ki so you will meet me soon enough. Now let's hunt some evil demons," Gohan said as the group flew into each of their little subgroups to comb the earth for any sign of activity.

Gohan and the others went over to the islands of Hawaii and the continent of North America to patrol. As the group looked over the islands Krillin went over to Gohan to get his attention.

"Sorry about the whole thing with Asuka. Her little memory problem really bugged Juuhaichigou and she figured that it was something to do with the Amazons so she got Cologne to give her the cure," Krillin apologized.

"It's ok, I'll just deal with her another time. Right now I want to see that ship come in so we can counter whatever strategy they have,"Gohan replied to the man he pretty much considers an uncle.

"You sure we might not just find a scouting party or something," Krillin replied, part of him not wanting to fight the big, bad guy right away. He didn't want to be the punching bag he was with Frieza, nor did he want to be totally ineffective like he was against Cell. It would do him good not to get knocked out quick like he was with that one girl called Zangya of Bojack's gang of blue skinned demons.

While Gohan covered one continent with his group, South America was being scoped out by Tien and his students. Europe, the Middle East, and the Latvias were covered by Yamcha's group. Africa was being looked over by Eighteen and the two heiresses. Australia and Asia will be looked at by Trunks and the two saiyan children.

Over in Africa, the three females had a birds eye view of the wildlife. Juuhaichigou couldn't help but remember an old friend as a flock of birds combed the savanna. She also watched with a smirk as a lioness took down a gazelle.

"And that's the beauty of nature for you," Juuhaichigou said to her students as she watched the pride munch on the carcass.

"Well I wonder if Gohan will ever see that I am his lioness," Asuka said to the group. Before Kodachi was about to chime in the cyborg turned and glared at her pupil.

"Is that all you can think about. How about you focus on the task at hand. Maybe we will find something and signal his ass over. Until then, not another word on how you and him are supposed to be," Juuhaichigou ordered.

"Loud and clear sensei," she agreed since she really didn't have much choice. Kodachi, perhaps uncharacteristically, kept her mouth shut. Although she felt as entitled to anything she wants like Asuka, she knew not to test the ire of a woman who is close to a super saiyan in power and at one time was superior to said warriors. The girls continued to comb Africa from the savanna to the Sahara and everything in between in front off or behind.

Yamcha and his boys were in Paris after combing over much of Europe for a sign of any intruder. They didn't find anything as of yet so they felt that it was time to stop for a small break inside the French Capital. Yamcha and Mikado were looking at the french girls in their stylish clothes and couldn't help but grin while Tatewaki rolled his eyes. Tatewaki was a pervert to be sure, but he only had two, maybe three loves in his life and had no room for other women.

The sensei of the group sat down on a park bench, lamenting that him and his students were in their martial arts clothes rather than fashionable suits like the parisian people. This wasn't his first time in Paris however as a slender, blond French woman in a white cocktail dress ran up to Yamcha and grinned at him.

"I see you aren't here for ze pleasure, Monsieur Yamcha," the woman smiled at the fighter. Yamcha smiled back at the woman and gave her the european greeting of two quick kisses on the cheek. However the French woman had better idea's as she gave the bandit a full french kiss. After he kissed back and they broke the man winked at his students. Mikado smirked while Tatewaki glared.

"Well your right as usual Mademoiselle Melanie. These two young men are my students and we are looking for something. Have you seen anything strange around here?" Yamcha asked.

"Hmm, well I really haven't seen anything zat you would call strange. I mean you have a flying cat for a friend. Iz Puar back in Japan?" Melanie replied.

"Yeah, somebody has to keep the old pervert in line," Yamcha responded. Melanie however noticed the apprehension on the faces of the two students and turned to them for a moment.

"Don't worry, I know all about Yamcha's abilities and he has told me about some of his friends. I mean c'mon , when you see someone with a flying cat you have to assume they are special in some way, right?" Melanie explained to the two students, who nodded in understanding,"oh that reminds me, when will I get to meet Monsieur Gohan?"

"Wait a minute...how do you know about him. I never told you anything about him," Yamcha replied, only to damn himself a moment later when he just accidentally halfway spilled the beans about the young warrior. Melanie simply pointed to two posters on the wall. One of Hercule and one of Gohan, each looking like they are in fighting stances and on the bottom they each read "Véritable champion de la Cellule Jeux", which translated to "Real Champion of the Cell Games?"

"Well if things get bad here in Paris, you will probably get your wish," Yamcha laughed at the whole situation,"and I guess that fight with Videl got transmitted all over the world."

"But of course, mon cher. And he had moves like you did that time you save me from street thugs. I just put two and two togezer is all," Melanie explained to her lover.

"Well Melanie, I'm sorry but I think our break is over. Got some demon hunting to do, bye!" Yamcha said as he removed her arms around her and bolted away with his super speed. The students stood for a moment before following suit. The french girl had a blank look on her face before she turned her nose to the air and walked in the opposite direction.

Tien and his group were in Brazil for what seemed like a big celebration. People were in the streets but there seemed to be no floats, nor a parade. Ying Na and the two Konjos combed the area over. Then two cars, which looked like they went very fast sped by and the crowd cheered.

"Great, we are in the middle of a street race. More than likely we won't have first contact," Tien reasoned to his students. The Konjo's heard him and then the two of them made their way through the crowd to watch the race. One of them pulled a gun out on Mariko, only to have that gun broken in half. The shocked attempted attacker was knocked out a few moments later by the Martial Arts cheerleaders right jab. Mariko and Shigeru ran through the crowd to the supposed finish line, much to the chagrin of Tien and Ying, who went after them.

Little did they know that awaiting them at the finish line stood a couple of cloaked characters, keeping their forms hidden from the spectators. Most of them are too busy watching the race to see two creatures, one with gold skin and slender figure, and the other is a big maroon and black skinned demon. One of the spectators turned around and saw the two creature in the cloaks.

"You know holmes, those things are so 19th century and shit," the young man said in Brazilian Portuguese. He then looked at the characters underneath the hoods and instead of freaking out he laughed.

"Yooo...who did your make up. That's some awesome shit right there," the man admired in his native tongue. Kanus was ready to pounce but a small clearing of the throat from Goldrag halted the Inferno Demon.

"We did it ourselves," the gold skinned demon replied in the Brazilian Portuguese that was spoken there using a small device attached to a necklace. The young man nodded and at Goldrag's suggestion he went back to enjoy the race. Kanus glared at his compatriot and fellow Demon Lord with contempt in his heart.

"Why did you do that?" Kanus said in a muffled voice with ancient demon language

"Lord Dabura doesn't want us to spook the population just yet. Why not let them have their fun before their eventual subjugation and/or annihilation," Goldrag muttered in that same tongue to which Kanus had no choice but to submit since it was their king's will after all. Kanus took it upon himself to place a scanner over his left eye so that he could scan for power levels.

'At least some of the crap from those broken down remains of the PTO are useful,' Kanus thought as he pressed his button on the oversized ear covering. Kanus's smirked when he found four power levels that were much higher than the rest of the crowd were headed toward them.

"Well Goldrag, we might have a fight on our hands," the Inferno demon lord spoke in a demon language long forgotten by any mortal species.

"Ah so the scouter does it's job. I would advise against killing them however since they may have information we need," Goldrag replied in the same language as Kanus.

"No argument here. I like to torture," Kanus gleefully replied in the demon tongue. The two lords stood still, ready for the fighters.

Meanwhile the Konjo's reach the finish line pretty quickly, along with Ying and their master Tien. The group combed the crowd when all four of them felt two strong demonic kis. The two Konjos were in shock when they saw the two clocked creatures looking right at them from a short distance. Shigeru looked at the black and red Lord Kanus. The two of them stared at each other from afar as Mariko tried to get her cousin's attention. It was then that Shigeru felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Shigeru, don't be a hero. You think those two are suspicious?" Tien said in the first part and asked the second part. The skater nodded and the four of them raised their ki. The standoff was prevalent for only a couple of minutes before the two demons threw off their cloaks. Kanus growled while Goldrag licked his lips in a very suggestive way toward Tien, causing the triclops to shiver a bit.

"So prettiness wanna dance!" breathed the flamboyant golden skinned Demon Lord to Tien. The crowd cleared and made room for the fight that was about to come. In a split second however, Gohan appeared with Vegeta having a hand on his shoulder. Vegeta jumped away from Gohan and was straight across from the flamboyant leader of the Serpent crowd did not know what to think about the two new fighters appearing out of nowhere as they stared blankly with mouths wide open.

"Thank you Tien, we'll take it from here," Gohan told his friend while keeping an eye on the adversaries.

"Just don't get yourselves killed," Tien said with a slight grin before him and his students left the scene. Kanus scoffed at the two new opponents as if they were nothing to worry about. Goldrag leered at Vegeta as if he were either coming on to him, or wanted to eat him. It's very hard to determine the golden skinned fighter's intentions either way.

"So you are my new opponent. You looking soooo mmmmannnnlllyyy. I just want to tangle with you," said Goldrag in a flirtatious tone. Vegeta felt his skin crawl as the thought of a male coming on to him tended to creep him out, but regained his composure within a second.

"I don't think you can handle me. If you were a horse I think you would be a gelding," Vegeta taunted to his adversary. Goldrag looked at him confused for he was unfamiliar with that particular earth term.

"He said that you have no balls," Gohan threw in , which sent the two legged serpent into a rage as he powered up. His face changed from a humanoid to a snakelike visage complete with fangs. The body also changed from bipedal to that of a giant snake that was coiled, though he still kept his arms.

The serpent completed his change and quickly went on the offensive on Vegeta. He flashed to the saiyan and wrapped around him before anyone knew what was happening. The snake squeezed the saiyan, causing him to scream. Gohan wanted to charge in but Vegeta yelling at Gohan not to interfere stopped him.

Goldrag squeezed the saiyan and felt his body become compressed. However Vegeta stopped screaming and started laughing. The snake was confused as to why his opponent would just laugh like that.

"You took the bait, idiot!" Vegeta squeezed out of his mouth. The prince then took this time to power up and explode into super saiyan. He then let loose an energy wave, to which Goldrag took the brunt and the lower half of his body exploded all over the place. Many of the crowd threw up as the snake crawled around with it's arms, screaming in pain. Vegeta jumped up and landed his left boot into the spine of the injured demon lord, causing it to yell even more desperately and not move around anymore. Kanus did not know what to think as for millions of years him and his fellow lords had never been manhandled like that. Gohan just turned his attention to the shocked demon lord to make sure he didn't try to come to the rescue.

Vegeta smirked as he removed his boot from his opponents spine and grabbed his golden hair. The lord had a look that he was fading as he slipped from his snake form back to his humanoid form without legs. Vegeta took it upon himself to throw Goldrag into the air and fly upwards after a few seconds. There, about 5000 feet above the city Vegeta plants his fist inside his opponents abdomen, causing even more shrieks of terror and pain. The super saiyan then opened his hand inside the warrior and smirked as he looked at his terrified opponent.

"I'm going to tell you something a thing like you would understand. I'm going to blow my load all over your insides," Vegeta told the flamboyant one in a tone which Goldrag would use against countless warriors.

"I'm not G-"

"No homo," Vegeta added before firing a beam which encompassed the serpent lord and made the sky a brilliant flash of white. As quickly as it came however it left as the energy blast left no trace of the demon lord, save for a few burnt bits falling to the ground. Vegeta descended down onto the ground quickly and stopped at about forty feet to lower himself slowly onto the street and went out of super saiyan as he did so.

Gohan gave a quick glance to his friend before looking at Kanus. The boy observed that the lord's confusion was changing to anger rather quickly. A red ki flared up from the inferno demon as he made a charge toward Vegeta. Gohan quickly went super saiyan however and got in front of Kanus to deliver a quick punch to the face. Kanus landed on his feet but felt a sharp pain on his jaw from where Gohan struck him. Before anything could happen, something came over the horizon.

A big, metallic looking military style vehicle pulled up, followed by several men and a few women in racing style group exited out of their vehicles and pulled firearms out toward the two fighters. Both warriors looked at the outmatched group blankly, not knowing what the hell those people were thinking. Then a man about 6'5" and looked to weigh at least 260 pounds stepped forward with what looked like a hand cannon with laser sights, pointed right at Gohan.

"You two causing trouble!' shouted the muscle man. Another man, who happened to be beside a 1969 Black Dodge Charger, had his gun to his side and exercised more caution. A brownish blond haired man looked to advance on the two, but the slighly taller muscular man of mixed heritage placed a hand on his chest, as if not to interfere with the advancing soldier's duty.

"This is not your fight, or did you soldiers ever learn your lesson against Cell," Gohan said outloud, causing a raucous with the crowd that was out of the way of the fighters for a while now.

"Did that boy just mention Cell," a black man known for his motor mouth said as if Gohan had really messed up.

"Yeah, and I have a bad feeling about this shit," whispered a slimmer black man with an afro. It was then that the man who seemed to be the smartest of the group stepped forward and tried to calm the situation.

"Hobbs, let the kid and the creature fight," warned the man.

"No way Turetto, I wanna know what that boy knows about Cell!" Hobbs shouted.

"I know what he said has to hurt your pride. I would want to kick his ass too! But you've seen what they can do. Let'em go," Turetto suggested. Hobbs lowered his weapon after a couple of seconds.

"Just take the fight out of civilization. No casualties," Hobbs ordered the fighters. Gohan looked at Kanus and the two of them flew out of Brazil to hunt for a place to fight. Vegeta followed them after flipping the soldier off.

"I could've taken him you know," Hobbs told the other man.

"If you say so," Turetto said as he entered his charger and left the scene. The rest of the group did the same.

Gohan and Kanus went until Brazil was out of sight and were in the middle of the pacific ocean.

The two of them stopped as they were away from people and Gohan was more comfortable fighting away from the crowd. The teen wasn't the type to want innocents in the way of a good battle. Kanus didn't really care because he loved to fight and figured he would get the best fight he could by following Gohan.

The two warriors charged at each other and started fighting. Each one of the were throwing a flurry of punches and kicks as they dodge and landed grazing blows on each other. The twosome flashed in and out as they continued their furious pace and tried to find an opening. The two of them broke apart which caused a shockwave to hit the ocean. Gohan smirked as he felt fine, but Kanus was a little more worse for wear as he had many more cuts and bruises than the current super saiyan.

"I give you this much. You're definitely stronger than your friend," Gohan said.

"Goldrag was a weakling!" Kanus said as he gathered himself and charged at his opponent. Gohan ducked under the demon's punch and threw a counterpunch right to the gut. Kanus clutched his gut as he doubled over in pain in mid air. Then Gohan upper cut him which sent him a few hundred feet in the air. The demon lord stopped his ascent and spat out blood from his jaw. Kanus powered up a bit and gathered a ball of orange/red energy for a major blast.

"Hey boy! Dodge this and your planet is gone! Inferno Hell Ball!" Kanus shouted as he threw down the huge fiery sphere. Gohan only smirked as he put his two hands near his forehead and charged up a blast of his own.

"MASENKO HA!" shouted the saiyan as he fired a giant golden blast, which turned the bright red ball into nothingness and crashed into the inferno demon. Kanus screamed into the horizon as the blast tore apart his body until only a few bone fragments remained and they splashed harmlessly into the ocean. Gohan relaxed as he no longer felt his opponents life force and went back to normal.

Goten, Present Trunks and Future Trunks made their presence known on the battlefield and smiled at Gohan. Gohan returned the favor with a smile as his own as he joined them in the air.

"Gohan, is that it for the enemy?" Goten asked.

"Little brother, it's never that easy," Gohan warned,"you be on your guard ok little man."

Goten just nodded in response and gave his brother a big hug. The two Trunks looked at the little scene with different responses. Present Trunks with indifference and Future Trunks with a smile on his face.

"I'm not sure I'm even needed here," Future Trunks said. Gohan broke his embrace with his brother and looked toward the lavender haired young adult.

"You probably will be," Gohan said, to which both Trunks nodded. The four saiyan halflings left the scene to regroup and discuss future strategies.

Meanwhile, King Dabura sat on his giant throne and went over the battle data between the two saiyans and the demon lords. The king could not believe that on what he considered a backwater, rural planet there were warriors capable of killing two of his lieutenants, who survived thousands of years of battle. Then he couldn't help but smile at the challenge that laid before him.

"So, retrieving the vessel of Lord Reaper will not be as easy as once thought," Serpentera, the Black Dragon Lord, pointed out to the king.

"Well boss, I guess I can take my big hammer and smash them to bits," Brumak said as he knew that he was much stronger than the two slain lords," and besides we will have a bunch of pissed off serpents and inferno demons on our side."

"Perhaps, but let's bide our time a bit and see if we can catch them sleeping. If we can't then we can at least make them wish that they never met us," Dabura said to his two lords as he continued to mull over his strategy.

A/N: Chapter finally finished. Next time will Dabura and his forces descend upon Earth ready for a fight. Will Lord Reaper Rise from his slumber to do battle.
