A/N: Behold! A new chappie! Thank you guys who love this story. You're the only reason I'm continuing this. You guys rock. Disclaimer: I don't own Heroes of Olympus, or Percy Jackson... not yet anyway. (;
Just then, an explosion shook the building as a hole was blasted in the wall. Sunlight and dust flooded in, blinding everyone. Shadows passed over the walls, malicious laughter echoing throughout the otherwise quiet arena. As the dust settled, heroes and gods, besides Apollo, gasped as they saw the figure standing there.
The figure chuckled as he strode into the arena, taking in the sight of shocked demigods and immortals alike. He chuckled as he spread his arms wide. "Ah. What a marvelous gathering. I never did have friends, or a family, let alone a whole camp to call home."
Up in the stands, Percy rose to his feet. He slowly made his way down the steps. His friends tried desperately to stop him, but he shook them off, his eyes never leaving the newcomer. His movement caught the intruder's attention, who snarled. "Who dares-!"
He stopped abruptly as he saw who it was. His snarl turned into a cunning smirk. "Why, if it isn't the heroic Percy Jackson. Hero of Greece and Preator of Rome. The savior of Olympus... and my kid brother."
Gasps escaped from shocked heroes as everyone turned to Percy. He had already reached the edge of the arena. He gripped the railing and leaped over it, landing on the arena floor, 10 feet below. He strode over to Grover, who was helping Leo to his feet. He stood in front of them protectively.
Percy's eyes were their usual sea green color, but instead of a calm ocean, like they usually were, they were raging like a typhoon. He glared at the masked figure in the center of the arena. "You're no brother of mine."
The figure feigned a look of hurt as he clutched his chest. "Percy! Are you ashamed of me? Come now, don't be like that. What do you have to say about this, dad?"
Poseidon showed no emotion on his face, but his eyes were cold as steel. He sat very rigidly, his knuckles were white as he gripped his trident. "Why have you come?"
The figure chuckled, shaking his head. "No introductions? My, your hospitality hasn't improved over the years."
He took off his helmet and everyone saw his face for the first time. He had the same green eyes as Percy and Poseidon, but his were full of malice and hatred, cruelty and wickedness. He had four long claw marks across his face, from their last run-in. He just smiled evilly at the campers and hunters. "I am Chrysaor, son of Poseidon and Medusa. The Golden Boy, and the ruler of the mare nostrum. You all probably know my dumb brother better though, Pegasus." He practically spat the name of the winged horse, and Percy could only imagine what blackjack would do if he were here.
Chrysaor chuckled. "You may have tricked me the last time we met, Percy Jackson, but you will never beat me in hand-to-hand combat. That brings me to my reason for this lovely visit; a few friends and I are here for some payback."
Suddenly, the temperature all around the place dropped sharply. Ears popped and teeth chattered. Leo's blood turned cold. "It can't be."
The sound of laughter filled the arena, chilling every hero's bones. A small blizzard formed in the air, thickening and swirling until the frost dropped away, leaving behind a figure.
Steam curled off of Leo's clothes. "Khione."
The snow goddess smiled, but it held no warmth. It was cold and not at all friendly. Like a troublemaker smiling at a substitute teacher, or a hunter of artemis smiling at apollo. "Leo Valdez. It's been awhile."
Leo scoffed. "Not long enough, if you ask me."
Khione took a step forward, but Chrysaor put his hand out, blocking her path. "Now, now. Behave yourself."
Shadows danced on the walls as another figure stepped through the wall. But this figure was different. It was about twice the size of Chrysaor. And instead of arms and feet, he had the claws and legs of a giant scorpion. His backside elongated and came up into a tail, a poisonous barb on the end. His head was human, with a buzz cut and a clean shave.
Up in the stands, Nico made a choking sound. "Dr. Thorn? But- how?"
The manticore looked up. "Ah, if it isn't Nico Di Angelo." He looked sideways and saw Bianca's glowing form. "Seems you never did get to spend a lot of time with your brother. You must feel terrible."
Nico shot up from his seat. "Leave her alone, you overgrown insect! Don't you ever say a word to her!"
Thorn snarled. "My, somebody needs to be taught some manners."
Nico drew his sword and ran down the steps. Heroes and spirits parted before him, so he got to the stadium in no time. He jumped the wall and walked up to stand beside the others. He pointed his sword at Thorn. "Why don't you teach me."
Thorn was about to reply, when the roar of an engine cut him off. The stands rumbled as the sound got louder. Chrysaor shook his head. "Does he always have to make a dramatic entrance? You'd think a few thousand years on a secluded island would humble him..."
The sound was deafening. The roar kept getting louder until a motorcycle shot through the hole in the wall. It skidded to a stop right next to Thorn. The figure got off the bike, and strode towards the center of the arena, taking off his black gloves. His hair tumbled loose as he removed his helmet.
Murmurs went around as Zeus looked outraged. "What is the meaning of this?!"
Hercules snarled. "I've had enough of your orders. From now on, there's gonna be a new ruler of Olympus."
Zeus looked like he wanted to explode. He pointed his lightning bolt at Hercules, but before he could do anything, the sky rumbled. Lightning flashed as Jason flew down out of the stands to the arena. He looked at his older brother, whom he wanted to beat once and for all.
"Your nothing but a washed out hero. I used to look up to you, the mighty Heracles. But now? I only see a bully. A jerk who blames others for his mistakes."
Hercules growled. He crushed his helmet in his hands and threw it to the ground. He looked like he wanted nothing more than to strangle Jason, but Chrysaor didn't give him the chance. "Enough! There's still one more to introduce. And she hates waiting."
The ground rumbled as stomping sounds got louder and closer. A huge shadow blocked out the sunlight. Grover, who was standing with the others, sniffed the air suddenly. His eyes widened in shock as he mumbled. "I-it c-c-ca-can't be... I-I-it's imp-p-p-possible..."
A roar so ferocious that it would make a T-Rex run echoed through the stands, making campers tremble in their seats. Reyna's dogs and Mrs. O'leary growled as the monster stepped through the gap. It spread it's bat-like wings wide and smirked. It's waist bubbled and morphed as it changed into different animal heads.
Hades looked pale. Er... paler than normal that is. "Kampe."
The monster laughed in reply, but it's voice wasn't heard aloud. It was in everyone's minds. Many grabbed their heads as harsh laughter filled everyone's minds. She even gave the Hypnos kids nightmares too by the looks of it, because they covered their heads with their pillows and whimpered.
She grinned as she surveyed the heroes in front of her. She stopped as she spotted Grover. She pointed her horrible, deformed, claw at him. "You."
Grover gulped as her eyes burned with anger. "Your the Satyr who caused the panic. I'll enjoy tearing you apart, just as I did your father."
Grover's fear instantly vanished as he struggled to control his rage. He was seething with so much anger, the entire floor was shaking.
Kampe's smirk disappeared and for the first time ever, it was Percy holding Grover back. It took a while, but Percy finally managed to calm him down.
Percy looked at Chrysaor. "So you guys want a fight?"
Chrysaor spread his arms. "Everyone knows that immortals can't challenge heroes."
Percy looked at each of his friends and met their gaze. Percy, Jason, Nico, Leo, and Grover nodded at each other then Percy turned back to Chrysaor. "If you want a fight so much, fine. We'll take you down once and for all."
Chrysaor smirked. "We accept your challenge."
The sky rumbled. A field of energy erupted around the arena, cutting the stands of spectators off from the gods and the fighters.
Thorn laughed. As everyone watched, his whole body changed till he was fifteen feet tall, at least. His barbed tail moved as if it had a mind of it's own. His talons elongated till it was about a foot long.
Khione reached her hands out and two handles of ice materialized. They kept growing until she held twin katanas, each about two feet long. She twirled them around.
Kampe unsheathed her scimitars, a mix of steel and celestial bronze, just like Kronos' scythe.
Hercules raised his weapon, a double-bladed celestial bronze ax. It was about five feet long, and it had a leather bound handle.
Chrysaor flexed his hands and his weapons appeared. In his right hand, he held a golden shield, an aegis. It looked just like Zeus and Thalia's. In his right, was his sword. He swung his blade in a wide arc. "Prepare to die demigods."
A/N: sorry it took so long! I'm kinda going back and forth between three fandoms. And with school, homework, wrestling practice, and work, I barely have time to read or update! :( I promise to try to update as frequently as I can. Thanks, now fave and review!
